EdA
Yeah, Rippa and I have been digging the hell out of this far too much and then we realized, Barry Houston is now only second to Chono as the best Watts tag team partner.

Not the only time Houston went toe to toe with Funk and Buck http://youtu.be/r7BdBE19n3U Probably the only time having Erik Watts as a tag team partner can be seen as an upgrade. That said, Terry Funk piledriving Erik Watts repeatedly on the concrete floor would have been far more entertaining.
Jingus
Whoopsy, meant to comment on this sooner. I haven't seen Barry in years, but I did tell him once about the glowing DVDVR tributes to those matches. He was flattered, but he seemed more puzzled that anyone remembered them more than anything. And oh yeah, if you ever meet him in real life? Don't make him mad. He's one of those Tracy Smothers types who has a short temper and the natural tendon strength of a grizzly bear. I doubt anyone but maybe Finlay from those matches would have much of a shot against him in a shoot. Someone needs to go through the Music City Wrestling tapes to find his best stuff there. I've probably got some of his local Nashville stuff on old VHS tapes somewhere. Problem is, I've got no way to transfer those into a digital format. (It's a shame, too, otherwise you could all laugh your asses off at James Storm giving me THE lamest superkick in wrestling history... I think he was afraid he'd break my frigging jaw if he did it right, honestly.)
