AEW TV - 10/16 - 10/22/2024 - Found Out About Yuta

Being from a rural area originally, I have actually witnessed some dudes pull up all piled in the back of a pickup truck, jump out and have a fight, then jump back in and speed away. Wasn't all that uncommon. -

I noticed that too. Dude does NOT like wearing regular clothes, apparently. And, yes, I too am getting great enjoyment out of the wrecking of fools. I’ve long maintained that what is missing from modern pro wrestling is the wreckage of foolish wrestlers. Nice to see it coming back. -
The kids went to bed about halftime, and I decided I'd stay up and watch some more. I was asleep in less than five minutes. Even my mom was complaining about how terrible it was this morning.

Mentioned back in August that my son was playing tackle football. Well, season ended with a championship! We won the regular season in our league and then went on to win the playoffs. We beat the only team that had beaten us during the regular season in the finals. I helped coach this year. Really, I was a glorified wrangler on the sidelines, but I'm so proud of all of our guys. We had a couple that looked like they could barely move in full pads to start the season that became valuable contributors as the season went on. It's so cool to see a kid finally flip the switch and really get what they're doing and be so proud of themselves for it. Of course there is a lot of toxicity in youth sports these days, but we were lucky to have supportive coaches who knew how to mix having a good time with winning some games, too. My little guy started at center and outside linebacker all year. We never really had a backup center, so he was in there for 99% of our offensive snaps, and stayed on the field for D most of the time, too. He took some bumps and bruises, but always got back up and got back in the game. He really took on a leadership role on the field, too. He was able to make sure his teammates were in the right spot and knew their assignments. He was also the first guy there to celebrate someone else breaking a big play or making a big tackle. He was rewarded with a selection for the league's pro bowl in a few weeks, too. So happy for him! I never thought I'd have so much stress and happiness riding on a group of 6-8 year olds playing football.

Wow! Thats awesome.

I can see it being annoying if it's so bad that it become distracting. But, isn't the gripe with Costas from people this year that he's boring?
-
You know, Mox/BCC running rampant over AEW and causing Hangman and Swerve to have to come together to save everyone wouldn't be the worst thing ever.
-
Eh, sometimes it comes in handy.

Hope the interview went well. Were you… ?

Strong username/prospective job synergy you've got there.

I was hoping you'd have some sort of Brass Knux title in there. Nice work.

I don't think it was every firmly established that Rush was officially in the Don Callis Family. I know he managed him in some tags. I may have missed it. One thing this does do is add credence to the idea that TK reads our board still. I was just lamenting with someone on here for the days of heel managers swapping guys and generally cooperating with each other (until one inevitably backstabs the other, of course). -
She's probably just "asking questions". In fact, I'd bet good money on that being her response when she inevitably gets called out for posting that shit.

Darby is probably in my top 3 or so of wrestlers I get excited to see wrestle. I don't need to hear him cut any more promos, though. -
Subscribed! Any matches in particular you'd point to as a good starting place to dig in?

Quoting Contentious C from last week's thread... My son was asking who my least favorite player was, and I said Brady. He was like, "What!?!? He's the GOAT! How could you not like him!?!?!" Now, he feels the same way about Mahomes.
-
Had to be or was escorted out? Because if he had to be, that's something.

I still joke about Yokozuna joining the Hart Foundation, so that one's still got legs.
-
Did not expect to learn today that quite a few DVDVR members are missing parts of fingers!
-
Probably scouting for down-on-their-luck waitresses that he could possibly traffic.
-
My son pointed out that Trent Green sounds like Don Callis, and now I can’t unhear it.

This Ravens/Bengals game is a blast!
-
I don't know what you expected. His name's not Good Knievel.

Has there been any sort of mention of someone higher up than Mox in the current BCC? Even a tease of someone else being in the group? -
One of my favorite things about Evans back in ROH was that he was so flexible, guys like Danielson could bend him into all sorts of painful-looking submissions. Like this: https://preview.redd.it/1ebfcnlmxb751.gif?width=573&format=mp4&s=a2f87dc443bc55ef9e57c6e4e02f4e449f0d89fd There's also an Austin Aries/Evans vs. Danielson/Samoa Joe match from '05 where Joe and Bryan just find new and exciting ways to kill poor Jack.
