NWA76 is due to begin airing this Tuesday, 10/1. HOWEVER, the NWA/CW deal expires on 9/30. No announcement on if and/or where this will actually air. I'd have to speculate that we're headed back to YouTube.

info taken from this youtube video (since of course the NWA hasn't addressed this at all): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOzhfxh9mkE

NWA have announced today that they are moving to twitter/X to air the next 5 weeks of NWA Powerrr which will cover NWA 76.

Their taping schedule is always so odd. After finishing the Crockett Cup tapings right before 76, it then went to these Back to the Territories tapings from back in June. Currently working my way through those episodes which included Knox & Murdoch winning the tag titles, ending the long Blunt Force Trauma reign.  week 2 featuring a fun Pretty Empowered street fight, and a couple more episodes to go.

NWA Powerrr now on Twitter.  First episode of NWA 76 gets right to it with the tag titles and world title matches. Pretty quick watch with only those 2 matches and an opening Billy Corgan promo, extending an open invite to Shane Douglas and getting a Blue Meanie appearance.

Spoiler

Granted it was taped over a month ago at this point but, Thom Latimer defeats EC3 to become the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion

of course they are. I guess after these 5 weeks they'll move over to Truth Social.

NWA on X week 3 features a fun Jack Cartwheel/Alex Misery match and the Burke women's invitational which is always entertaining each year. the Tiffany Nieves/Natalia Markova final 2 was great, nice spectacular finish.

NWA on X week 4 features new US Tag champs and new Women's Tag champs crowned. Ella Envy rules, I dig her and Ms. Starr as the IT Girls.

Tomorrow's episode will be week 5 which should finish out NWA 76 as they initially said Powerrr would air on X for 5 weeks but with no change announced, I assume it will stay this way. NWA taped Samhain 2 this past weekend which will probably start airing in a few weeks.

NWA is celebrating their 200th episode of POWERRR! by airing on YouTube this week!
I haven't watched an NWA event in over a year (since they were last on YouTube....this thread shows my last post about watching from February 2024). Haven't followed it at all, so i don't know any of the storylines and if there's any roster churn it will also be new to me.
This is part of the Shockwave event. Not sure if it's the first part, the last part, or somewhere in between, but here we are!

Spoiler

Joe Galli is your lead announcer, along with Billy William Patrick Corrigan, and Danny Dealz. i think it's these three, anyway. They're never introduced or shown.

Country Gentlemen (AJ & KC Cazana) vs. Size Matters (Sam Stackhouse & Eric Smalls)
Stackhouse is a girthy fella, and Smalls is a.... is it still acceptable to say "midget" within the context of pro wrestling, or have we upgraded to "little person" now? The CG's manager (Papa Joe Cazana) is playing a Col. Sanders lookalike gimmick, and the crowd chants "KFC" at him.
the very nature of having a non-lucha mini involved in the match limits the ceiling on the quality here, but this is fine i guess. Stackhouse is also not overly mobile. The announcers mention this is non-title, by the way (no titles were shown, so i don't know who the champs are or of what).
Col. Sanders tries to interfere, but Smallz punches him in the dick. AJ takes the opportunity to land a big powerslam and win the match.

a skit at the Paige house. Kenzie is not only the women's champ, but also half of the tag champs. She is putting a lot of pressure on herself. Her family is there to back her up and support her. This was a pretty decent video.

National Title:  Mims (c) vs. Mike Mondo
i'm not familiar with Mondo, but Mims was fun enough in the last run that i watched. This sees a lot of power matching between these two, and is a fun watch. At about the 5 minute mark, Corgan mentions that Mims is in "deep water" with the match going so long. I am a bit perplexed. shitty ending, with Mondo looking like he has this in the bag until Mims' manager gets into the ring. Mondo puts Mims' manager in a sideways crab, but Mims rolls him up to retain.

Danny Dealz is back with a merch announcement.

Promo with Aron Stevens running down Thom Latimer. Stevens is so good at this sort of theatrical presentation. He's seemingly challenging Latimer, but last i knew Stevens was a manager only. Went a bit longer than it needed to as far as voiceovers go, but it was good.

Some guy with his arm in a sling approaches Natalia Markova in the gym. She's facing a man (Paige's brother?) in a match that she either wins a shot at the Burke, or never gets another opportunity. It is fine but both could use acting lessons

Mike Knox comes out for an in-ring interview.
Corgan: "i'm disappointed about what's to follow. I obviously know what's going to happen but .....it is not good news." wtf. why would you say that?
co-tag team champ Trevor Murdoch is not present due to weather. they were set to defend the tag titles, but now the title defense has been postponed. Knox challenges the SlimeBallz to a handicap match, and if they win, they will be granted TWO title shots.
Mike Knox (c)  vs.  SlimeBallz (Sage Chantz & Tommy Rant)
Knox squashes both these guys in like one minute. Knox walks towards the back, but the SlimeBallz talk a bunch of trash so they are going to have another match.

Mike Knox (c)  vs.  SlimeBallz
after a commercial break, in a much slower match, Knox squashes both of these guys again, but a manager named Carson interferes, puts one of the SlimeBallz on top, and they score the upset. This was utter trash.

the Southern 6 are in a bar having a bit of an argument. I guess in a prior match, Thrillbilly must have lost a match due to interference from Kerry Morton. Tensions are high. This was well done.

1 acceptable match, one pretty decent match, and one waste of time. All of the vignettes were very well done.

next morning edit: further thoughts. 200 episodes is nothing to sneeze at, but outside of the YouTube graphic and description, there was really nothing past that. Reading the YT comments is all people praising that they made it to 200, and asking to bring the show back to YT. So it's kind of alarming that (1) people's reactions are glad to have the show available on said platform again, but (2) nobody is commenting on the show itself. And that's because it was just kind of a bog standard show. Nothing was fantastic, nothing stood out as "must see", nothing was special about this to celebrate the 200 episode milestone. And also (3) that there's no follow-up. Was this a one-off? Is NWA coming back to YT fulltime now? i don't even remember a teaser for any matches on next week's episode. I also don't know where to watch it. Is the Twitter deal over? continuing? back to the CW App?

If you're a fan of cinematic matches, Thom Latimer and Aron Stevens had quite the doozy on this week's Powerrr. Probably best enjoyed under the influence of narcotics.
