I can’t think of a more fitting fate for the scene that fell on its sword for an NXT washout/domestic abuser than to have said abuser main event every show in every company that isn’t doing business with Paul. They made their bed and they can now lie in it. Hope it was worth it.

So after calling out my employer’s HR office on violating policy re: background checks (specifically, they used information from seven years ago to disqualify me from my promotion when our union contract only lets them go back two), I was told I wasn’t going to be removed from the civil service list for the position I interviewed for. Then last week I was offered the job. So now after Thanksgiving, I will be a caseworker for the welfare department in Pennsylvania. It was a fight, but I got what I wanted and will be moving on.

Any idea if Gabe got over his grudge with Philly? I might try to take a trip to Derby City Wrestling 2018 out of morbid curiosity.

Called HR and my union. They’re not going to give me the job, but at least they aren’t taking me off the civil service rolls, so I can try again. honestly at this point it wasn’t even about the job itself, but I’ve been trying to get promoted for seven years and have gotten nothing, so if there was anything negative on my record, it should be removed (HR says there were no disciplinary records or anything, and all outdated EPRs are purged).

My heart goes out to each and every one of you on here who have lost a loved one to cancer. My grandmother passed away from lung cancer when I was 10, and a friend of mine from high school died of brain cancer five years ago.

Promotion fell through because they found negative work experience on my background check the last time I held the position; turns out that not only am I not being hired for that job, but I’m also being taken off the civil service list for that position, forever. So I’m feeling really goddamn cross right now.

Tuesday afternoon: get notification that I am being given a conditional offer of employment for a state government position I interviewed for last month, pending a background check; I already work for the state, so a.) this is more of a promotion, and b.) whatever background they want of me, they probably have most of it. Now I just wait for the final word. Thursday afternoon: I won a $50 gift card to Giant (supermarket chain on the east coast) by calling into a radio contest.

Based on how highly many of you on here speak of it, I took the plunge during a PSN Store flash sale and bought the PS3 Sleeping Dogs for $3 (no PS4, no plans to get one as of yet). Considered getting Capcom vs SNK 2 for $3 as well, but I couldn't convince myself to buy a fighting game when I'm the only person who would play it. Honestly unless it's like Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution single-player fighting games are a waste.

Was playing around with a word limit for promos. That way nobody has to commit to a novel for each show.

As I have the concept at present, the entirety of the match writing would be MY responsibility. As such, I would run it roughly as a real-life independent promotion, with monthly shows as opposed to weekly. I also can’t guarantee there would be epic PPV-level main events every card. Picture a summary type of description, similar to the news page of any standard indie fed, around 1000-1250 words per. I’m trying to keep this loose and casual, without it being much of a burden on me or my players. That said, I’m also not opposed to the concept of a Fire Pro fed, though I also assume not everyone playing would have it, and giving you a lot to do in terms of presentation would go against what I’m aiming for here.

Screw it. I wanna try this again because I’m in a malaise about actual wrestling, and I think maybe flexing the creative muscle will help. tagging people who participated in the old board Fed; @Brian Fowler, @Lamp, broken circa 1988, @AxB, @Raziel If you want in and were in the old fed under a different handle, go ahead and chime in.

Rollins just needs to embrace Inokiism and sayno to another 30+-minute match. (It would also hide his inability to sell an injured limb worth a damn.)

The only Rollins/Ziggler match I ever want to happen again is a title vs. career match where Ziggler loses. And Rollins shoots on him if need be, and beats him in under a minute.

Nah. For one thing, I actually like most of you guys, because you don’t become a shrieking defense force whenever I call Vince Russo a complete and utter moron.
