  1. I'd love Keaton to come back for Beyond, but the only thing that would get him interested is if Burton was directing. Burton probably wouldn't do it and definitely shouldn't.
  2. A lot of outlets are reporting a rumor that Affleck has signed on for three Batman films with the third being a Batman Beyond origin story.
  3. I think at least some of the moon landing truthers believe we went to the moon on the later missions but faked the first one to beat the Soviets there.
  4. Bronsnan's are weird because he's playing Connery notes but the movies are much closer to Moore's in retrospect.
  5. Atomic Blonde is the best Bond movie in a decade. The soundtrack is pretty great too, although it stumbles at the beginning by using Cat People, which Tarantino owns forever, and Under Pressure, which is in everything. Come on, if you're going to use Bowie in a movie set in Berlin there's choice stuff from Low and Heroes.
  6. Foley's deceptively tall. About average by conventional wrestling standards, but way bigger than he comes across. It's probably his hunched wild man stagger he did for most of his career compounded by the litany of injuries.
  7. When I use to post at PWO I remember suggesting the notion that Flair didn't have too much to offer to developmental workers because he was sort of an idiot savant who couldn't articulate a lot of what he did or why he did it. A lot of people who've probably seen more Flair than I've seen wrestling matches altogether disagreed. I don't know. I haven't listened to a ton of his shoots and pods, but I've never heard him really get into specifics of psychology or mechanics.
  8. Affleck denied the rumors during the JL panel and sounded really enthusiastic about being Batman, his relationship with WB, and working with Matt Reeves in particular. I guess we'll see after Justice League premieres. Its weird to do Flashpoint first, but between MoS and BvS they've already revealed Clark's identity to Lois (immediately), brought in elements of Dark Knight Returns, set up Injustice, and done Death of Superman. They're playing the hits.
  9. I don't really care about Flashpoint beyond getting to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Batman(!)
  10. The comic con trailer is definitely intended as a patch on what's come before (highlighting the Amazonians based on WW success, more humor, etc.) I'm more inspired to see it based on this, but I'm still not enamored with the visuals.
  11. I don't believe they'll transition the cowl to another character. It'll probably just be recast. Everyone else I'd like to see in the role is probably around Affleck's age, so I really don't know who they go to if they're going younger. Maybe while Reeves is at it he can recast Serkis as Joker.
  12. I grew up with the Home Alone films and I know that's what Heard's most famously connected with, but he's such a goddam powerhouse in stuff like Cutter's Way and The Sopranos. He had more range than the yuppie executive roles he was often cast in.
  13. I'd be fine with college-age Peter movies, but there are so many comic book movies now that creatives are mining properties for nuances that separate their takes from every other adaptation. An adolescent high school kid superhero seems fresher and more compelling.
  14. He should put Roman over in a match. But then Braun should kill him dead. No-sell suplex city, broken in half, stretcher job dead.
  15. I noticed when I was watching old Smackdowns recently that they dubbed over the Disturbed song Austin was using for his entrance around 2002, but instead of just replacing it with his actual theme song they put in generic hard rock music. Weird.
  16. The show sounds like it'll basically be Wizard and Glass, with Elba bookending episodes and/or narrating. Of course if the movie tanks like it seems like it's going to, then the show will get canned anyway. I don't understand why they thought filming a sequel to the books was the way to go. They could have hedged their bets the same just making The Gunslinger and having options on all of the actors for the sequels.
  17. That's just one of thousands of times where the Walt Disney of professional wrestling could have have accidentally died in public on national television.
  18. I think it implies that wrestlers are independent contractors and front office people are employees.
  19. I downloaded Gettin' Rowdy on Napster and burned it to a school bus ride CD, so me I guess.
  20. Isn't this the show where Cena announces that Bin Laden got mercked?
  21. Road Dogg was always going to have a ceiling because of the level of talent on top (especially by 2001), but the only things that kept him from having a better singles career were his drug problems and their preoccupation with pushing Gunn as the Michaels.
  22. It's funny, but the one thing I take issue with is Enzo's look. He's only short by conventional wrestling standards (and still taller than plenty of former world champions.) He has a unique style that's at least culturally relevant. I also get the impression that a lot of women love Enzo. Though they do seem to be the kind of women that work full time jobs to support their boyfriend's attempts at becoming Instagram celebrities or tricking out their late-model Honda Civics.
  23. Landau elevated everything he worked on, but it really doesn't get any better than, "Now, no one gives two fucks for Bela."
  24. I feel bad about how hard I laughed at Sasuke because Jesus that looked like it hurt.
