  1. Namor is one of my favorite characters. Can't explain why, I just always liked him. I had a buddy that used to forget his name and just referred to him as "Undersea Spock" until I pointed out that Namor got laid a lot more than Spock does. James
  2. She just posted on DVDVR under a fake account. Let the girl nerd out! James
  3. I think Jimmy Smits was AMAZING as Julio Gonzales in Running Scared. When I think of Jimmy Smits his characters always stand out as guys who try to do the right thing. Him playing an unrepentant drug kingpin in a movie where I'm supposed to believe Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines could be action stars asys far more about Smits as an actor han it does about the studio execs who cast the rest of the movie (though it does have Dan Hedeya and Joe Pantaliano) James
  4. Grumpy Old Man Battles Future Japanese Self! James
  5. To say this match is clipped is an understatement. I imagine the full match is like watching the theatrical cut of Heaven's Gate versus the Michael Cimino Director's Cut of the same film James
  6. "I AM SO SICK OF KILLING MICE!" wasn't even the best line this week but it was the one I laughed hardest at. It seems like everything we've been griping about as far chracter development for Hank & Dean is being addressed. Obviously Publick and Hammer have made this season just for those of us here at DVDVR. James
  7. I don't believe Asuka wrestled for STARDOM but there are certainly girls they should pull from there. I was kind of surprised they didn't go after Io. Isn't Io one of the prime bookers in Stardom currently or at least one of th emain staf? I mean someone had to fill the void of power after Nanae got ousted. James
  8. I remember plenty of movies where Arnold walked away from explosions but not so much in slo-mo. He would just be walking away and then BOOM! and Arnold keeps on walking looking for more shit ot kill James
  9. I will send a get well basket to Trips if I can remember too. My neuroplasticity isn't what it used to be James
  10. The mere thought of WWE raiding Stardom and swiping the Jungle Pirates makes my head hurt. Lord knows there are enough good gaijin in both Stardom and Seadlining to pinch (I think Hudson Envy in NXT could really be a coup) James
  11. Larry is going to bring in their cousin, Balki Bartokomous as his tag partner. Don't be ridiculous! James
  12. The fact no one has listed American Splendor makes me sad inside James
  13. Wait, is that Yoshida making a come back? Can I hope and dream? James
  14. I like the implication that Eric Embry lives in the remains of the Sportatorium like Gollum was living in The Misty Mountains. I can see him now, cradling the WCCW Crusierweight title whispering "My precious..." over and over again (that is until Shaun Simpson tricks him and steals) James
  15. Could be an excuse to bring Liger back James
  16. I didn't know blowing out your quads was a mutant power James

    Random music thoughts

TMZ is reporting Vanity has passed She was part of many a teenage fantasy James
  18. Eh, Haing S Ngor might have had worse. I mean, the man survived a genocide, won his Oscar, did a few forgettable TV movies and got murdered, for crying out loud. Being horrifically murdered is worse than starring in Daddy Day Camp. Marginally, anyway. Hmm I should qualify that to "most tragic post-Oscar win list of movies made James
  19. It also confirms that Cuba Gooding Jr. has had the most tragic post Oscar win career (though I guess Snow Dogs did that) James
  20. Jimmy Hart in Memphis fits that bill quite nicley, ditto Jim Cornette until about 1988 (he morphed from punchable to someone who I genuinely enjoyed). Gino Hernandez also had this quality James
  21. and now "James Bored at Work Watching Youtube Videos Presents..." James
  22. But in all fairness, they've been stagnant because the focus was shifted away from them to focus more on secondary characters and focus more the OSI/Guild relationship. It is a little frustrating because just when it looked like Hank was going to stop being a dumbass and have a direction in his life that plot got dropped and now he's being douche rich kid James
  23. Dean has been listless sincethey wrote Treanna out. Hank has been stagnant for what seems like an eternity. At least the last episode showed that Dean has vision and will probably end running the company in the long run James
  24. I think of all the Chappelle Alumnus I miss Anthony Berry the most. He had so many great one offs. "DON'T DROP THAT SHIT!" is just the tip of the iceberg... hell in the same skit he also had the "CRADLE OF CIVILZATION!". He also had "Fuck right I'm a Doctor!", "C'Mon BITCH LEMME HOLLA AT YA!" and i nthe same failed sjkit just him saying "Holla" over and over agaon... God I haven't seen him since the show ended James
  25. Hell even in Texas Garvin was running with the Birds so he's good by me. James
