  1. It was never specifically mentioned that Travis was Rust’s dad. You can just put 2 and 2 together with them having the same last name and Rust mentioning that his dad was in Alaska in season one (I didn’t remember that, saw it pointed out elsewhere). Rust may have also mentioned that his dad had Leukemia at some point, too, but I’m not sure. Also, the Tuttle name that comes up as the company that owns the research lab, etc. is the same name as the villainous rich family in season one. I don’t think these things are anything more than Easter eggs for fans. It’s not going to lead to Rust showing up in the last episode to save someone and then they join forces to battle the Tuttles once and for all or any shit like that. I think it’s just sprinkling in some little things for fun.
  2. If he decided to fight this, that could be his defense. ”Your honor, I refer you to Exhibit A: my client’s entire season. Now, could any reasonable person say that this performance was enhanced?”
  3. Nope, nope, nope on the bolded part. You keep sharing when you feel like you need to.
  4. “Why can’t they just have nice wrestling matches where the boys just have fun and no one gets hurt!!?!” - my mom probably
  5. I can’t imagine a situation where a WWE scripted show is remotely watchable.
  6. Danielson/Ultimo Guerrero is pretty cool, too.
  7. No, I think they're saying Garcia is more in the Orange role where he's the star of the bunch with his friends (Menard and Parker) being the "loveable jobbers". Garcia wins championships, has major feuds, etc. while occasionally coming to the aid of his friends or teaming with them.
  8. Totally agree. I think Heenan may be the best overall performer in pro wrestling history. He was a great worker, heat magnet as a manager and one of the best on commentary to ever do it. It’s a real short list of people who were successful in so many different roles.
  9. I feel like The Rock practices smiling.
  10. If they'd have had to do the OT halftime, they has Sisqo* on standby to do a little show. *Was trying to think of who the poor-man's Usher would be.
  11. The commentators (and the ref during the coin toss) kept referring to OT as "a whole new game". So, no, I believe KC would've continued with that drive. Each team gets a full possession before it can end.
  12. The second Jumanji had Rock and Awkwafina both doing a Danny DeVito impression for most of the movie that sounded like neither of them had ever heard DeVito talk.
  13. Steve Austin’s Instagram is almost exclusively content with him and his barn cats Pancho and Lefty (well, mostly Pancho, as Lefty is pretty shy) and it’s adorable.
  14. The stuff he’s done while handcuffed looks brutal. But when you see what Darby does in his spare time, his wrestling bumps look pretty tame.
  15. The worst kind of entertainment is the kind made "for everyone". The best stuff is often made to amuse the creator and that's it.
  16. @Contentious C The first Despicable Me is cute. A nice premise and the minions are fun. People saw it, and were like, "Those little minions sure are fun!" Hollywood heard that and was like, "YOU LIKE THOSE MINIONS!?!?! YOU LIKE THEM, DO YA!?!!? WELL, HERE'S EIGHTEEN FUCKING MORE MOVIES WITH THE LITTLE FUCKERS AND THEY'RE GOING TO GET MORE ANNOYING WITH EACH ONE!!! YOU LIKE THAT!?!?!" as Hollywood tends to do.
  17. Kemonito is still around, right? Oh, man. I need a Mox/Kemonito interaction at some point. Isn't there an evil version of Kemonito now? I want to say Kemalito? (Googled it. Yes!) Ok, instead, I want Mox to take a liking to Kemalito and have him be his permanent sidekick.
  18. I'm not sure I'm ready for Joe to not be champ already, but I do think Swerve will make a great champ at some point. The way his character has become, he can easily switch between heel or face depending on his opponent. It sort of reminds me of the old touring champion switching it up depending on the territory's challenger.
  19. I had done something to get grounded the week of that show. Of course, since wrestling was by far my favorite thing at that point, my punishment was no wrestling for a week. Buuuuuut, my parents neglected to inform the babysitter I had on the day of the Clash of my punishment. So, I got to enjoy the show in all it's glory. I thought Sting was the coolest, but didn't hold out much hope that he'd win the title. As the match went on, I kept thinking he may actually do it. I don't think I'd ever seen a match that long at that point in my wresting fandom, so it really stood out to me. If I recall, that was also the same day as WMIV. I would occasionally switch over to scramble-vision and check in on what was happening there.
  20. Starks is weird. He's just so inconsistent. I've seen stuff out of him where I'm fully on-board. Fuck yeah! This guy is the future! Then, there are times where I wonder if he'd rather be somewhere else.
  21. Not to speak for @hammerva, but in my opinion, Sting should get to go out on a high note. I don't think he should lose to any heels in his last match. If it was a case of the Bucks still being faces and doing sort of an HBK/Flair thing where they want to be in his last match because they respect/love him so much, then I'd be ok with them winning. It could be a passing of the torch thing, and that would be nice. But now, it'd be some dastardly heels beating down Sting, his sons and Darby, and then taking the belts to send him into retirement on a downer note.
  22. We went to see the last Minions movie at the drive-in (I think it was a double feature with Thor 4). My daughter and I decided to get snacks about 15 minutes in. The line was so long, we missed like the next 45 minutes of the movie. Later, my son had it on at home and we agreed that standing in line for snacks was definitely preferable to actually watching that movie.
  23. I think if Jericho wants to keep going, more power to him. I just wish he’d realize his limitations. When he did the more grounded, hard-hitting stuff with Kingston and Danielson it worked. He just needs to accept that there are certain things his body won’t allow him to do anymore. Why attempt some complicated top-rope reversal or whatever if there’s zero chance it’ll look right and there’s a high chance you injure yourself or your opponent?
  24. I bet the trophy budget for Japanese promotions in the 70's/80's/90's was insane.
  25. Superbad is really very wholesome.
