  1. At least Jim Brown vs Barry Sanders would have cool highlights.
  2. Seriously if this half ends with the Packers down only 7 they should be thrilled, because they've been fucking terrible in this half. Without the two turnovers this game is over.
  3. Oh, I see how this Lions thing works now. Interesting.
  4. Unless Bush is going to fumble a whole lot more, this is going to end terribly for the Packers.
  5. Patrick Kane is the closest thing I've ever seen to a professional street hockey player. He just does shit you never see anywhere else, and he has no fear of doing it. Hard not to have, at the least, a sneaking soft spot for how he plays.
  6. 60's turnout was very poor (though at least it drew an interesting range of responses anyway). Don't remember anyone involved bringing it up. If someone else wants to run it, fine, but I've had my fill of it personally.
  7. So you got one shot in the last 25 minutes of a game against a team that needed the fucking New York Islanders to play the lead character of Weekend at Bernie's in net to lose a series. That's not really a step forward. Bernier played well (and in general I like him). Would have been nice if the team helped him out.
  8. Chris Letang seems to have gone back to being absolutely terrible again. He just basically handed Toronto 2 goals in a minute in the most ridiculous fashion possible for a supposed top 2 defenseman.
  9. I was just dicking around, but in my defense that was just me taking the "be the BBWAA" part seriously.
  10. Star Fox 64 is great as a sort of 3-D callback to old school "kill 10000 aliens and actually record a HIGH SCORE" days. I loved it. Once you get past the obligatory Nintendo child entertainment voiceovers, it's a really good game. Mario Kart 64 and F-Zero X are both must play, for completely different reasons. Ocarina of Time is "A top 5 Zelda game" but I feel like it's vastly overrated over some of its historical peers for the pure gameplay. The water and fire dungeons being awesome only goes so far to make up for the overworld map having NO ENEMIES and NOTHING TO DO. I'd take the original, the SNES, and the first gameboy Zelda over it without a second thought. But that's just me. But if you hate all those, I cannot help you. Your princess is in another castle. I am afraid to ever revisit Goldeneye lest I find it has aged terribly. But that single player mode was a fucking beast. Easily the best combination of fun and toughness I saw in a single player FPS campaign, at least up to that point, though Perfect Dark is a better game. That goddamn mission where the guy is hacking into the computer and you have to fight off waves of RUSSIANS who start bursting through glass windows for like 5 minutes was a madman. And yeah get Perfect Dark. The fact that those shitbums who made Halo couldn't man up and work out making bots and the guys from Rare had them working fine 10 years earlier never gets old.
  11. I am excited for that game. Either I get to watch the Washington Gong Show or I get to see a RIPPA meltdown. Hell, seeing both at once isn't out of the realm of possibility.
  12. Have you not watched Fletch? We need to do an inverse version of this thread just so I can say "I hated Fletch. Chevy Chase is a cunt". Oh God. I'm that guy.
  13. Thursday, November 28 Green Bay at Detroit Oakland at Dallas Pittsburgh at Baltimore Sunday, December 1 Miami at NY Jets Tampa Bay at Carolina Jacksonville at Cleveland Tennessee at Indianapolis New England at Houston Chicago at Minnesota Arizona at Philadelphia Atlanta vs Buffalo (in Toronto) St. Louis at San Francisco Cincinnati at San Diego Denver at Kansas City NY Giants at Washington Monday, December 2 New Orleans at Seattle Tiebreaker #1: Bon Jovi mentions during Buffalo/Atlanta game. I kid, I kid. Total turnovers in NYG/Wash 4 Tiebreaker #2: Kellen Clemens passing yards vs SF 81 Tiebreaker #3: Percy Harvin receiving yards vs NO 81
  14. The thing I like the most is the part about no more regional blackouts on the Sportsnet channels. There are days there's nothing on Sportsnet West that I wouldn't mind catching a Montreal or Vancouver game if nothing else is on.
  15. Cherry is 79 (albeit a lively 79), how much longer do people really think he wants to keep going? The idea that he's going to suddenly like double or triple his workload seems kind of out there to me.
  16. If we could get the crazy guy that calls darts to do rodeo, I'd watch.
  17. So very hard to pick Detroit and feel comfortable. But really, given the status of Green Bay right now, Detroit should win. Baltimore/Pittsburgh should end in a 9-9 tie with 38 combined rushing yards. Everyone will be so happy.
  18. God, curling's going to get bigtime. I may finally have to break down and start drinking.
  19. Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 48s Official announcement expected Tuesday by NHL: CBC and Rogers have exclusive English-language NHL rights deal. Believed to be 12 year deal.
  20. The Integer Menu just didn't do as well in focus groups.
