  1. At the very least, Reigns' spear is a credible bone jarring finisher as opposed to that lanky goof Edge's shitty tacklehug variation he exposed the business with every time he had a match.
  2. I see Punk's prickly "This doesn't suit me! This won't do at all! Whoa is me!" nature more on par with Val Kilmer circa "Island of Dr. Moreau" than some headcase team sports player. That being said one can only hope Punk eventually suffers the wrestling equivalent of what has become the bloated perpetually swollen from bee stings Kilmer's straight to DVD acting career.
  3. Can't wait for the release of that grinning jackass Miles Austin; the poster child for superstars that never materialize from the aberration of one breakout season.
  4. Instant gut reaction: 42-yard extra point is just one more little wrinkle to make sure parity (glut of 7-9 to 9-7 teams) is an even bigger clusterfuck than it already is. And right as they add that extra playoff team to the field.
  5. As far as Punk goes, fat chance of him ever giving the same shit about his sycophantic admirers that he does the rest of the world fully understanding he gives no shits about anything whatsoever.
  6. Never understood the Christian love personally. To me, he's always been some gawky midcarder dude with the imposing physique of a Best Buy assistant manager.
  7. So they emphasize pewter except it's now a much darker doo doo shade of pewter than metallic looking. If it wasn't for the oversized logo on the helmet it would be hard to tell that this wasn't just some crappy uniform overhaul for University of Wyoming.
  8. On the other hand, the guy is devoid of ego when it comes to selling for anybody. Look how much he gave that crackheaded muppet looking motherfucker CM Punk (I believe three clear pinfalls interrupted by Heyman.) Would a money-grabbing Goldberg be that accommodating to a guy that puny?
  9. I don't think corporate Punk works. I think he is better off as a narcissistic heel who is insanely jealous of Daniel Bryan and worried that Bryan is taking over his spot as the "voice of the voiceless". If he can't get his dream of main-eventing Wrestlemania, then he is going to make sure that Daniel Bryan isn't going to get his dream of a fair match for the title. Punk should belittle fans for being a "bunch of spastic sheep" moving their arms while chanting "yes" when they should have been clamoring for CM Punk to have another year-long title reign. I get what you're going towards, but it just feels like I've seen Punk whine for respect while holding the WWE title before. Evolve or die. I wouldn't put the title back on Punk. I thought it was a mistake back then to leave the belt with him for so long because that is a spot that should be reserved for guys who they hope are going to be WWE loyalists for life and I don't think Punk is ever going to be that guy. I would evolve Punk from a guy who really wants the title to a guy who just wants to ruin everything for everyone else because he can't get what he wants. I'd have him run in on "wet dream" matches because if he can't be happy, then the fans aren't allowed to be happy either. Just so long as Roman Reigns gets tired of his shit disturbing and murders the little prick. Or Cesaro. And I agree even half a year of sanctimonious cunty heel champ Punk was too much.
  10. The Cowboys would've won three division titles by now, possibly a deep playoff run or two, and us Eagles fans would be even more fucking miserable that we are now. Oh, almost forgot....the dumb ass Cowboys also passed on LeSean McCoy (who was easily the highest rated remaining player on their board) because they already had Felix the Fragile and Marion Barbarian. So it just goes to show bad drafting also has a horrible trickle down effect.

Yeah, in his prime, the man himself Austin did a 180 to form the Two-Man Power Trip. Heh, Austin and Punk are pretty chummy. I wonder if in hindsight Austin didn't think that radical shift in his character ended up being the best route for him. It certainly averted and squashed any potential Austin/Triple H feud that could've been renewed not that long after the vehicular manslaughter plot bullshit; especially the way they milk marquee matchups nowadays until the cow's teet falls off. And over a lot less than vehicular manslaughter conspiracies.
  12. What if the Cowboys would've drafted Chris Johnson instead of Felix Jones?
  13. Personally I've never been a Punk guy. But if he wants to take his ball and go home; fine. As has already been stated his cult of dipshit devotees ruining shows with their incessant and useless chanting is the problem.
  14. Punk the character and real guy is almost where mid-nineties Bret Hart was at this point. Hart took an eight month sabbatical after having three very solid and lengthy reigns with the belt. Except you have to admit Hart did have at least one legit beef with HBK ducking out of WM XIII because the prick didn't want to return the favor. (Who's ever pulled anything like that on Punk? I mean he's been booked very even with the top dog Cena.) Not that it didn't all work out for the best as we got that awesome Austin/Hart match and one of the great WM visuals and moments at the end of the "I QUIT" match. Then there are the similarities to how they were booked against monsters. Hart had those various non-finishes against Diesel and Undertaker where he was basically bailed out after they hit their finishes.... back when smaller guys weren't booked as superheroes and the Jackknife was death. That's very similar to all the shenanigans Punk needed to retain his title against Ryback. And of course "The Petulance of Persecution" was one of the first guys to air shoot grievances live except his stuff actually came off as somewhat edgy as opposed to Punk's too inside snide dorky shoot bullshit. As far as whiners go, HBK still has to be the worst. Except he never comes up in these discussions because Vince never rebuffed his little power trips.
  15. Anyhow, the worst kind of argument is blaming a superstar for all these great guys he was surrounded by. It's even worse if the guys you're claiming were great weren't even that great or good to begin with. Besides as I already alluded to you could much more make the case that Carter was very privileged to play with a Hall Of Famer in Moon and then at the end of his prime get to be Moss's sidekick.
