  1. Picked up Steamworld Dig for $3 on Steam. Between that and Binding of Isaac, I've bought two games for under five bucks combined in the past few weeks and have put in 15 or so hours of gameplay so far. I like that math. Isaac might be the best gaming deal I've ever gotten. 11 hours (so far) for less than $1
  2. Watching the early episodes of TNT they put up. What a bizarre show. I don't remember there being as much wrestling as there is, but some of the promos and skits are bonkers. I'd seen it before, but the Dr. D "Cribs" segment in particular is something that would never fly today.
  3. Picked up The Binding of Isaac (the original) with DLC for less than a buck on Steam today. Proceeded to play it for several hours. I like roguelikes and dual joystick games, so this is in my wheelhouse. Thought of picking up Risk of Rain as well, but I'm not sure how well it plays solo, since what little talk I see is all based on the multiplayer...
  4. Really enjoyed the Flair/Dusty Rivalries show. It's odd, but the biggest mark out moment for me was seeing Tony Schiavone talking about pro wrestling again. Dude took too much shit for things that were apparently out of his control. Bunch of good talking head stuff in this one overall.
  5. Listened to the audio version of Jericho's book. Enjoyed the book, HATED the narrator. They managed to hire someone who knows nothing at all about pro wrestling or metal. So many names mispronounced. Not sure why he didn't read it himself. That would have been so much better...
  6. Got CoD:AW via redbox. Buzzed through the campaign, which sure is another COD campaign. Only got to mess with the multiplayer a tiny bit, but they seems to have nailed that part. The added mobility breathes new life into their game. Dunno if I could go back to the older games after that, though...
  7. This Frozen Synspse Prime game on PS+ seems pretty cool so far. Maybe a little more tactically hardcore than I'll be able to manage at later levels, but it oozes style and when you get a plan to work, you feel like a genius!
  8. is there anything new on it or upgrades? That's probably still my fave GTA gaming experienceMy last playthrough I got sidetracked and basically ended up being a full time horse track better. Fairly early on in the game you can buy a house close to a OTB shop - easy way to make a lot of money. Bet all your money on the horse with worst odds, if you lose, just reload the save. The mobile versions are glitched, though - any winnings from OTB don't get credited back to you. Anyway, the 360 version has slightly tweaked graphics and achievements, nothing else is new. There's apparently some stuff that's been removed from the radio stations (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=128178422&postcount=3444) and, I guess, it's not been running great overall. I've not had time to fire it up yet, though.
  9. Picked up the 10th anniversary re-release of San Andreas on the 360. There goes my weekend...
  10. Looking forward to Luftrausers. What I've seen of it looked pretty good.
  11. Phantasy Star II for me. I actually found them recently going through junk in my attic. Nostalgia at its finest. I put a bunch of time into Rainbow Moon today and that seems super grindy as well. Loving it so far. Ran through the first dungeon and did a bit of power leveling. Figuring out battle spacing and how to properly maneuver enemies around to where I want them.
  12. I have my PS3 at my girlfriend's place as I wait for Microsoft to send me a new 360 power brick. Her connection is way faster than mine, so I've been sitting here grabbing all the free PS+ stuff I've "bought" but never installed. Doing this stuff back to back really shows off how much slower the process is on the Sony side of the fence. I'd have been done with this stuff in a few hours on the 360, but am going on day 3 of it here. Are the new consoles similar in this regard? Anyway, I've now added the following to my queue to be (re-)played... Arkham Asylum/City Puppeteer NBA 2K14 Shadow of the Colossus DMC Metro Rainbow Moon I get very little PS3 playtime in, so this'll last me a good year. Maybe more. Especially as I add whatever they put up each month...
  13. Didn't get my license until I was 29 because I'd not been seizure free for a long enough period for the state of PA to give me one. Finally got that under control and have been driving since. I don't have much of a choice, though. No transit system here and I live an hour from my job. I'm still really hesitant about city driving, even in someplace like Harrisburg, which is nothing compared to most cities. That said, when my gf and I went to Maine this spring, I drove the first leg of the trip. My GPS thought it would be amusing to route me through NYC. The George Washington bridge and, I believe, the Bronx were white knuckle experiences for me, but it's actually made me a bit more confident. If I got through that, shitty central PA roads are nothing...
  14. Looks like the Rainbow thing just has a weird label in the store. It's actually the cross buy bundle that's free, not the vanilla version of the game...
  15. Rainbow Moon isn't showing up as free for PS3. Was that a PS4 joint only? Not that I mind, as I'll likely play 50 more hours of Spelunky in the next few weeks...
  16. Yeah, that Sting preview is a really fun show. Between that and the E&C show I'm watching now, I've had a really entertaining morning. Wouldn't consider any of them an all time favorite of mine, but I've been more engaged in this than anything I've watched in weeks.
  17. I put a bunch of hours into Spelunky on Steam. Frustratingly great game. If I can get it for PS3, I'll play it even more... Almost bought a copy of Batman:AA Last week because I was sorta jonesing to replay it. I'll take it for free...
  18. Games for Gold content in October via Major Nelson: Xbox One: Chariot 360: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 & Darksiders 2
  19. Jeff Gerstmann of Giant Bomb has always talked about being far more interested in the current-era Desmond bits rather than the in-Animus segments. So, there's two. Heh.
  20. Diablo 3 is maybe the best "zone out and relax" game I've ever played. The combat is so damn satisfying. I'm hurling Force Lightning around like a Sith Lord and just tearing fools apart. Currently playing on the 360. Considering buying the PS3 version with the expansion so I can play it both at my girlfriend's place and at home. I could see myself still playing this a ton even a year from now.
  21. Though I don't recall the article, per se, my favorite headline was the "Sew Me Up Doc, I've Got A Match Tonight!" article on Steve Williams. I still have a ton of these in my garage, ranging from the mid-80s through the early 90s. Favorite cover was probably from '87 or so. It was a UWF cover where I guess PWI was sponsoring some sort of tournament. It was a whole bunch of the main faces/heels battling to grab the trophy. I just remember Gang towering over everyone.
  22. How long was Tracy Smothers in 2000-era WCW? Did he make the c-shows more than just the random match I found versus the Barbarian from the 1/29/00 episode of Worldwide? I had no idea he came back to WCW at that point. He would have been fun to have on the main shows.
  23. King Mabel? Easily confused with Hase, obviously!
  24. Though I've owned it for awhile, yesterday was the first time I put any time into FTL. I can see myself pumping a lot of time into this. Absolutely brutal at times, even on easy, but it seems to be fair, at least. I also started playing Marvel Heroes 2015. Click on stuff 'til it explodes and then gather the loot. Works with a Marvel skin just as well as any other, I guess. Heh. Should finish Dishonored tonight. Might immediately restart and try not to leave so many bodies laying around...
  25. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/08/28/games-with-gold-revealed-for-september-2014 Looks like Super TIME force for the XBONE and Monaco/Halo:Reach for the 360...
