  2. Solid final build for Genesis. Leon Slater shined in Trent Seven's farewell. Jake Something looked great in a dominant win over Laredo Kid. Looking forward to another pretty good looking card for Genesis
  3. it's mostly "IN ACTION" night on Honor this week with half the matches advertised that way, a short episode at just under an hour 20. Shibata, Komander, & the Outrunners was an interesting 8 man team against the locals. Red Velvet over Angelica Risk was fun, bringing up them having history. main event of Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty, Lee Johnson, & EJ Nduka defeating the random team of Boulder, Serpentico, & Dark Order. LeeJ fit in well with STP. Next week is the 100th episode on Honor Club, so the throwback match of the week was the 1st match on HonorClub of Mark Briscoe vs. Slim J. Komander defending the TV title against QT headlines ROH 100.
  4. sad 2 weeks in a row with no intro after the initial Pointer Sisters excitement. Omega/Cage was a pretty fun opener. Thought Christian/Hook was solid, exciting to see Samoa Joe's return. Jarrett/MJF segment felt a little extra long, but I'm liking the feud overall. Women's Casino was fun while it lasted, but wanted it to go longer and include more participants even though the outcome was a given. Kind of disappointed that Grand Slam Australia is just Collision and not a PPV. Was hoping for a early morning Live in Australia watch like Elim Chamber last year.
  5. Very fun quick tag opener with the Dojo Defenders vs Environmentalists. Love the double sunset finish. Magnificent Miranda Mirage vs Pep Riley was short but both looked good. Really great build to the main event battle royal for the title. Showing the 2000 footage again and I loved some of the participants getting a few seconds of promo montage leading up to it. Truly felt up in the air as far as almost anyone of them could win it. Rooting for the unlikely Genesis win but I think I settle on Tormenta as my pick. Glad to see Animal Instinct vs. Big Rig & Jessie continuing, hilarious backstage segment there. Main event is very exciting, lots of fun eliminations throughout. Thought Paola would go further, figured Haley & Penelope would cancel each other out. In the end, I thought no way but popped big for the Classmaster! Great moment and well deserved after a string of impressive performances. Loved the unpredictability here.
  6. EVENT #1 POINT TOTAL: 0 UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ 107: Dern vs. Ribas II (01/11/2025) - Las Vegas, NV (UFC Apex) Mackenzie Dern vs. Amanda Ribas - Ribas, DEC Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Carlston Harris - Harris, DEC Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. César Almeida - Almeida, DEC Chris Curtis vs. Roman Kopylov - Kopylov, DEC Austin Bashi vs. Christian Rodriguez - Bashi, SUB, R1 Punahele Soriano vs. Uroš Medić - Medić, TKO, R2 Jose Johnson vs. Felipe Bunes - Johnson, SUB, R2 Marco Tulio vs. Ihor Potieria - Tulio, TKO, R1 Thiago Moisés vs. Trey Ogden - Moisés, DEC Preston Parsons vs. Jacobe Smith - Smith, DEC Ernesta Kareckaitė vs. Nicolle Caliari - Kareckaite, DEC Magomed Gadzhiyasulov vs. Bruno Lopes - Gadzhiyasulov, DEC Victoria Dudakova vs. Fatima Kline - Kline, DEC Joe Solecki vs. Nurullo Aliev - Aliev, DEC
  7. Still holding out hope!
  8. Seems weird that Malakai went out of his way to say he wasn't going anywhere after the Adam Cole match, then three matches later, everywhere is saying he is definitely leaving all in the same month, but he did say it happens after every match of his. If he is done, it seemed like the ending of the Cole match was a better one to go out on than just some random tags.
  9. Marshall at least had some sort of injury after their last match in September. He was at an indy show in October with his arm in a sling.
  10. Solid show mostly setting up Genesis. Opening trios tag was surprisingly short but enjoyable. Popped for the Raven appearance, giving Rosemary the Clockwork Orange House of Fun match. Moose absolutely killed Andrew Everett with a chokeslam on the apron and powerbomb on the apron before the actual finish, hell of a squash. Fun main event tag. Will miss Rhino in TNA as he posted this was likely his final match 'ever' in the company. Hendry seems like next champ, but still wondering the next JBL involvement like last time.
  11. Missing the Renegades now. Charlette was out for most of 2024 with injury, but Robyn's singles run throughout the year was one of my fav AEW/ROH things, even though she lost most of the time. Now it's been a couple months since she's been on any of the shows.
  12. Trish Adora vs Harley Cameron makes a fun opener this week. Blake Christian over Serpentico was solid. Boulder vs Griff Garrison was random, but good to see Cole Karter back managing Griff, his first appearance since breaking his arm last summer. They showed clips of Athena in Japan but no mention of Momo or Athena getting pinned, only that Athena will defend against Thekla in Stardom next week. I had hoped they'd use WrestleDynasty to set up Athena/Momo too. Queen Aminata over Rachael Ellering was short, but great while it lasted. Throwback match of the week is Sumie Sakai vs Hazuki from July 2018 in honor of Sumie's retirement this weekend. Some quick squashes from Billie, mXm, and Red Velvet. Shane Taylor Promotions vs. Gates of Agony made for a real solid main event match. Love the closing segment of the Rock N Roll Express taking out Jericho & Bryan Keith. Need a match to come out of this. Afterwards they premiere the recent AEW Stories on Nigel McGuinness "The Road Less Traveled", a nice little 15 min documentary covering the lead up to the recent Nigel/Bryan match.
