  1. I'm surprised the Twitch stream Mansoor/Brennan Williams run hasn't been shut down yet by someone in the PC. I haven't heard anything good about it. Mansoor's been ant-Semitic and creepy, Rhea Ripley dropped a homophobic slur, they've had strange bets where the loser asks another wrestler for foot pics. Hardly anyone looks good being associated with it
  2. Cocaine, helluva drug. I'm only half-kidding when I say Shane's family wants him to croak in the ring. Probably got a sweet insurance policy on him that doubles if he dies accidently.
  3. Blame Balor's shoulder meeting Seth Rollins for that. He was pushed straight to the top on his debut. Won the Universal title in his first month, but had to vacate due to his injury. And by the time he returned, Braun Strowman had got hot. They've tried a bit here and there with Finn, but his shoulder ripping to shreds will go down as one of the worst-timed injuries in wrestling history. He was going to keep the Universal title at least through 2017 Royal Rumble and probably into WM 33.
  4. The Asuka situation is disappointing because they had two good avenues in which to make her a big main roster star. If her not being a good English promo was a problem, keep her in a tag team with Naomi. They worked well together, even incorporating parts of each other's colors into their wardrobe and having a joint finishing move. The two are good friends backstage. A "Glow of Tomorrow" team would have laid waste to everyone and been a great foil for the IIconics. And if they want to keep Fire & Desire together, they could play off the Naomi/Mandy feud for another rivalry. That they ignored how Asuka tapped out Becky clean at Royal Rumble irritated me. Asuka isn't a meek person. No way would she watch Becky brag about winning the Royal Rumble and not remind The Man how she nearly snapped Becky's neck. Even they insisted putting both belts on Becky, Asuka can say Becky never beat her and rub that salt into the wound. Sadly, once they sacrificed the entire SDL women's division for the WM triple threat, any chance Asuka had evaporated.
  5. There are several current stars who will be in the WWE HOF. A couple of them have a chance at being two-time inductees. I don't know enough about Meltzer's criteria when it comes to his HOF. If you're talking about who among this crop who can break into the mainstream and become something more than a wrestling star, there are a couple of people who qualify,
  6. Cedric Alexander and his wife Ariel Monroe reverse cosplayed as Harley Quinn and The Joker when she was in last year's Mae Young Classic.
  7. No apologies needed. Sometimes, people just don't get along.
  8. We've never gotten along and have an unspoken agreement to pretty much avoid each other. Who we cheer for has nothing to do with it.
  9. Not that you'll see this. But it's amazing that I talked about several things--race, gender, age, sexual orientation, inclusion for all to promote true diversity within the wrestling fanbase--yet you're hung up only on what you see as anti-white rhetoric. It says way more about you and your bias than it ever could about me on a number of levels.
  10. I'm not saying everyone here has me on their most hated list. I don't think that. But being called anti-white and having that group practically cheer about it, labeled a sheeple, never having my grievances considered when everyone else gets to say almost whatever they want--it wears on a person in time.
  11. I think Shane vs Roman is the beginning of a possible Samoan Dynasty stable.
  12. Listening to Kofi and Seth on their promos, the differences are stark. Kofi is fearless and determined to be his best. He feels strong and his booking reflects that. Seth seems whiny and paranoid. It doesn't help that Brock no-sold Seth's "This is my life" bit and walked off. Rollins has had a sincerity issue since his face turn.
