  1. What if: Brawl For All never happened? How far does a Dr Death push really get in 1998?
  2. Hunter is probably shrewd enough politically to have gotten ahead regardless.
  3. This post should come with a trigger warning just in case Cornette lurks. Sure, there's meat on the bone. But if those chicken wings have been sitting in your fridge for two years, they've probably gone bad.
  4. Their endless commitment to not going with any of the New Day guys as singles stars is infuriating, but it's nothing new. I'm not surprised to hear they're moving in another direction. And I think there are plenty of compelling options. Rey's got some shine on him again for his work with Andrade so people would be down for that. Cena and Bryan worked a bit over the holidays and it'd be hot. And Miz and Bryan could talk people into it. I love Ali, but I'd personally avoid putting him in the Mania title match at this point. The Kofi thing really brought out a lot of sentiment in favour of a beloved veteran. I don't want to see Ali get tarnished with the stink of a guy who showed up and jumped the line. Fans can be shitty about holding that against you for a long time. The Usos are amazing. Aside from New Day, I have a hard time picking another WWE team from the last 25 years with a stronger body of work. There are blips here and there, but they don't last long enough to qualify as a proper threat (ex: London and Kendrick were awesome, but they were buried on Raw and didn't have the chance to break through like the Usos). The Hardys, Dudleys, and E&C are the best shouts in the last 25 years, but I think the Usos have been better more consistently than those teams got to be in their era. I'd personally take the Steiners over any of the teams I just mentioned, but they were out of WWE by mid-1994 and don't really count for this discussion.
  5. Fans of that core group of guys would call this a best case scenario.
  6. Hypocritical environmentalist Bryan probably doesn’t approve of Miz and Maryse bringing another child into a world that can’t handle the burden of a growing population.
  7. Long shot, but is there any chance they’ve been able to keep a Rust Cohle cameo quiet? I’d dig it.
  8. So I imagined those house shows and dark matches where Miz worked face against him?
  9. Anyone know where I can get a larger, non-pixelated version of this photo? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Link to the photoset: https://www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania/24/exclusives/cmpunkdiary#fid-6765350 And a little something for everyone else:
  10. Make sure you lift the box with your knees, not your back.
  11. Can't wait to see who's the new Mary Sue or who people "can't identify with" or why anyone cared about Snoke or which government is piggybacking off the drama to run a PSYOP.
  12. I think they brought this up on commentary and it's a classic example of a dumb stat that gets rattled off so they can have a dumb stat to rattle off. There have been other chamber winners who started the match. I don't know why they're just crowing about champions who've retained. As if Undertaker in '08 was any less impressive than those four. Heck, Sasha and Bayley both pulled off the start/win last night. This isn't quite as bad as telling me who just jumped to number five on the list of cumulative Rumble times. But it's one of those lame things they've done a lot in recent years. Also, there've now been 24 chamber matches and in this post I've acknowledged at least six of the winners have come from the starting position. That's a quarter. So... not that rare.
  13. I know that Miz vs Shane is likely the direction, but I love how all the LONGTERMBOOKING~! people haven't said a word about Bryan vs Miz in months. Orton pinning AJ in both the gauntlet and the chamber means we're getting that AJ vs Orton PPV match soon, right? Finally? Please?
  14. I'm excited for the new petty drama to build on the old petty drama.
  15. I think it's reasonable to expect that Ali was going to be the long man in both the gauntlet and the chamber and get some shine on him. But my assumption is they've leaned harder on Kofi than they planned to Ali because the fans want it more. If he was the planned Mania challenger, is he dropping clean falls to Orton and Joe and getting eliminated by Nia? Probably not. They like Ali. But it's not Mania title match kinda like. Not yet.
  16. This narrative is based on nothing, right?
