  1. I dunno..I think Kevin Grevioux has an impressive enough voice to do it justice.
  2. So the World Cup essentially turned into this:
  3. Slater's promo lasted longer than his match. Which was astounding because in my experience I've found that the logic of "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!" never leads to anything but triumph. I guess if nothing else we've learned that Rock & Roll is inferior to industrial socialist factory jams. What we're missing is the beginning of Heath's run under Zeb's tutelage. I give it til the next PPV max before he's out there shouting "WE THE PEOPLE" next to Swagger.

so I've watched NXT Arrival, and that made me really love this shit again. Because it's how it should be. Now I'm sitting here, posting on the Driver and watching the AWA doc on the Network. Man I love this shit. Fucking Wrestling. If Aliens were to come here and see this, they'd fucking mark out and go native too. George Francisco baby, I'm look at you.
  5. Are you saying there was a second hurler on the grassy knoll? What I'm saying, Mr. Wolf, is that this throw up ...
  6. As far as you know, at least. Not with that attitude. Also, was I the only one that caught them calling the Zig Zag the Fameasser?

Any good place to jump into NXT or just go with the most current?

So..if one were to just get the network, what would you point them to, PPV archives and Backstage Passes aside?
  9. They way they've built it, it can't miss, and it looks like they've put a lot of care into making it look good too. Vince, take notes tonight, will ya?
  10. I think what Garrett and Coulson are plotting out is circuitry. Circuitry that maybe they can't figure out, but Stark can, thus leading to a possibly fun cameo next season in the run up to Ultron.
  11. Since the thread is locked, I'll put this here for the doubters and haters. Looks like the guy could've been taking his life into his own hands every time he did something: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/27030936
  12. Three pages back, chief. dammit, how'd I miss that! I put a good 3 minutes into this!
  13. Optimus Prime's first death. The revealing of the final five on BSG. Undertaker's streak ending. It's kinda like that. (yes I realize there are some better examples of just shattering moments, but these were off the top of my head)
  14. I never wanted Taker to go beaten at Mania. The streak had to end. Had to. I just was hoping for more of a Ric Flair kind of scenario, where he is inducted into the HOF on Saturday and wrestles and presumably drops the streak at Mania to someone who could use the rub, and then fives minutes of chanting and clapping "Thank you Taker!" as he goes up the ramp and then stands there for a moment drinking it all in and feeling that appreciated. Not confused, wobbly, and with a crowd that wasn't exactly sure of what they had just seen. That part of things, really, just feels like a disgrace to me and a disrespect to the man. The streak had to end, but it could've ended a shitload better than it did.
  15. Man, I will say this, despite my doubts about the validity of the streak ending (and I think tomorrow night's Raw will either prove me right or have me accept it. I won't drone on forever about it), tonight was just one of those nights that remind me why I love this stuff. The camaraderie of friends, being hooked into a match, wondering what the hell is gonna happen next...you know, we spend a fair amount of time shitting on the guys and what they do and why we don't like things and why we don't think they work and all this..but damn. I appreciate every one of those boys that put their bodies on the line so we have something to bitch about and the guys behind the scenes that keep us (sometimes) guessing (even if it's for the wrong reasons) and well, I don't know how many read this board if any..but I'd like to think there are that do. So for the guys that sweated it out in in the indies, or the guys workin' for Titan Tower..let me just say thanks. I appreciate what you do, and what you did.
  16. You know, count me among the people that this category falls under, but I was watching the end of the Taker/Lesnar match and everyone in room with me didn't feel that was a three count before the bell. It really look like they rang the bell firmly after the three count, to the point we thought maybe Heyman had ran over to ring the bell and that they were gonna throw it out and restart the match. The silence from the announcing team didn't sell me on shock, it sold me on "Holy shit, this wasn't the plan, let's scramble" feel. A lot of that did. Part of me is thinking they may play that up and retcon the win from Lesnar. Part of me is also thinking Trips is gonna roll in tomorrow night on Raw and take the title from Bryant or screwjob him out of it, so yeah, Your Mileage May Vary...
  17. *with a six month commitment off the top. So essentially the PPV was still the same cost as a buy in. The deals start with Extreme Rules of all things.
