  1. Smackdown was fucking fun. There was some bullshit but overall it was super fun.
  2. That goes to show how good Juice and Jay are. They worked around the worst ref who doesn't do anything and tried to make sense out of it.
  3. I watched the Flash movie on HBO MAX the other day. As much as it sucked...it was also fun for a Saturday afternoon.
  4. My dark comedy gene just activated. Thanks, man. It's nothing I'll share here but you just gave me a gift to file away.
  5. Yeah, over the last year and a half we went to a RAW and a house show in Denver, and the house show was way better. They do a full production just like a TV taping, but without backstage segments or commercial breaks.
  6. I was thinking about that as well. I was thinking earlier how much I kinda liked those " Hey, your co worker and maybe friend died yesterday" shows. And it bothered me for a minute , but it's off my guilt pile, so I'm feeling good. Some of those one cam confessionals were moving but most of it was uncomfortable. Some of it was hilarious, like the 9/11 shit with not just Stephanie. She gets a lot of shit, but almost all of those reaction to tragedy spots are awful. Regal being all shifty eyed because he's no dummy during the Benoit one is also fucking hilarious, at least to me. It was the exact moment I knew my Carbon Dioxide idea was out the window. People shouldn't be asked to do that during a time of shock and mourning. You give that job to Cole, Graves, LA Knight, and Cody Rhodes.
  7. I'm not anyone to tell anyone else how to feel, but I really loved that show. Normally the whole " The show must go on" bullshit is awful but for whatever reason it felt right to me this time. And I have a lot of reasons. The tribute videos were great. Sure, the Terry one definitely had a lot of stuff from his HOF video but Cody was fantastic. The show really touched me and I cried a bunch. My favorite two wresting things were LA Knight giving an amazing tribute to Bray Wyatt while keeping Kayfabe and the Terry Funk Hardcore Match being a Texas Tornado match where they worked fucking stiff with no weapons until it ended with one table spot. Dollars to Doughnuts Heyman helped book that.
  8. After an amazing season of SNW, I'm waiting with bated breath for the next season of Lower Decks that's about to start. Meanwhile, I just put on the H&I network on antenna TV. It's one of the score of rerun channels on free tv, and they do a Star Trek block every night. TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise every night are right there for me. I just tuned in for an Enterprise S3 Ep I never saw since I gave up on the show around halfway through S3 and this one is pretty fucking good, despite the whole Xindi 9/11 storyline that's kinda fucking awful. And it's HILARIOUS that they thought that making the terrible theme song more of an acoustic take was how to fix the problems with the show and the song. I've heard that S4 actually gets on track, but it was too late. And the only thing anyone remembers is the awful last episode that I did watch.
  9. I'm 53 and I just realized that Juice Robinson is doing Mike Boyette's gimmick and it's why Juice rules.
  10. That main event was fantastic until the finish. Not the finish itself, the way it came off on TV. It looked like shit. Who cares, Collision is consistently the best AEW show on TV. It's like getting a Clash every Saturday.
  11. That Hobbes/ Miro bit stunk , and neither of them were responsible.
  12. I don't want to say anything yet about the season finale because I know I'll spoil it for someone somehow, but Holy Shit. It was awesome. And let's hope the AMPTP gets their heads outta their asses sooner rather than later. If you thought it was a long time between Best of Both Worlds parts one and two, get ready.
  13. King of the Hill is one of my favorite shows to this day. It's the only show I currently watch on live TV with ads. There's two big blocks of KOTH that air daily and I usually catch a couple of episodes every day. I just watched the one where Bobby might be a Lama, and it's so funny and so sweet. RIP Johnny Hardwick.
  14. I just started watching this and turned it off halfway through this contrived " everyone quits one at a time and tells Jericho why as Jericho is standing in the middle of the ring as it goes back and forth forever. " bullshit. The fucking angle is that he's a glory hog washed up asshole who needs a lot of on screen time who will do anything to remain relevant and the TV is unbearable because of the same reason.
  15. FYR vs. Cage and Bill was good before it became infuriating. All the rules of a tag match got tossed out , Edwards stood around doing poses instead of making five counts, ....I had to fast forward through it. And that sucks because if they had at least tried to make sense within the rules of this shit? It would have been a really good match.
  16. " My Adventures With Superman" is a delight. And seems to be another part of Jack Quaid's plan to be the King of Nerd Culture, and I'm all in.
  17. I just put on ME TV for something to fall asleep to. It's a Quincy and that's new to me on the channel. It's also now going to be regular viewing. " He shtumled on the show by accident! It's a clear case of edibles, Sam."
  18. I love that the Gorns were just teased in the first episode and we haven't heard about them yet. I'd guess the finale will bring them up. I want the next one to bring them up. It's a musical . A few things rhyme with " gorn"
  19. I haven't seen the finale of Gemstones yet, but there's a scene in the 8th episode that's genuinely wonderful. I don't want to spoil it, and I can never do the spoiler tags in my phone. But if you saw it, you know what I'm talking about.
  20. Magnum TA vs. Tully Blanchard I Quit Steel Cage match from Starrcade 85 is everything wrestling should aspire to. It's my favorite match. Second is the first Lawler/ Dundee Loser Leaves Town match from their 80's trilogy.
  21. Max/ HBO/ Fuck Them just dropped the first three episodes of the new season of Harley Quinn. The first one is fucking great. I love this show.
  22. Everyone in the SNW Cast is fucking fantastic, and Jess Bush is at the top. She's amazing. Looking her up, she won a Model TV show in Australia and got a few acting gigs in Soaps. This is her first big role and she is killing. She's a special talent.
  23. I love how SNW can just tonally shift like old TV. Last episode was the Saturday Night Special crossover comedy with Lower Decks, ( Seriously, even if it takes you a couple of episodes...check out LD. It's wonderful) , and this one was HEAVY. That kind of tonal shift can be jarring, but even though SNW is episodic, the characters aren't. This was hinted at in the first episode and it paid off. It reminded me of DS9's, "In The Pale Moonlight ".
  24. First time was a glitch, this was planned. If I get it early again it's cause Q digs my podcasts and YouTube show. My previous Number One Trek episode is DS9's "Trials and Tribblations", and this ep is a spiritual successor to that one.
