  1. That table spot was fucking insane.
  2. Hardcore wrestling fans would only recognize Steve Austin? What the hell?
  3. I've got Arkham Knight, Tomb Raider, UFC2 and Fallout 4 sitting on my harddrive and I'm.... re-playing Mass Effect 2 for the 3rd time. Damn you, EA Access.
  4. A wrestler whose face/heel alignment is somewhere inbetween the two.
  5. Homeland's S6 premiere is OnDemand super early. It doesn't actually air until 1/15. I watched it, and.... I need to go watch the S5 finale, because I've got no idea what's going on. Besides them having a Donald Trump-like character.
  6. Here's a list of games I got today when I joined EA Access for $4.99: Star Wars Battlefront UFC 2 Mass Effect 2 Mass Effect 3
  7. Daaaaamn. Hey, I was right about Rousey/Nunes! Awesome. I hope Rousey isn't done, in all honesty. UFC would lose one of their biggest stars and no one in any of the women's divisions are even close to comparing to her star power. I think you can get a few more fights out of her, if she wants, before he star in MMA fades away (if she keeps losing). I'm really glad Cody won the belt tonight too. He doesn't strike me as the most loveable person ever (No Love and all), but I like him more as a person than I do Cruz. Maybe it's a gimmick, maybe it's really him, but he's so smug and cocky that it makes you want to see him lose. Watching those Cruz segments on Embedded was really hard for me - except for when he gave the food to the cameraman.
  8. I never participate in those, mainly because I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to MMA. But I agree with @DreamBroken. I think Rousey's flaws were shown in the Holm fight and any smart fighter would study the fuck out of that tape and utilize it. But, again, I might as well be talking about soccer or football because I don't know much about MMA. The weight cutting and scorecards and shit just confuse me.
  9. Isn't this point kind of moot since - and I'm just throwing this out as wild speculation - the talent that signed the contracts for this tournament and show on the Network presumably looked it over and were told how much they were making? Then, they being adults, make an adult decision and signed with WWE for "pennies"? Yeah, it's a low amount, but ultimately, they knew what they were getting themselves into and they signed on knowing the stipulations of their contract and their salary. It's not like WWE held them at gunpoint and told them to sign this piece of paper, or else. They're going to be featured on a streaming platform that reaches close to 2 million people. Connors/Kidd from 11/26 currently has just north of 17K views on YouTube. Yeah, I'm just sure Joseph Connors is kicking himself for this decision.
  10. Corbin showed a lot of personality when he was interviewed on (I think) the Revolver Music Awards black carpet. Once he learns how to make his promos sound more natural, he'll be golden.
  11. super excited to get the "physical component" for NIN's new EP, kind of curious as to what it'll be.
  12. Cena/AJ on Talking Smack felt like a cocky, brash Cena just blowing off everything AJ had to say. It didn't help that it seemed like AJ was stumbling through his promo, maybe because he just defended his title against two people, but I've never thought AJ was especially talented on the microphone either. Either way, I see this as setting up Cena/Undertaker at WrestleMania. Cena would be the defending champion, trying to be #2 to end the Streak, and Undertaker would put up his career. This would require Undertaker to win the Royal Rumble, or some kind of match to be the #1 contender at WrestleMania if a RAW guy wins, so I don't know how feasible that is. I know that's the general consensus 'round da webz but it feels like all the pieces are falling into place. Would it be weird for WWE to turn AJ face and have him be Bryan's proxy against The Miz in the lead-up to WrestleMania? I feel like that could work really well. /armchairbooker
  13. Using his career accomplishments and name value as a legitimate reason for deserving a title match when he's barely been there for the past few months is Hulk Hogan/Rock levels. I'm not denying that it's a good reason, but it's something I can only imagine a heel using and getting the right response. Ultimately, that's what makes John Cena who he is. He can walk that line like few people can. That line seemed like the beginning of something more, but to others it's just John Cena being his usual fiery babyface self. "You only beat me at SummerSlam because I had a shoulder injury" is definitely an excuse, though. I don't know any other way to take that statement from Cena on Talking Smack. It made AJ's victory seem inconsequential.
  14. John Cena saying he deserves a title shot "because I'm John Cena" isn't a face move in my book. Nor is "I was injured and that's why you beat me at SummerSlam", especially coming from the guy who claims to never make excuses for his losses.
  15. The "seen it too many times to care" thing is indicative of WWE's booking, it's not strictly the Owens/Reigns program. I wanted to enjoy the Sheamus/Cesaro series, and the Miz/Ziggler stuff, but like you said, I've see it too many times to care.
  16. Is part of that new TV deal more events on FOX/FS1, or is it just a better price tag for UFC?
  17. I forget where I read it, I think it might have been on Helwani's Twitter, but I specifically remember it saying the number of PPVs were going to be cut back in favor of more televised cards.
  18. Aren't they supposed to be cutting down the amount of PPVs they do in a single year and do more FS1 and FOX events? I read that wasn't going to start until late 2017/early 2018, but they're trying to get TV to be their biggest source of revenue or something. If that's the case, I wonder if they'd create more timeslots in that TV schedule that they want, to air PPVs. I still wouldn't mind PPVs airing on FOX 2-3 weeks after they're shown live, though. I missed out on this one because I was busy with family things.
  19. Knowing the McMahon's.... since 2014.
  20. A new MP3/USB radio and console piece for my Infiniti (got some much needed new sparkplugs too), iPhone 6S w/ screen protector, Xbox One with WWE 2K17 and Fallout 4, two long sleeve shirts, some socks, $10 Sonic & Walmart giftcards, and a $50 one for Hardee's (will be used for breakfast mainly, since I get off work at 6am every morning), and $30. Some of this list reads as if I'm in high school still, but in reality I'm just blessed with a ridiculously generous family.
  21. I bought Batman: Arkham Knight last night on Xbox Live, as it was only $16 for the Premimum Edition. I've only played the Batgirl DLC mission so far, since it's set before the events of the game. It's pretty fun, I've missed doing stealth missions with the Batman family of characters. The combo fighting system is really fluid too, much more than I remember the previous two games being. I got into the x45 range earlier tonight during one encounter that had 16 (!) Joker thugs. I just 100%'d that mission, I guess now I'm going to play the main story (unless any of the other missions are prequel types). Two of them specifically say it's set after the timeline in the game, so I'll avoid those until much later. I threw on the Harley Quinn content real quick just now before I ate (and I'm going to bed now), it seemed pretty fun. Her combat combos and moves are different enough from the regular group of people that it makes it fun. Psychosis mode is a good replacement for Detective mode.
