  1. Speaking of Triple H and Goldberg, I recently watched the elimination chamber match from Summer Slam 2003. Ignoring the fact that Goldberg should have gone over, the match was really underwhelming. Is there a consensus as to what was the best elimination chamber match?
  2. It’s still the Sears Centre. Last I heard, it was super expensive to run the facility because part of the contract requires their own union subcontractors (lighting, security, etc) to work each event.
  3. “Sharks don’t have hands, Saxon.” I legit LOL’ed.
  4. Why exactly was Braun angry with Triple H? Was he that much of a team player that he became infuriated with Trips turning on Angle?
  5. That superplex from the top of the cage was insane. I’d hate to have been one of the six guys tasked to catch them. Good chance for an injury or at least getting busted open from catching a shot from an elbow, heel, or skull as Cole and Roddy fell.
  6. The only way to save Jordan would be a heel turn at Survivor Series, costing Team Raw the match. Somebody on Team Raw gets stretchered out, Jordan comes out to take their place, delivers a couple legdrops on Angle, and the crowd pelts the ring with garbage. Hey, it’s worked in the past.
  7. Excellent episode with a handful of legit laugh out loud moments. I didn’t get the Heidi = Trump Supporters metaphor until tonight.
  8. NJPW also announced a return show in Long Beach on 03-25-2018, which is the Sunday before Wrestlemania. It is going to be held at a bigger venue this time around. The timing makes sense and is also curious. A lot of their talent will be in the States for Supercard of Honor the following week, but it also hurts people who would most likely travel cross-country to see the show. I don’t know many wrestling fans who can afford excursions to both Los Angeles and New Orleans.
  9. Apparently Shayna Baszler, cosplaying as Darth Vader in the battle royal, administered a chokeslam by using the force.
  10. I find it very hard to believe that Sara Amato, Dusty Rhodes, and William f’n Regal trained Nia Jax to wrestle the same as Alexa Bliss.
  11. I haven’t forgotten how largely terrible the Raw vs SmackDown feud was a decade ago. I can still hear Tazz’s voice cheerleading the “Mackdown guys” on commentary when one would enter the Royal Rumble.
  12. Couple questions about the finale: Who was with Vampiro during the closing montage? -Who did Dario call as he lay dying? (On a rotary phone, nonetheless) I couldn’t understand what he was saying.
  13. ...and then there is this. The Great Power Uti has been taken into custody reference the death of his wife. A Nigerian Police spokesman said a bloody saxophone was found at the scene. (Kidding about the last part) http://punchng.com/nigerian-wrestling-champion-power-uti-arrested-over-wifes-death/ EDIT: I did LOL after reading the name of the actual police spokesman. Famous Cole.
  14. It didn’t work for Aries. He quit within weeks of his fiancée making her NXT tv debut.
  15. Bludgeon Brothers sounds better than Blushing Brothers, which is what I thought they originally said.
  16. It didn’t look quite that close live, but watching multiple replays you could see that they were about three-tenths of a second from disaster. Owens could have legitimately been killed or a paraplegic.
  17. That Ivelisse/Catrina match was way better than it should have been. Catrina has enough ring ability along with the right amount of smoke and mirrors and it turned into a really good match.
  18. Is Shayna Baszler the first individual to appear in a major wrestling promotion billed from South Dakota? The only other possibility I could think of would be Scott and Bill Irwin. They were actually from northern Minnesota, but I believe they may have been billed from Sturgis at some point. Brock doesn't count since he's always been billed from Minneapolis.
  19. Your answer is 246. 200 times the first year and then on your birthday and anniversary the remaining 23 years. (I know this because I've been married 19 years.)
  20. I was disappointed that they downplayed how good of a WCW run she had. They completely glossed over her feuds with Bull Nakano and Akira Hokuto and jumped straight to the evening gown match and having BBQ sauce dumped on her by Oklahoma.
  21. One of my favorite moments was Killshot delivering the running dropkick and then landing perfectly on the gurnee. Looked like something I'd see in a Jackie Chan movie.
  22. Randy episodes are the best. So many great lines in this one.
  23. Decent roster, but still no Powers of Pain. Sigh. Is this Rick Martel's debut in a 2k game? How about Kevin and Kerry Von Erich?
  24. That's the type of Lucha Underground episode I like. That 5-0 Street Fight was way more fun than I expected it to be.
