I love the logo on Tommy Rich's shirt. You just know he went to the combination t-shirt/trophy shop in suburban Atlanta and told them he needed a shirt with some rasslin' on it and that was the only thing they had in their big book of clip art. Nothing says WILDFIRE like...dudes in singlets displaying proper catch as catch can technique.

[NXT SPOILERS] For March 16, 2016 (Taped 1/27)
Technico Support replied to RIPPA's topic in WWE PROGRAMMING
Yes, it does. Unfortunately, JBL and Jerry Lawler would shit all over it if they were to get called up. JBL and Jerry Lawler in 2016 aren't good enough to call Juggalo Championshit Wrestling. Now I want to see Gweedo and 3-D calling Smackdown. -
Kind of a meh episode until the big shootout. Now Abraham's future is completely up in the air since Denise died in the show the way Abraham died in the comics (arrow through the head mid-conversation). I really did enjoy "you sure can bite a dick, Eugene" or however he said it.

Grand Theft Auto V Talk.

I just started trying to play online on the xbone (got it in December, replayed the story mode first) and it's really been hit or miss. I got into a contact mission with three randoms but the "destination" for the mission never got a yellow blip. We got the message "get to the scrapyard" but no dot telling us where to go. A few nights ago, I kept launching new sessions but it would never find one with other people in it. Just all kinds of screwed up. I do like the new impromptu challenge things. I won a "cause the most $$$ in damage done" challenge because I was luckily on a highway, loaded up on stickys, grenade launcher ammo and hand grenades, when it started. Blow up enough cars to block the road, then blow up the traffic jam in a huge chain reaction. -

MARCH 2016 - WRESTLING DISCUSSION
Technico Support replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
My best friend growing up used the DDT as a go-to move in fights...it finally backfired on him when he tried it on someone and they slipped their head out of the facelock, so he ended up going down to the ground without them, then the other guy mounted and hit a face punch flurry until we broke the fight up... As for me, in real fights I developed a simpler, more effective version of the Cobra Clutch that I liked...then in the mid-90's I found out it was called the kata ha jime when Taz started using it in ECW... Shit, for a second there I thought you were going to say that the DDT was countered in a real fight by a northern lights suplex. When my friends and I would wrestle, I made a kid submit to a cobra clutch. I'm not sure what the cobra clutch is supposed to do in kayfabe but in real life, the worst part is that the victim's own forearm is grinding/crushing his nose. -

I just need a place to brag, guys. I've lost 20 pounds since January 5. That column really helped a lot so big thanks to you, CSC, for posting it. It really made me question, and improve, my relationship with food. The part where Barnwell talks about eating like shit because you've "already blown it" (ie "well, I already fucked up by having some pizza so I might as well just eat like shit the rest of the day") really hit home. Another issue with me was feeling like I was somehow "missing out" if I skipped an opportunity to have a treat (like if someone brought donuts to work today, I'd better not miss the chance to have one!). Both really are addict behavior. But anyway, thanks, man. I'm happy with my progress so far. -
MARCH 2016 - WRESTLING DISCUSSION
Technico Support replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Not true, a friend of mine ddt'ed another friend of mine once when we were kids and a lot of tears were spilled that day. LOL so clearly my one try wasn't an adequate sample and I should have tried DDT'ing dudes a few more times. -
MARCH 2016 - WRESTLING DISCUSSION
Technico Support replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I got into a fight with a kid when I was maybe 12 and tried to DDT him on the sidewalk. It didn't really work and became a half-ass front facelock takedown. So I just kept him in the facelock and punched him in the side a bunch of times. So yeah, the DDT doesn't work if the other guy isn't cooperating. -
Me! The backstory and references may go over my head but the show is good enough for it not to matter. That's awesome, thanks. You should watch Breaking Bad, though.

[MM16] Sweet 16: BROCK LESNAR vs. RICOCHET
Technico Support replied to RIPPA's topic in 2016 MARCH MADNESS (Archive)
You can write both off as highspot guys if you want. It's just that Brock's highspots are 300 suplexes while Ricochet's are aerial moves. But Ricochet has been integrating more ground-based stuff into his matches...he's been using the 630 less and the fire driver or whatever it's called, and the Benadryller, more. But anyway, for me it comes down to which guy I'd like to watch more and that's Ricochet. It's close, though. -
[MM16] Sweet 16: SASHA BANKS vs. NEW DAY
Technico Support replied to RIPPA's topic in 2016 MARCH MADNESS (Archive)
I went with New Day here because they're one of the only entertaining things on Raw while Sasha has gotten a bit lost in the shuffle of the main roster's shitty women's division booking. She was awesome on NXT but she's just another replaceable cog in WWE. -
Addition via subtraction: take Miz out of that match FFS
-
Not that either is a bad thing. Hero is one of my favorite guys to watch now.
-
Higher catering bills, 300% more elbows
-
OH SHIT UNCLE HECTOR Amazing. And the preview featured a shot of the skull-tipped boots so I guess the cousins are on their way in. Does anyone here know anybody who hasn't seen Breaking Bad but is watching BCS? I'm curious as to what the experience is like without all the backstory and references.

[MM16] R3B: BROCK LESNAR vs. AMERICAN ALPHA
Technico Support replied to RIPPA's topic in 2016 MARCH MADNESS (Archive)
Bravo. Just keep this on the clipboard for every "NXT vs major company star" matchup in this tournament. I really enjoy NXT but we're severely overrating NXT talents based on a small sample and under optimum conditions. It's like watching the Harlem Globetrotters trounce the Washington Generals and thinking they're the best team in basketball because of it. -

[MM16] R3B: BROCK LESNAR vs. AMERICAN ALPHA
Technico Support replied to RIPPA's topic in 2016 MARCH MADNESS (Archive)
Right, but Mil Muertes is winning his match this round and he's booked the same way. Shit, he just beat the company's top two babyfaces in one match. That is the very definition of looking unbeatable and diminishing the whole roster. Aside from a lot of biases and assorted wackiness, there seems to be no voting consistency when it comes to "this guy is really good" vs "this guy is booked in a way that makes him look good." A good deal of this thing is a popularity contest and it's going to be awesome when the final is Bailey vs Asuka. I have to admit I'm turning on New Day a bit for the same reason. As soon as I heard "Vince loves New Day," I knew the end was near. And God forgive me but I side with Gregggg here. I don't think American Alpha has been around long enough or booked in anything meaningful enough to warrant votes yet. Aside from goofball promos and flashy spots, there's not a lot there yet. -
Well it's hard to get pants that fit when you're hung like a....well, you get the point
