  1. Yeah my bad I got a little ragey there. I'm better now.
  2. I've been lurking on here for probably like 15 years at this point. I rarely post, because I like to read stuff, but don't really care to argue, but how on Earth are you going to say Sean Waltman of all people is the Mendoza Line, when he was a tag team partner of Justin Fucking Credible? Has the level of conversation and thought on DVDVR sunk so badly that Sean Waltman isn't a good worker anymore? Unrelated, Rippa, thank you for repping for Bobby Eaton, as Bobby Eaton is indeed God.
  3. Christ almighty, it’s like I’m sittin’ here playin’ cards with my brothers kids or somethin’! Nerve-wrackin’ sons of bitches!!
  4. As Cage goes, add Face/Off to the list for me.
  5. As a Knicks fan, I feel like this is the ultimate test of Dolan, and I'm afraid we're going to be locked in to 4 more years of Russ. The pieces have aligned too perfectly, and Dolan's gotta Dolan. Please someone, trade for Russ before we do, and I drive into a lake.
  6. I don't have nearly the same patience for long run times that I did when I was younger, and I definitely don't feel like it dragged on too long. Its not a spoiler to say the fact that it's entirely filmed in daylight contributes to the disorienting feeling for the viewer, and I'd argue that the movie being a little longer helps with that, as well. I was wary of the run time too, but I don't feel like the movie drags, it's deliberate.
  7. The Lakers would be better served buying $16 mil worth of PCP, but Klutch gotta Klutch.
  8. Okay yeah, you might be on the something there.
  9. I’m also in favor of naming their shows after Ryan Adams songs, similar to when Chikara would name their shows after Talking Heads or Ben Folds Five songs or albums.
  10. What's a good entry point into watching the MLW reboot? Starting from the beginning feels daunting.
  11. Not sure if Mauro’s reading The Road Less Traveled was the nadir, or if it was his inexplicably referencing Mandela.
  12. I thought Brian May looked like Young Howard Stern in the movie, and once I saw it, I couldn't not see it.
  13. I had the same experience. Woke up iitnof a dead sleep, saw it was 4 so i figured I’d wait to see what was coming on, and it was THAT. Then last night, I remember that Shockwerks is back, so I turn that on at 6, and Winterbeast is on there, too!!
  14. Did you get it directly from Grey Dog or whatever the main site is? What do you guys use to play it? In other words, is there an app or something I need to DL to play?
  15. Something I've never understood is the seeming consensus that Arn Anderson somehow doesn't warrant inclusion. It feels at odds with several other consensuses (consensi?). I don't think it's hyperbole to say he's a Top 5 promo ever, nor do I think its crazy to say he's a Top 5 tag worker, either. I don't think many would argue that tag team wrestling isn't very important, and of course being able to cut effective promos is, as well. He's also the prototypical TV champion, and gatekeeper, two more positions I would argue have tremendous value, especially at the time he was most active. While he didn't have a main event singles run, his being a part of the Horsemen and main eventing as part of the stable should count for a lot, since he's clearly the glue that keeps both the stable, and those matches (particularly Wargames) together.
  16. I’ve been watching Smoky Mountain for the first time lately, and hoooo boy, the promo Ronnie Garvin cuts when he’s announced as being Brian Lee’s tag partner against Dirty White Boy and Paul Orndorff is soooooo awkward. I couldn’t find it on YouTube, but it’s from episode #24 or so. Was Garvin generally considered a good promo guy?
  17. For horror, it begins and ends with um, the ending of Sleepaway Camp.
  18. I saw Bad Samaritan yesterday, and damn, David Tennant is really good at playing a creep. The rest of the cast was solid, as well, despite none of them looking familiar to me at all. It’s probably not a movie you NEED to see in the theater, but it’s really, really solid.
  19. Ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to be a gangster...
  20. Jesus, the most recent Simmons podcast is just unspeakably ponderous. The tv critic talking about SNL in the first segment was terrible, just endless “um”s and “likes”. I like Simmons for the most part but his heavy handed attempts to talk about Donald Glover taking over for Kanye was also really cringeworthy. Even when he’s being an obnoxious homer, I still usually like listening to him, but this past episode was really unlistenable.
  21. Yeah, that part is corny for sure, but I went into the movie with low expectations, and I was surprised at how decent it was. I don’t know that it’s a classic or anything but it was a pleasant way to spend 2 hours, especially if you have Moviepass.
  22. Caught Blumhouse's Truth Or Dare yesterday on a whim, and it was better than anticipated. I thought the characters were decently fleshed out, and it was paced pretty well. I thought it would just be a bunch of jump scares, but it was decent.