  13. Thought the Casino Gauntlet was fun as usual, lots of good star names in there. The Swerve fakeout by Ricochet was classic. Finish felt out of nowhere but I dug that and it felt like a nice big time win for Hobbs. Always glad to see Archer get any time to shine a bit. Looking forward to the women's casino next. Highly enjoyed the Jarrett/MJF segment and had me interested in a match between them. Part of me wants to see Jarrett get his shot at ALL In Texas even if unlikely. Omega came off great and I dig the Omega/Ospreay uneasy alliance potential. New theme is cool but will still take some getting used to, especially replacing Battle Cry.
  14. Catching up on various things. I haven't cared much for SD in years, but thought the move to 3 hours had things feeling more important than it has in awhile and kinda wish that change would stick. As a Nia fan, I didn't love the cash in but thought it was laid out and executed pretty well. RAW was ok for a 4 match show over 3 hours. Next week's got 4 advertised as well. Most covered my thoughts throughout. Sad to see Liv's reign come to an end and the random dropping of the advertised Last Woman Standing stipulation. I did feel like the show flowed well and pretty much flew by. Overall hit the goal of establishing that we are in the Net FLIX ERA! Had been looking forward to Giulia/Roxanne tonight as a big fan of both. Thought initially after Giulia lost their last match that they'd pivot to Vaquer as the one to beat Roxanne, but after Iron Survivor it felt like Giulia was definitely the one. Though the finish here was a little abrupt and felt it could've gone a little longer but good stuff overall and happy for Giulia to have that moment. Giulia & Vaquer have both been great fresh injections in to NXT. Didn't expect the NXT title change in the main event, feels sudden how quick Oba went from losing to Tony D for the North American title to winning here. Rock's promo felt like a continuation of his random Raw stuff. His "always thinking 20 steps ahead" line had me hoping maybe there's still more to the whole Rock/Cody/Roman stuff. Same here and was just assuming everyone was having those fade out where there would normally be ad breaks just to immediately come right back, but then see lots of talk about commercials. I just got Netflix last summer and I think I signed up for whatever the ad free tier was.
  15. The previous week didn't record for me or didn't air, so I'm catching up from the youtube clips. I love that they are going forward with with the 3 way tag titles match set up 2 weeks before. Fury/Aussie was a solid opener. Chella/Glitter ruled, nice out of nowhere finish. Chainsaw/Holidead was pretty good and Tormenta/Classmaster was enjoyable quick main event, almost thought Classmaster would pull off the upset. = Onto this past week's episode. I love the addition of Paola Mayfield after thinking she was out of wrestling the past couple years and a nice way to keep Abilene in the mix in a manager role. Ashley Blaze always looks good. Killer finish from Paola. Brat Pack vs Tiki & Brittany Bay was pretty good, a nice win for the Brat Pack. Mighty Mights vs. Top Tier was good stuff, thought the mighty Mights looked awesome here. Triple threat tag title main event was fun, all action. With Miami Sweet Heat taking the fall, I would dig Animal Instinct still in the chase and possibly being the next champs. Next week is the battle royal to crown the new WOW Champ
  16. Unforgiven 98 with Sawyer Brown, performing "Some Girls Do", always loved that one
  17. I loved the new Dynamite theme, very unexpected but a fun something different. I had heard the song at the store earlier and thought it made a nice coincidence. Equally excited that the original Elton John theme will return for Collision! Also loved the new intro video including the old clips of Shaq, Snoop Dogg, and Mike Tyson appearances. And of course BIG Boom AJ being featured. Orange/Hangman was a good opener and I liked Julia/Jamie, glad to hear Julia's theme again. Enjoyed the Mercedes' highlight package. I guess since MAX is doing full ad breaks, Excalibur can't shout "...in picture IN picture!" anymore, so now the action just continues "live on dynamite" Solid triple threat and then Ricochet bringing the violence was a huge highlight. Quite the turn from the Ricochet that debuted and his most interesting development in many years. Psychotic Ricochet in a blood feud is a welcome change. Always love all things Jarrett, so I'm down for him going on a run and whatever comes of it. I hope he has a big match at ALL IN Texas since he'd been leading a lot of the promotion for it thus far. Not knowing the name change was coming until Justin Roberts just announces "COOOOOOOPE" was amusing. Really fun chaotic trios tag main event. Would almost feel like rushing Cope/Mox, but I'd be down with it happening in 2 weeks at the MAXimum Carnage show, if Cope is in the Casino Gauntlet next week that is. Thought it was a very good show overall, fitting of a new era vibe they were looking for and I liked the somewhat brighter look of things on this one.
  18. Pretty good Impact to start 2025 with mostly Genesis build and only a few matches. Ace/Kushida was great stuff. Ryan Nemeth going heel as the crowd boo him but cheer Nic was amusing. Hardys vs Rascalz set for Genesis should be good. Main event was a lot of fun with nice post-match chaos as they built up to Tessa showing up throughout the night.
  19. First Honor of 2025! Glad we get another HANAKO match in. Good opener from her and Red Velvet for the Women's TV title, and a later setup for a future Red/Hirsch rematch. Great to also get another Homicide match, solid tag from him & Rocky against Andretti & Lio ahead of Andretti & Lio challenging for the AEW tag titles on Collision. Nice quick win from Harley Cameron over Ashley Vox. Shane Taylor Promotions vs. Dark Order & Iron Savages felt like a random mixture, but solid. Throwback match of the week is Athena/Willow from Death before Dishonor 2023 Pretty good main event as QT Marshall goes the proving grounds limit with Komander to earn a TV title shot.
  20. True. AJ Francis has since announced he has re-signed with TNA for another year.
  21. Pretty good show with most everything going as expected. Going in I was thinking Ospreay would win the C2 but I liked how it all played out. Okada's win felt properly big time and I love the Okada/Omega showdown tease. Initially thought a Mercedes/Statlander rematch felt unnecessary but they ended up with another showstealer. Loving Mercedes' run. Mariah/Thunder was a fun brawl, nice finish. Enjoyed the Rated FTR ending.
