  1. Sounds like they need an existential threat in order to bond, in that case. A certain next door neighbor of Tony Khans that likes to blow his toys up. A master and ruler of the world, as it were.
  2. They’ve really gone out of their way to preserve Brock/Lashley 1:1 clean with no BS
  3. Jungle Boy is still above Sammy for me. Not JB’s fault he’s been mostly on Rampage and in tags. He’s also improving on the mic. As for Sammy, while “why can’t we all get along” Sammy is better than Chris Jericho’s Friend Sammy is the TNT Champ, it’s not very good. He’s the TNT champ - he should be the one kicking Jericho out, not standing behind him silently while Jericho promos PnP
  4. I feel like Trent is sneakily one of the best dudes in the company. Like a lot of the better matches and stories in the history of the promotion have Trent somewhere in the mix and we never talk about him as a key player.
  5. Sign me up for that hoss daddy ladder match holy shit. Let’s keep it going and get Archer, Butcher and then stick like Serpentico in there to die many deaths
  6. The TNA Pluto channel is one of my guilty pleasures. It gives me strong justin.tv vibes from back in the day where you’re never quite sure what’s gonna be on when you flick over to it
  7. I blame Scott Keith for the early IWC’s poor view of dusty. God, that dude had horrible taste in wrestling.
  8. I don’t know. At what point does GCW just go too far off brand with yet another “he doesn’t belong here” invader? I mean at some point you are just going to a show with Matt Cardona, Jeff Jarrett and Cody Rhodes on it.
  9. I think Cody really quit but I don’t think WWE is the play. It’s going to be I Hate Steven Singer American Nightmare Wrestling Champion Cody Rhodes, sponsored by BlueChew. Card next Thursday in Alpharetta.
  10. So EVP is just a title and doesn’t carry any degree of equity stake, as no way Cody walks away from that Good luck to Cody, even if I don’t get it and hope he’s okay given how erratic his promos and interviews have been for the past six months - that ladder one was something. Going from doing whatever you want on national TV (often to the detriment of the show) to having meaningless three star matches with Damien Priest for 8 weeks in a row is an odd choice, but I guess it’s a choice.
  11. Everyone looking at Jeff Jarrett as the man to line up the money marks for the next national wrestling promotion while Cody was Keyser Soze all along.
  12. Steiner to me had a sense of danger that you don’t get with Jade. I’m not sure on a good comp. Maybe Steve Williams in UWF
  13. Ass Boys are a catchy theme (check), catchphrase (TBD) and swanky new double team finish away from that next level of stardom. And I think a couple month feud with Best Friends will get them there. I mean they have to do the layup where they lose and have to use the new song, right? There’s a trajectory where they are tag champs by the end of this year IMO. The presentation, charisma and ring work are there. AEW has so many improved acts from the early days but Gunn Club might be #1.
  14. Not even gonna lie I really want a Billy Gunn / Christian “two old dudes settling shit behind Bass Pro” match right now
  15. Very fun show tonight. JB is improving as a promo, while Austin Gunn has that Brian Christopher douchebag heel energy and it’s fantastic. Next week’s Dynamite is stacked!
  16. Charlotte / Naomi was an absolute banger, damn. Best WWE womens match in a long-ass time.
  17. I get the Mark Henry comp because they’re built similarly and they’re both Texans, but style wise Lee has that Bam Bam Bigelow agile big man vibe moreso to me
  18. wrestling needs more moves named after basketball players. Like nobody wants to get hit with the Vlade Divac
  19. Yeah they clearly didn’t account for the bounce when they walked through that spot. I thought Hangman broke the hell out of his wrist on the post
  20. I think the feedback on Hangman's early defenses and the Archer/Kane comp are interesting. Hangman's run feels different in that there isn't that obvious program for the title going into it. It was always going to be Jericho->Mox, Mox->Omega, Omega->Hangman. Those were multi-month/year storylines and it's similar to how Baker/Rosa is clearly the end game for the women's title. I'm not really down with how Adam Cole got this spot. It doesn't feel organic, as much as it feels like "well the internet says Adam Cole is the next challenger". Hangman really needs an organic nemesis, and I don't know who that is until Omega comes back. I get that the answer is sort of the Bucks and Cole is with the Bucks, but it doesn't work for me.
  21. Looks like Revolution is starting to take shape now. Hangman/Cole, Sammy/Andrade/Darby, Punk/MJF 2 w/ Wardlow turn, Death Triangle / House of Black, PnP/JE, Kingston/Jericho, Rosa/Baker maybe and something for Cargill.
  22. Oh yeah JR is ALL IN on Keith Lee. That’s his dude.
