Agree on WCW Giant being underrrated. Yeah the 2008 post-Mayweather run was his best (and that No Mercy match against Taker at the top of that list), but shit, I’ll take 1997 Giant on WCWSN vs Meng, Roadblock, Traylor or whoever else over anything else he did in WWE -

Thus closes the chapter on what was in my personal opinion TK’s first significant misstep as a booker: 1) Sammy being the least consequential title holder in company history and 2) the fact that Miro ever lost it in the first place -

Mr. Wrestling II? EDIT: On second thought, doesn’t count as he and Wrestling I were clearly presented as separate acts, so that’s more a Lucia successor type situation. Ignore. -

Flair/Steamboat house show match I saw during that Spring 1994 loop. I was 10 and they hit all the classics. Was at Taker/Shawn 25 as well. -

I have kind of thought Mox would first come back to fight Punk for (in the spirit of the heel always believing he's right) using Mox's personal situation to get cheap heat. Those two just feel right soaked in red in bunkhouse match with kneepads over the jeans and Merle Haggard shirts. -
I think they flip the script and run the babyface version of the judge's decision, with Mark Henry playing the role of The match with Danielson would rule

Not to derail a thread about a great show, but when KOR debuted one of my initial thoughts was how - for all his insanity - Vince McMahon is 100% in the right to change these guys's names and own the IP on his programming. Here he is now with all this equity that WWE put into these guys, all debuting on the other channel using the same names and same mannerisms. I totally get it. So many awesome matchups for KOR in AEW. Can't wait. -

That was frightening, but it did warm my heart to see FTR stop everything and check on him. Pros. Greensboro is such a fun wrestling town. -
Give me The Gambler with some douchebag heel Phil Helmuth / Johnny Chan charisma and you got something brewin

With the book seemingly now closed on Roman, Paul Heyman is in kayfabe the greatest manager in modern American wrestling history right? Between Brock, Punk and Reigns dude is Nick Saban. Yes there was the occasional dud or misfire (Axl, Cesaro) but I can’t think of anyone else with sustained year+ long runs with multiple clients. -

Man they covered the Dusty attack on Arn’s pod this weekend and having just watched it, it was good for all the reasons that this Liv/Becky video is terrible. Gritty, real, cameraman is there for a reason. -

The sell of the arm off the table spot was so good by all three men involved that I was convinced Hangman broke it right then and there and was expecting the ref to end it -

Five star match. I might be most impressed by the ten star cardio. That's insane - Hangman's had, what, a small handful of matches since his paternity leave and has the tank to go a full 60? Damn.- 254 replies

Totally agree with this take. Additional supporting evidence being the success of Steiner in the very same WWE. I believe this is a “it’s the Jimmy’s and the Joe’s, not the X’s and the O’s” situation.
-
They totally need to keep Hook as the enforcer who only wrestles as a special occasion when Taz gets pissed off enough to SEND HOOK. Like the 2021 version of Mr. Hughes is Taz’s 180 pound kid, and in the best way. Getting that “oh shit, [babyface] done fucked up now” reaction.
-
I had the wrong side of the bet on Taz’s kid having 1,000% more pro wrestler DNA than Arn Anderson’s kid. Hook jumps straight to the S Tier of pro wrestler offspring along with Steiner.
-
Agree. Her physics are too floaty.
-
Best Friends continue to be the heart and soul of the whole thing. That was wonderful.
-
Solid ways to go out both. Heres to the Undeniable Epoch closing the show with a beat down tomorrow night
-
Well you have to account for the Codyverse’s unique electromagnetic properties

Yeah I don’t hide my fandom at all and have never gotten any grief for it. Like was said, dropping one liners (“the cream always rises to the top!” “that’s hard times!”) is a fun way to proactively tease out fellow fans in a corporate setting.
