  1. He was most definitely not alright. I don't mind the Jets TV announcers, but our radio announcers are the drizzling shits.
  2. Stoopid Jets. And stoopid every other team for not losing. At least I think that was their last back to back.
  3. Just started a historical league starting in 1901. Running the NY Giants and had the 2nd pick in the draft. Hornsby goes first and I'm excited because I have the pick of Ruth, Wagner, Mantle, Nolan Ryan and Manny Ramirez......until I look at their ages. All of them are in their late 30s already (Ryan is 45...I guess it doesn't matter what era you drop him in, he'll play forever). Immediately change my strategy and pick 20 year old Hank Greenberg. Decided I'm not going to pick anyone older than 25 for as long as I can help it. Look out 1907, my team is going to be a monster.
  4. Kopitar in the playoffs is a thing of beauty. Rather they make it then the fucking Flames or Wild. But at this point of the year, I'm not going to be choosy.
  5. One job St. Louis, that's all you had. At least the Jackets and Canucks helped out.
  6. Especially since Sharper isn't exactly a slam dunk HoFer. Damn good player, hall-worthy, but the hall wouldn't exactly be missing anything by his absence. This isn't exactly a Rose/Bonds/Clemens type of situation.
  7. I thought that was the Toxic Avenger. I was thinking Sloth, but that works too
  8. TPB is awesome. The last movie wasn't that great, but they are always consistently entertaining. No need to be ashamed for enjoying. Those guys are basically set for life up here. They tour around the country making appearances in character, they're a damned cultural institution. Lahey and Randy are one of the greatest romances of our time.
  9. Wow, good vibes to you. That's a shit year that no one should have to endure.
  10. Is this where I complain about spending four hours in the hospital to find out I have kidney stones? Not only am I in the worst pain I've ever felt, but now I get to live in fear of every pee over the next few days. I normally love peeing.
  11. Well, sure, but that's no fun to think about. I prefer to imagine Gorillamania running wild.
  12. This is it exactly. Equipment is only 5% of the problem. There's really no Garth Snow's wandering around anymore. Watch any game from the 80s, those goalies didn't move. Neither did the defensemen. Guys like Orr and Coffey were the absolute exception to the position.
  13. And Blake By God Wheeler.
  14. Thank god for the sad, dessicated, lifeless corpse of the San Jose Sharks.
  15. And there goes Scott Chandler's one great fantasy game per year...
  16. I really dug his run as AWA champ, he just seemed to fit the AWA mold so well. It's too bad that the whole thing was falling apart and there weren't really any strong faces for him to go against.
  17. Bobo Brazil? Looking at 63 results, he seems like the obvious choice, but it was definitely a different climate back then and I don't know if they'd have done it. He was already competing against Rogers a lot back then. Maybe they hot shot Gorilla Monsoon up to the top? He had just turned heel then, so probably not. Maybe if he never changed from Geno Marella.... Pedro Morales was a few years into his career at that point, but I wasn't alive, so I don't know how he was viewed then. I doubt anyone has the 8 year run Bruno had.
  18. Shouldn't it be the other way? Wouldn't the first ball out be the "winner" or is it more of a Royal Rumble, who can last the longest before getting picked by Bettman's poison hands kind of thing?
  19. Mr. Peanut's got a nice set of lips there.
  20. I think this is pretty much the death knell of the season. The Kings and Wild are playing too good right now. I'm gonna start dreaming about Ehlers and Morrissey.
