  1. To me, Youtube always seemed like a compromise of a necessary evil. The way that Google has been running Youtube over the last couple of years has really left a bad taste in people's mouths. But the advantage you have with Youtube is a (theoretically) large user base and the lack of a need to host your own content. I'm just going to assume that the cost of running your own site is less than whatever Youtube was taking off the top.
  2. I'll give Jordan credit for selling the leg on the apron for a little while. He was gingerly shaking it. But if he's gonna adrenaline dump the no-sell, it would be cool if he went back to selling when the "adrenaline" wore off.
  3. Um, why the hell are people complaining about Dash doing the Shatter Machine on the apron. Who cares if it hurt, Dawson got the pin. And I'm pretty sure when Jeff Hardy was jumping off 20 foot ladders, he hurt himself just as much as his opponent too.
  4. HANA is teaming with her mom at the 7/24 JWP show at Korakuen.
  5. My theory was that they were the ECW of joshi. They were still selling out but had run up some big debts. Nothing to back that up but running things like 80s AJW did without as premier a tv contract probably caught up to them. Maybe I'll try and find out when I'm there in September.
  6. He says something about Asuka not being very good. Forget the exact phrase. Also said that Yokota was just a trainer of the basics and then compares her to Fuuka.
  7. I don't know if anybody's watched the episodes of Rossy's World. But I'll give him credit for having an excellent memory and big balls. He sorta craps on Lioness Asuka and Jaguar Yokota. Then talks himself up, "My idea" seems to be a recurring line.
  8. Well, they just uploaded the legendary Omega vs Haruka match. I guess all those bouts against Yoshihiko served Omega well. The 5 Star GP is slated for August and September, coincidentally ending when I'm in Japan. It's got 6 gaijin and 6 natives so far with 2 more to be determined by the end of the month: Io Shirai Kairi Hojo Mayu Iwatani Yoko Bito Momo Watanabe Jungle Kyona Ivelisse Tessa Blanchard Toni Storm Kay Lee Ray Blue Nikita Courtney Stewart If you believe this poster, the last 2 will be Mimura and Wolf.
  9. OK everybody that signed up for Stardom World on Youtube, cancel your subscription. They've moved to a standalone website. I have no idea if the cancellation will happen automatically but better safe than sorry. The new site is at http://www.stardom-world.com/home/
  10. He pulled a schematic out of his trunks one match to try and figure out how to apply it. Put me in the camp that enjoys the Big Ending.
  11. I thought it was a really good show. Bliss surprised me in that her offense seemed crisp where she usually misses some moves. (Yeah, I know there were some flubs but she hit that backflip double knees move solid) Mojo is a guy that fights smaller than he is but against Ciampa/Gargano you could see just how big a guy he is. Speaking of big guys, damn those AoP are huge and props to Jordan for that swank suplex. And then sell on that humongous clothesline.
  12. I actually had a dream last night that EC3 was wrestling in NXT as Bony Carter. He had his bad curls back and was wearing some white Sabu style pants.
  13. If we're talking lost joshi matches, there was a great NEO match between Ran Yu-Yu and Misae Genki once upon a time. It had to be in 2001 and I'm pretty sure it was at Kitazawa Town Hall. The tape that I had it on is probably melted in the attic by now.
  14. On the Table for 3 episode with Barrett and Seamus, I think I remember him saying that some of his biggest inspirations in wrestling were actually actors. I could be way off in left field on that one.
  15. Already posted over there but whatever:
  16. That's the owner of the greatest wrestling gif of all time, Arisa Hoshiki.
  17. This has got to be the deepest rear naked choke of all time:
  18. Considering we're in the year 2016, this has to be pound for pound the worst finisher ever.