  16. This isn't entirely true. Culpepper had far and away his best year in a season ('04) where Moss was relegated to being a gimp and/or a decoy when he was on the field. Now he was some hell of a gimpy decoy to score 13 TD's but besides that he only finished with 49 receptions for 767 yards.
  17. Randall Cunningham was elite? WTF. Randy played with an elite QB for a little over 3 seasons. Those seasons produced his 2nd, 7th, and 9th highest yardage totals. Yeah, he set the TD record one of those years. In other words, Randy produced in a whole lot of seasons without having an elite QB. "Moss never produced without an elite QB" might be one of the more factually incorrect statements we've seen on the football boards in awhile. Daunte was elite for a couple years. But that said, it was a foolish statement. I can own it even though I do genuinely think there are numerous people I'd rather have then that lazy malcontent. Not just Rice either. I'd take TO, Irvin, #89 in his prime, Megatron, Cris Carter, all of them over Randy. Fun fact: Carter never finished in the top five in receiving yards in a given season and in his final six seasons with the Vikings was not even their leader in receiving yards. (Jake Reed; '96-'97, obviously Moss '98-'01.) So as eye-popping as Carter's TD's were you could make the argument he wasn't even the dominant go-to lead receiver on his own team; even before Moss got there.
  18. The big thing with Manziel is you have to wonder whether or not he may have gotten spoiled by being able to consistently scramble around in circles for 10 to 15 seconds and chucking it up for grabs 40 yards down the field to always have Evans easily high point the ball each and every time? Keep in mind this was occurring against the likes of Alabama too so in Manziel's mind if he could consistently work this kind of bullshit ball magic against the biggest baddest dudes the SEC had to offer why couldn't he wing it with equal success in the NFL?
  19. If we're being honest almost every 'Mania so far this decade has had the primary belt defended as either a prop or an outright afterthought. XXVII= At this point the belt was some kind of experimental megapush drug being wasted on that disgrace that is The Miz. Also Miz and the belt were really afterthoughts in the seeds being planted for the next two WM's Rock/Cena main events. Then you have to admit it's pretty damning by the friggin' Miz was arbitrarily given a six-month run as champ that there is very little rhyme or reason as to whom the WWE gives extended title reign pushes to. That twerp was the next star they tried to shove down everybody's throats. For shame. XXVIII= Punk/Jericho was an afterthought compared to the streak being defended and Rock/Cena. XXIX= The belt was held hostage as a prop to make sure everybody understood what a big deal Rock/Cena II was. And now Orton has had the title since Summerslam (when it wasn't held up for that month)but at this point it's basically a crutch to remind everybody that he's still supposed to be a big deal. And now he's about to job it to Batista who's basically getting it as a signing bonus/perk for returning to the company. So it's not like the main belt has been treated like anything special at the actual 'Mania event for going on four years now.
  20. Following his first title win, Austin beat Kane and Undertaker clean when they were both still in full-on undead monster mode over that spring and summer. That's totally different than the almost half dozen Luger/Flair fuck finishes Bryan has endured in choking at winning back the title so far.
  21. They should go on last and Triple H should get brutefucked the way Brock did him at Summerslam and the even worse way he grudgefucked Orton at that one Wrestlemania in the first ever WM main event extended squash. In fact, save for the attack where Orton had him in handcuffs that whole program was an extended squash replete with Triple H chasing all three frightened Legacy members around like some kind of slasher monster.
  22. Speaking of "The Petulance of Persecution" and things in his little book that boggle the mind.... Has any wrestler ever bought a dumber more transparent line of shit hook, line and sinker (from a promoter) than Vince actually talking him into believing Hogan was tapping clean to the sharpshooter to job the title back to him at Summerslam in 1993? To be fair I guess that was much more of an ego thing than necessarily a gullible stupidity thing. Also Bret likely exaggerated how much he ever believed those "long-term booking plans" just so he could whine some more about the kind of conniving manipulative dicks Vince and Hogan were back in the day.
  23. Well, no-fucking-body was taking the belt off Hogan or even Warrior during the superhero era except Slaughter for that goofy publicity stunt angle just to transition it back to Hogan. I was thinking more along the lines of Rude ending up back in the WWE during '92-'93 when he easily could've swapped the belt with Hart a few times. All the guys listed are good answers. Furthermore, if Rude hadn't broken down physically so prematurely he would've been great as either Corporate Champion or a cool heel. As for Piper he was one of those unique guys like Jake The Snake where he was so over doing his niche a belt was something he never needed to make people give a damn. Defending a belt would've almost been strange for either of those guys. Their niche was wholseale shit disturbing; not winning and defending titles.
  24. I don't know; maybe it's just me but I think the Wyatts spacing out attacks on Cena is an ideal way to fuck with somebody. Also Cena has been on top for so long it just feels like there's nothing remotely fresh he can do at WrestleMania save for challenging "The Streak." Who knows how Vince's head works? Maybe they're actually holding off all the way until WM XXXIII where Undertaker can go for 25-0 against Cena. Fat chance the dead man's body holds up that long but I'm just throwing it out there.
  25. Besides Rude (who I guess had some falling out with Vince in 1990; over not getting the title off Warrior perhaps ?) Ramon has to be the next most obvious guy who easily should've gotten a title run.