  13. Just to add a few thoughts: I mostly watch WWE. I occasionally watch NJPW. I kept up with TNA/Impact in 2016 because of Broken Matt Hardy. I still follow their women's division and Killer Kross. I've peaked in on Joshi and MLW. I tried CMLL for a bit, but didn't get into it. Maybe I'll try again. I never watched WCW or ECW. I keep saying that I'm going to YT a bunch of older stuff, but haven't yet. Maybe one day. I'm not liked around here. Not with as much as I get crapped on by certain people and their friends. My being a fan is a bit weird, I think. I have a lot of gaps in what I know and would enjoy learning more from other fans. But I'm not friends with anyone away from the board. Frankly, several of you are mean and overly aggressive. Which wouldn't be so bad if the majority didn't seem to go along with the bad treatment. I don't post here as much as I did. I come back because I've been here for a while. Old habits, blah blah blah. But for a group that claims community, that's not true. It's no fun to give opinions and have those opinions mocked because some of you absolutely have called me a dumb-fuck sheep for not hating WWE. I'm not looking for sympathy. I have free will, I know when to sign out and not deal with the drama. But if you ever wonder why someone in a position like mine doesn't talk as much, there's often a good reason.
  14. The final blow for Dolph came in 2015 with that horrible Lana/Rusev/Summer Rae/Dolph love quad of doom angle. Everyone came out looking worse, though Summer earned points for actually trying to make it work. Everyone knew Lana/Rusev were a real-life couple, then Lana doubled down by running to TMZ to announce their engagement. Dolph, supposedly the face, looked like a scummy man whore. Rusev and Summer Rae were weirdos with Summer cosplaying Lana. And Lana was just an all-around dumb floozy, based on booking. All four people looked like sluts, that's an accomplishment that actual soap operas can't pull off. I think Dolph pretty much gave up after that, but man. Just leave. He's single with no kids, there's no indication that he's a big spender. He's probably got a good nest egg. Leave WWE, hit the indie circuit for a couple of years, maybe do a online TV show to see if he can get his comedy career off the ground. He's literally the guy with a top executive job who whines when he doesn't win a worthless Executive of the Year award. He's got a corner office, private parking, and company credit card with a golden parachute waiting for him. Either take the Orton route and enjoy coasting or hit the road.
  15. If a non-human needs to win, Mercy the Buzzard is right there. Then make anyone who wants to become the 24/7 Champ go into the Firefly Funhouse.
  16. I like the 24/7 idea. It's not like No Way Jose will ever contend for another championship. This a way to give mid-card folks some TV time and their names in the WWE record books. It's all in fun. A lot of it will be done over social media, which guys like Drake Maverick and R-Truth excel at. Imagine R-Truth has the belt again sometime only for his riding buddy Roman Reigns to pin him on the side of the highway for it. Braun Strowman is built for something like this, then have his buddy Drake take it off him. Someone is totally going to win it on UUDD. The belt is hilariously ugly and the name is sort of goofy. But it utilizes people whose creativity otherwise doesn't get used. We can debate the cause of the non-use, but this being a by-product of it isn't a bad thing.
  17. To further this point, former referee Jimmy Korderas said that the one time a rope break absolutely doesn't matter at all is in a Falls Count Anywhere match. In a cage match, it negates the pin attempt. It's one of those things WWE has played too loose with over the years and no one can keep track of the actual rule.
  18. Pretty sure Lars got cut on Kalisto's mask rather than Kalisto actually getting blood through a cheap shot.
  19. To be fair: If I knew the 3-4 biggest stars for SDL likely weren't going to be at the show because they've been assigned to RAW for the night, I'm not buying tickets to see midcard 6-man tag matches. Which creates the issue of haves vs have-nots. By cancelling shows due to the Wildcard rule, they're telling 97% of the SDL roster they're not important. Not Roman? Not Kofi? Not Charlotte? Not Bryan? Stay at your hotel or sit in RAW's catering hall, folks. Because they have value and you? Not so much. This would be the time to throw something against the wall for the 'minor' stars and see if anything sticks. Maybe someone gets hot and you have another big name to add into the mix.
  20. Nothing confirmed, but the tone of some tweets from other wrestlers seem to suggest that.
  21. RIP to Ashley Massaro. Only 39. Way too young to be in the past tense. ?
  22. I don't see it happening, but Carmella being the one that has Becky's number all the time would be great.
  23. I can't lie, I was a bit disappointed we didn't get Pumpkin King Finn vs Sister Braygail. I wanted to see how bonkers they would get with the whole thing.
