  1. I saw a few Jeremy Wyatt signs on Raw. I like Jeremy Wyatt. Really good wrestler.
  2. I guess I'll be the one to note that, as it relates to Cesaro, Ziggler < Darren Young.
  3. Superstars is usually good but not "go out of my way to see it" good...but I really liked Cesaro-Ziggler, yup.
  4. Regal is a highlight of the show on commentary(and in the ring): -Refers to Amore as "DDP's lovechild". -Regularly bugs Tony Dawson for not knowing basic holds("If you need me to explain that to you, you shouldn't be sitting here"). -Had a great line a week or two ago about putting Big E and Heyman's haircuts together to get one full head of hair.
  5. Rollins has been finishing with a flying knee strike off the top rope in his WWE wins.
  6. F you to my house's air conditioning that decided to crap out on the hottest week of the year so far. It only blows room-temperate air right now...had to open a ton of windows and crank all the fans up to full blast. Worried about my dogs until I can figure out the problem.
  7. Out of the guys in that four-way match, I was digging Todd Hanson the most. Good power game.
  8. Sounds similar to what they've been doing with Bo Dallas in NXT.
  9. Larry Matysik is involved with the creative process of the SICW group and they're one of the more organized groups in the area these days. It helps that there's only the one main belt and things are centered around that...some promotions have WAY too many titles.
  10. Thanks for the feedback. It's a monumental task to motivate myself in any regard these days...that just adds to the self-hatred because I know I should be doing housework/yardwork, looking for a better/second job, etc. It doesn't help that I feel like NOTHING is within my control these days. I spent a year and a half whittling down my credit card debt, not even touching the card for any reason, but then I had to use credit cards for home/car repairs so that was another setback. Natural: I can definitely sympathize. My mom had lung cancer and it seemed like things would be okay, but she took a bad turn literally overnight...the next thing I knew, she was gone. That was several years ago and I still don't think I've mentally recovered.
  11. I don't know if the phrase "set in his ways" is appropriate but it seems about right. Triple H has his view of ideal wrestling(just like a lot of people) and probably has trouble stomaching any style that doesn't fit. I live in the St. Louis area and a ton of fans around here still swear by Wrestling At The Chase, so that style seems to inspire a high level of dedication.
  12. No need for one. My new best friend FSW had my back. Still thinking you're way better than you actually are...just like your wrestling days.
  13. Fuck you, everything about me. Seems like I'm just a pile of regrets these days. I started out as a computer science major in college, but I had one rough semester where I overdid my course load so I switched to mass communications with an eye on radio broadcasting. Went to broadcasting school and then worked at a smaller radio station in my area for several years with near-zero upward mobility. That job stint ended unceremoniously a few years ago and I wish I'd stuck it out with the computer thing as I don't seem to have much in the way of qualifications for any decent job. My mom passed away from lung cancer several years ago...I inherited the house and had to learn to live on my own pretty quickly in my late 20s. For a while, my financial situation was never great but never THAT bad either. I had a roommate for a little while, but she bailed on me without paying her last few months of rent and I had to use my credit card for some really big bills as a result. That turned into a slippery slope and I practically maxed out the card by the end of it...been paying for that over the past few years and had to sell off a ton of old keepsakes just to keep my car insured. My mental stability was never great...went on antidepressants a short time after my mom's death but had to go off them when my finances got bad and I was between health insurances. It's been an emotional roller coaster for a while now. Had always liked standup comedy and tried open-mics for a little while, but the scene got so crowded that I had trouble getting show spots and gradually stopped doing it. I made some friends through that, but when your funds are limited you can't drive to shows as much as you'd like. At the end of the day, I'm sitting here in this never-ending cycle of self-hatred with no idea how to get out of it. Will probably go back on meds once my money situation is a bit more balanced out, but I have no idea what to do with my life in my mid-30s. I imagine I'll go back to school for something or other, but my previous bright ideas about what to do with my life didn't really go so well. I have near-zero confidence in my own judgement, intelligence, or anything else. I got myself into this mess and I don't want to blame anyone else for it. I just have no idea how to get out of it. Sorry for the self-indulgent venting.
  14. That'll probably do it. *insert snide comment by BigFresh in here somewhere*
  15. I can't, in good conscience, give it any more than **3/4.
  16. Not bad, but it just doesn't have that "it factor" or "intangible" that makes me want to read it.
  17. Bryan and Punk would make great headliners for Half Pint Brawlers.
  18. Let it play out and see where it goes. It's been 10 years. It's pretty much gone. It'd totally be different this time, just watch.
  19. If I didn't hate wrestling before, I think I do now.
  20. Re: Ziggler: Um...he was World Champion(briefly) and he beat John Cena that one time. That's all I've got.
  21. Other things aside, it felt like they ran out of stuff to do when they hit hour three...there was a lot of filler until they got to the closing segment. Nice to see some people get real TV time that don't normally get it, but still odd. Mixed blessing of three-hour Raws.
  22. Exactly. You guys are putting me on Triple H's side. You aren't?
