  1. Here is my list. 1. The Silverdome in Michigan 2. The ECW Arena in Philly 3. The Silverdome in New Orleans 4. The Chase in St. Louis 5. The Omni in Atlanta 6. The Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, also that little place called MSG If you're going to attend a wrestling show, the All-State Arena in Chicago/Rosemont is a must. If we're speaking historically, there's also the UIC Pavilion (Chi-Town Rumble).
  2. Yeah, I was a tad disappointed. I'm not sure if it was a rights thing or what, but it should have been in there in some form. I was even sure it would play during the credits and it didn't, unless it played during the portion of the credits I wasn't there for. That said, the score is still pretty good. And maybe Fowler can answer this, but did you think the audio production was a little on the quiet side? There were so many times where I expected to have my ears blown out or feel some kind of rumble in my chest from the bass kicking in and it never happened in the theater I was at.
  3. I actually applaud them for having the restraint to not do that. There are some...strange call outs or Easter eggs in the movie too. I swear there's a poster of Pac Rim Kaiju (and fuck all y'all that don't like Pac Rim, that movie is fun as hell). And Ford has a Mothra name tag on his little moth/butterfly house.
  4. I also wish they had the original Godzilla theme in there somewhere. I kept waiting for it and there were a couple points where I would have gone fucking nuts had they pumped that in there, but it never happened.
  5. The more I think about it, the more problems I have with it. The first 30 minutes are really boring. And it also pains me to say that Ken Watanabe's character is straight up crazy. It's surprising to see so many people just trust him. However, Ken Watanabe is awesome, so who gives a shit. The other stinging point is that the amount of things Ford (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) can do is ridiculous. Even MacGyver thought that was bullshit. That said, the movie is still really good, it's just much slower paced than I expected and it's plainly obvious that had to be due to budgetary concerns.
  6. I think I nominated Friday for the movie club years ago. I could be wrong.
  7. BTW, we didn't stay for the whole credits. Did anything happen at the end of them?
  8. I liked it a lot, but about an hour in and we would only get teases for hot monster on monster action. It made me think that for budgetary reasons they kept doing the smoke and mirrors routine until the last 30 minutes of the movie. Holy shit though, when those last 30 minutes arrive it is fucking ON. The build to the atomic breath was awesome as well. Anyway, like I said, pretty good, but there were some issues, ones like I described and all of the coincidences involving the main characters.
  9. I'd rather that Sandow join the Wyatt family as their long lost more educated cousin.
  10. I know next to nothing about the Flash, but great googly moogly, I will watch that show. It also has the dude from Ed in it, which is an added bonus.
  11. Ted DiBiase really is the worst businessman ever. Donald Trump has made fewer boneheaded mistakes with money.
  12. Goddamn! Hernandez is now being charged in two more murders!
  13. You left out how Austin purposely lost to ditch Ted.
  14. Yeah yeah, Michael Shannon made the movie as good as it was. Without him, man, I don't know.
  15. I also wish Austin or a listener would have asked about all of the ridiculous contracts given out to guys who would wind up never appearing on more than a couple shows.
  16. I may have misheard it in part 4, but does Bischoff throw Russo under the bus? He does it in such a subtle way, but I didn't think they had any heat.
  17. I watched Premium Rush last night and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable it was. I remember the previews for it and at the time I thought it was just a modern day Quicksilver. I think it's better than Quicksilver, but it's not like the bar was set very high or anything. Even still, it was good. JGL did a more than serviceable job and Michael Shannon is awesome. He's really channeling Willem Dafoe at times. Anyway, if I had to stick a rating on it, I'd give it 7/10.
  18. As the father of a 4 year old girl, I got the reference.
  19. Optimus is riding Grimlock. Yeah. I'll be seeing that on opening weekend.
  20. He would be better if he just started acting like Raffi from The League... or started playing kids songs like the musician Raffi. (Yeah, I made this joke before.)
  21. I worked for Electronics Boutique back when No Mercy came out. I can confirm that there were carts that weren't bugged and it did have something to do with the serial-ish code. Some more net savvy customers would ask to look at the carts before completing the sale. Keep in mind that this was back when EB's return policy was such that you could bring the game back within either 7 or 14 days to make an exchange or get a full refund. Open copies of a game never mattered because we would just shrink wrap the returned game (not a traded in game, mind you) and sell it back out as new.
  22. I bet Indiana is one of the very last states.
