  1. I just think it's funny how Punk didn't appreciate the misdiagnosed Z-Pack he got but still goes to doctors when he's sick. What a hypocritical piece of shit.
  2. Looked like Miz was the latest person to leave a chunk of their body on the LED apron.
  3. Has anyone seen The Incredible Melting Man? I wonder if the movie lives up to the amazing line, "He seems to be getting stronger the more he melts!"
  4. Simon Kinberg's listed as the director on IMDB. There was some talk a few months ago about him directing the next Fantastic Four, so it's not totally out of the blue, but it'll be his first time in the chair.
  5. I don't know enough about Stampede or Stu to say this for sure, but maybe his dad was a promoter that didn't treat his wrestlers that way and Bret just took it for granted because he hadn't gotten burned before. And Vince is notorious for treating talent like family right until the moment the knife comes out.
  6. I thought so too, but apparently they had an I Quit match the following month at Over the Limit that I have little to no recollection of. Then Batista came out in the wheelchair the following night and quit.
  7. Poor guy will never do a good lucha thing again.
  8. I think the Revival made Enzo look like he had become a really good face in peril because that was the only time I remember anyone praising his work.
  9. It was in Barcelona, so I'm assuming that had something to do with it. It's weird, the crowd doesn't seem that invested, but when Tito pins Taker the place comes unglued.
  10. High School U.S.A. Soggy Bottom U.S.A. What was it about the 70s/80s audiences that they needed to be reassured the movies took place in America? The Cold War? The elderly's concerns about the creeping revenge of the Kaiser through infiltrating popular entertainment?
  11. I don't know where this really belongs, but I just came across this and have some vague recollection of it. Captain Lou during his Super Mario stint doing an anti-drug commercial. It's pretty standard stuff until the very end when things...take a turn.
  12. There's also only two Terminators and three Indy movies. Any films that suggest otherwise belong on the planet Zeist.
  13. They finally have something of value that puts them in a negotiable position with WWE and they can't afford to actually negotiate because they need quick cash. Who could have predicted that besides everyone?
  14. If you look at the way they've treated Big Show over the years it's clear Vince thinks guys that large will always be over based on mere presence. Braun's going to move up and down the card and be booked as a monster or a comedy character based on their needs at the time. There are probably some sobbing promo segments or New Years baby diapers in his future.
  15. Broken or not, I'd like them to run the division until Dash comes back so they can put The Revival over strong.
  16. When they cycled back in guys like Sarge and Rude during the late 90s as onscreen characters they did excellent career retrospective video packages reintroducing them to the new audience. That's how I became familiar with them initially and it felt like a big deal that they were back in some capacity. I don't know if they've ever done anything like that to get across Lawler's importance (maybe during the Cole feud?)
  17. No hour-long time format, just endless hoss matches with increasingly larger guys until they do the superplex imploding ring spot. Every week.
  18. Yeah, the episode I've often seen suggested as their Jump the Shark was the one with the racetrack jockeys where there seemed to be an attempt to be as crass as South Park.
  19. It feels like there was a solid three years in the 90s where The Chase was on Comedy Central nearly every day and I'd usually stop on it for a few minutes when I was channel surfing.
  20. Hey that's not fair. Those lanyard mics are a real bitch to take off.
  21. Consigned, and really what's the difference between the beginning of the Austin/Hart feud and Braun/Roman? (The mechanics of it, obviously not the once in a lifetime talent involved.) Wasn't it just Austin beating the shit out of Hart and the crowd eating it up until the double-turn?
  22. Wasn't that like Frasier's catchphrase? Like his, "Up your nose with a rubber hose."
  23. Ain't No Grave being redubbed after 27 bummed me out. Although I've really grown on them using Katy Perry for Taker's entrance during the NBC recap special since it's so batshit weird.
  24. Bearer carried the Kane feud on the mic and was a great mouthpiece in general for Kane. And as much fun as the character's hokey early run was, he really excelled at being a prick doing old school southern heeling after he ditched the makeup in 97-98. As far as guys who were able to adapt their act to the Attitude Era, Percy is an unsung hero.
