I haven't so much as seen a vampire in ages, and I did as much as possible before triggering the dragons, yet I still have a bunch of inheritance letters from random NPCs stuck in a drawer somewhere. Dunno what's killing these guys off. Should probably check to see if I've lost any housecarls. Actually, since I haven't done anything for Dawnguard yet, and I've never played either DLC before, does kicking that thing off start random vampire attacks on NPCs?

The missions getting more linear seems like it's got progressively worse with each game, starting with San Andreas. For GTA3 and Vice City, you were really limited only by the gear/vehicles/etc you had available. SA car chases were the first missions that stuck out to me this way, where I realized I couldn't really do anything to whoever I was chasing until a trigger event had happened. Real linearity was almost unavoidable for V, with the three character setup. I kinda share Neil's pessimism. The last single player GTA I got into was SA. I HATED IV, and it took me two or three years to finish V. Online at least still allows the opportunity for creative, or ridiculous, solutions. (We're gonna do this mission standing on the roof of ambulance. Then we'll do a heist setup in a Winnebago.) -
Or hand a five year old kid a pair of electric clippers and tell him to go to town. That was my first haircut during Covid. Honestly, I've had worse.

Assuming GTA6 and GTA Online are paired like Online was with GTA5, I don’t think we’ll see anything that’s not present day. Gotta make that sweet, sweet Shark Card money somehow, and I don’t see 12 year olds spending $25 in real money for a ‘71 Nova. They’d riot without their shiny super cars and weaponized vehicles. they’d better give me Vice City, though. Hopefully with a random encounter or two with old, washed up survivors from the 80s. -
Does this mean we can sue to get the Yellowstone scene added back to Major League?

Might be the first time I've dripped my pipes on a day that started in the 80s. And now my deck is covered in ice. Of course my son thinks he's gonna wake up to last February's snow tomorrow. Trying to explain to him that his grandparents were kids the previous time we saw that much snow.

Got a call about an hour ago that my son was probably exposed to Covid Friday. The fact that I'm relieved that's what the call was about, instead of something worse, tells you how my week is going so far.

Are missions even worth grinding for money at this point? I haven't done one in years, but if they haven't raised the payouts there are quicker ways. If you have the sub or auto shop, and don't mind grinding, you can make serious money quickly from Cayo Perico or the contracts. The agency stuff pays well too after you get into that. Game's only been out eight and a half years. Give em time. They'll get it right, I'm sure -

I forgot what year this is. So it was actually six years ago. And y'all had left for Uranus at least a year before that thing even came out. I've been playing this dumb game a long, long time. Were you ever around to play the mission where you have to break into the military base to take out a witness for Madrazo after we found the real way to do that? step 1, steal an ambulance step 2, put everybody but the driver on the roof of said ambulance step 3, jump into Zancudo step 4, everybody shoot rocket launchers step 5, profit -

Y'all be quiet. Everybody make sure not to tell JT they put that out five years ago. Heck, I think Stout still has a whole garage of em somewhere from the good old days of car duping. -
Worse. Stetson the Fourth.

There's always Saban.

Zach Calzada to Auburn. That’s an interesting one, assuming he actually sees any playing time.
-
Yeah, pretty grossed out by that hire, if it goes through.

A&M has to be up there too. I count ten QB transfers out and three in over the last decade. That’s having a four year starter during that period. The list includes one transfer each way with OU. Lost Kyler Murray, got Trevor Knight. Oops.

Guess the whole south was in the same boat. We had 85 and humid as hell Saturday afternoon. Sweated clean through a pair of leather gloves working in the yard. Then Saturday night we got a freeze hard enough to kill some plants we left out.

And that doesn’t even count my Aggies jobbing to omicron

I really do enjoy the way Los Santos feels when it’s snowing. -
Apparently Bost is one of the covid cases. So the next QB option was an injured WR running the option. Ags probably didn't try too hard to make this game happen after Bost came up positive.
-
Weird. I played it heavily from launch, and didn't really have any complaints that I can remember. Only thing I remember really hating was Maurice's stupid flying skulls, and they added an option to get rid of those. I'm kinda curious how much it's changed since I haven't really touched it this year.
-
Sadly the Blake Bost as QB1 era ends for the Texas Aggies. I'd like to say I'm surprised that the Ags are the first team to have this happen, but I'm trying to teach my six year old the value of honesty. So yeah, I'm not even remotely surprised.

I’ve been struggling to get a booster this week. Earliest I could find is next Monday. Tried talking my wife into this but no go.

He's just very, very delusional. He's not a dumb man either - has two physics degrees. But he's better at sticking his head in the sand than anybody I've ever met. He was the same way when she was going through chemo, and they treat her diabetes the same as well. She had the stroke as they were sitting down to lunch. I beat the ambulance over, primarily because I had to tell him to call the damn thing. Lunch was fried chicken and french fries, nothing else. Healthy meal for a diabetic. He'll be lost without her, if she goes first. My mother in law gave me an inventory of every gun in the house and orders to physically remove them myself if things get critical, so he doesn't do something to himself.
-
My wife is having this same fight for hours a day, every day. Mother in law had a stroke two weeks ago. She's doing fairly well physically, but is about half coherent. Meanwhile my father in law has got his head all the way up his ass pretending things are back to normal (normal for them is sitting in their chairs for 12 hours a day watching Fox News, interrupted only by high fat/high salt meals). He's complaining constantly that my wife is pushing too much for things like physical therapy, speech therapy, etc, which is exactly what the doctors said she needed to be doing. Today they decided the would not do therapy because they had to laundry. Instead of understanding what meds she needed to start as soon as she got home, he said the paperwork was too much, and he'd get to it after the new year. They've also added a different type of denial. Said the usual family Christmas (we all live in the same city) was too much this year, and they'd wait till next year to attend. My wife and I pointed out the time they said they 45 minute drive to my uncle's for Thanksgiving was too much work, and that they'd see him next year. Told em at the time there wouldn't be a next year, and unfortunately we were right. Still not sure they got the point.

Texas QB Casey Thompson to the portal. No shock there.
