Trying to live frugally, I made homemade laundry detergent and... damn, it works! I actually made two different kinds because I wanted to see which would work better. The liquid version I made melting a grated Fels Naptha bar and a cup of Downy Unstoppables in 4 cups of water on the stove. Then I added that to 3 gallons of hot water. I stirred that up, added a cup of Borax, a cup of Super Washing Soda, and stirred that up. After that, I added enough warm water to near the top of a 5 gallon bucket. I sealed the bucket and let it set for 24 hours. The next day I took a paint stirring attachment for my drill and stirred up the 5 gallon bucket again before transferring to some cleaned out, leftover gallon jugs. You have to shake the stuff before using, but damn, it gets our clothes really clean using about a cup for a large load. The dry, powdered version uses a grated Fels Naptha bar, Downy Unstoppables, Borax (1 box, I think), quite a bit of Oxiclean, Super Washing Soda (1 box, I think), and baking soda. I add 2 tbsp to a large of laundry. Once again, it gets the clothes extremely clean. Smells good too. I now figure I have a couple years worth of laundry detergent and powder, all for less than $20.

I thought that the last THQ published UFC game was pretty good, but you may be able to find EA MMA for dirt cheap and I would suggest getting that. I really liked the career mode for it and there are Vale Tudo, Pride-ish and Strikeforce promotions you can fight for.

Regarding strength and stamina, I've been playing golf and tennis and I never see the little notification come up showing that either has increased. I'm also doing well with both because I've played enough golf and tennis games in my life. Shit, with tennis, I'm damn near unstoppable. Not to brag, but I was ranked top 10 in Top Spin at one point...ok, that was a brag. So how fast should I see things like strength and stamina go up and will I not get notifications for that?

I feel like I need to go back and watch some Wildman/Badd matches. I never once liked Mero, in either gimmick. To be blunt, I thought he sucked. You guys seem to like him an awful lot, but there is something about good workers having shitty gimmicks that make me just not like the wrestler at all.

Played for quite awhile last night. I went through two rounds of golf, playing horribly my first time (shot pretty close to what I would shoot in real life, which is like a +15) and then the next time I shot -3. That could have been -5 had two of my putts broken just slightly differently. Did some races as well. Came in 2nd a couple times, but I kept missing out on first. It was always the race with the jumps, which is a ton of fun. Then I had a huge breakthrough with multiplayer. I'm a little miffed my team lost, but I played very well and the final score was very close. I did a lot of sneaking around and used my pistol for most of the time. I got very good at aiming and then slightly nudging the thumbstick for a headshot. I had two kill streaks as well. Assholes in free mode always seem to wait for me to steal a vehicle on Simeon's list and then they come along to fuck with me. I NEVER have anything other than the stupid pistol so I'm always dead meat. Now I have the itch to kill again.

I quit once Benoit and Eddy were both dead. It was just too much with two of my all-time favorites being dead. I did rekindle my interest some in the lead up to the WrestleMania in Detroit, since I was attending that one live, but I always thought that would be a good stopping point for me. I then got back into it probably around 2010 or so. As best as I can tell, I really start remembering stuff right around the time with the Nexus angle started.

It's the CBA, so I suppose it is what it is, but yeah, I don't think the team should get compensation because they fucked around with low balling someone.

I agree, but that's not what normal cards look like any more due to how saturated things have become. I think "should" is irrelevant because we're probably never getting back to what things were like with 12 to 15 shows a year. The new normal is one or two big fights on top and then a bunch of filler that could be good or poor matches. Then if we're lucky, we're treated to a card like this where most things align in just the right way to give us a bunch of pretty good match-ups.

I haven't kept up much with the big club, but I did notice Arismendy Alcantara got called up, and after his first game where he went 0-4, he's been very good. Small sample size, but I'm excited since I had assumed he was just going to be up for two days while Barney went on maternity leave. Now I want Barney to take an extended sabbatical somewhere else... Yeah, I was coming here to talk about some of this stuff. In addition to the big homers game for the Fantastic 4, Bryant has hit 32 homers this season. THIRTY-TWO. GOT-DAYUM. Yeah, I'm all in for the "fuck drafting pitching" approach and just having a farm built on raising DESTROYERS.
