  1. A bit of a bummer to me that the end game world quests seem to be geared to multiple players. I feel like every quest I've picked up this weekend requires other people to complete (or, in some cases, even start). I get that the game is largely a MP experience for most, but that's not the case for all. I don't mind mind that I'll likely never do the raid or the Nightfalls, but those are also spun off into their own sections. Being gated from these other quests just sorta sucks... Light is up to 273-275, depending on gear. Have a few more adventures and the quests on Earth and Io to do, but then I'm likely to move on until there's more content. Though I guess I'll pick it up briefly after the weekly resets and to see what Xur has. I'm up to 500+ shards, so I don't have to worry about affording his stuff each week.
  2. Put in a few hours today. My first play session where I didn't raise my light level at all. Been stuck on 267. If I get one more Dauntless, I may just have to sell the game. I think I'm on #6 now? The Pyramidion strike is great fun. It's gotta be clear to everyone I get paired with that I'm running the strikes for the first time, though. Everyone immediately pops onto thir sparrow and take off while I'm trying to figure out which direction to go. But hey, I made it through all the laser grids without going down and had to do a few revives, so that was alright.
  3. Also active. I'm sosman421 for those who might not be aware. No mic, though, so I generally avoid stuff that requires actual strategy beyond running forward and shooting anything that's shooting at me. I'm up to 257 light as of now.
  4. Don't know if I'm just blind or if they're particularly well hidden, but I can't find two of the region chests in Siren's Watch to save my life...
  5. I thought they didn't unlock until you finished the story, but I had one pop from an engram earlier.
  6. I think I put in 2000-2500 clan points today. Hoping to spend way more time playing this weekend.
  7. I'm now level 15, I think. Haven't seen, heard nor even sniffed a shotgun drop since lvl 3 or so. My kingdom for a shotgun... Edit: Haven't even seen vendors selling any. I think they were patched out of my edition.
  8. I've been playing Agents of Mayhem. I just had to check out the newest Volition joint, regardless of the reviews. It's entirely average in every way. I'm having fun with it, I guess, but it's super repetitive and most of the writing is...poor. I'm lucky to have access to games through work. Had I dropped $60 on this, I'd probably have harsher feelings, but free is the right price.
  9. Auto-collectors will save you there, unless you're growing free range slimes (which is apparently a valid play style?). I finished "Adventure Mode" but still have a bunch to do. Haven't messed with the 5-day challenge mode at all.
  10. There's so much going on in Path of Exile. May have to take a break from playing it to read up on how some of the various systems work. As a fan of the FFX Sphere Grid, the first time I went to spend an upgrade point, I was left a bit slackjawed. So many nodes to fill. At any rate, so far it's a good Diablo-like. I'm a sucker for a good loot game, so I'm likely to pump a lot more time into this.
  11. I dumped almost 15 hours into Slime Rancher this weekend. I was certainly not expecting that. Game is peaceful, relaxing, and utterly charming. My ranch is a nonsensically laid out mess right now. Pretty much going to trash everything and start over with a bit more efficiency and logic. I certainly have enough cash rolling in to do so!
  12. More World Class today. A few episodes from '83 and one from '84. Another Spectrum show as well. 4/30/83 (Samoans vs Strongbows, Backlund vs Sharpe, Andre/Rocky Johnson vs Muraco/Studd)
  13. Watching a bunch of those old 50s matches from the Chicago Ampitheatre that are up on YouTube. The commentary is something else. During the course of a single match, I feel like the guy can be both the best and worst announcer I've ever heard. Who is it? Were these Chicago matches his only gig?
  14. Four Boston Gardens shows from '86 have gone up so far today: 2/8 (Savage vs Santana title switch, Steamboat vs Muraco, Bruno vs Piper cage match) 5/24 (Savage vs Hogan) 6/27 (Roberts vs Steamboat, Savage vs Hogan) 10/4 (Savage/Steele, Big/Super/Piper Machine vs. Bundy/Studd/Heenan)
  15. Shadow Warrior: Special Edition is free from the Humble store for the next 36 hours or so. Looks to be a Steam key. https://www.humblebundle.com/store/shadow-warrior-special-edition?hmb_campaign=shadowwarrior_freegame_2017&hmb_source=bundle_page&hmb_medium=banner_cross
  16. For those interested in the speedrun scene, Summer Games Done Quick kicked off today and runs through next Sunday. https://gamesdonequick.com/schedule I like watching this stuff way more than I ever thought I would. Even games I've never played and have no real interest in.
  17. I also picked up Darkest Dungeons from the sale. I may be more stressed by it than any of my roster of characters are, though. I mean that in the best way possible. Haven't had anyone die after 2-ish hours of play, but I also has some characters who really aren't in the best of shape. Looking forward to getting back to it.
  18. 5 (so far) new MSG shows have gone up today. 4 from the late 70s and one from the mid 80s. If MSG shows are the drop for this month, I am A-ok with that.
  19. My descent into Watch_Dogs has officially begun. I'm not terribly concerned with getting 100%, though, so I don't know that beating the drinking games, for instance, will stress me out too much. Aiden is an asshole and I'm *really* not feeling the driving physics, but it's been fun so far. I'm also playing more Solitairica than I figured I would when I bought it. Takes a pretty basic Tripeaks solitaire game and wraps it in RPG mechanics. I've unlocked all of the different deck classes, but haven't managed to beat the game with any of them yet. I think level 14 of 18 is where I've been stalling out.
  20. I've been working in libraries my entire adult life, so this is a dangerous question. Without even listing titles, I can say that I have fiction, nonfiction, music, audiobooks, videogames and a DVD checked out currently. One Interlibrary loan (which is my current department) from Illinois. Stuff that I can specifically recall having checked out include: -Grand Theft Auto V (I played it on 360, so wanted to try the XB1 version. We just recently added M-rated games) -The new Chuck Klosterman book, X. -A new book about video games (Bit by Bit: How Video Games Transformed Our World) -The newest Mastodon album. -Audio verson of The Dead Zone by Stephen King (my daily transit is around an hour each way, so I've been listening to a lot more books than I read for the past few years) -John Wick 2 -Murder By Death DVD (Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers) The ILL is an audiobook that I actually finished earlier this week, but I just keep forgetting to take it back in. It's City of Blades by Robert Jackson Bennett. Second book in the Divine Cities trilogy, which I'm absolutely hooked on right now.
  21. I'd not seen this one. Your post made me look it up. Thank you for that!
  22. Buff Bagwell has been in the biz for 28 years? Christ...looking at the number makes me feel ancient.
  23. That Queen knockoff is so, so perfect. I've not been paying a whole lot of attention to this because I really just want a new Saints Row (I'd also love SR2 to be backwards compatible), but odds are that I end up buying it anyway. I just like Volition's vision of open world games...
  24. I think I may enjoy old WWF Spectrum shows even more than MSG stuff at this point, mostly because Kal Rudman interviewing Don Muraco is one of my absolute favorite things in pro wrestling.
