  1. That's freaking awesome.
  2. In case you missed it, here's Kevin Lockett's glorious flop from this past weekend:
  3. Bo Jackson getting added to Madden 15
  4. My UPS stories: Where we used to live in Colorado was an apartment complex with no security whatsoever. None needed. We lived in the main building, 5 feet from the manager's office/apartment. Literally, walk up 8 stairs, immediately you're at our door, which was directly across from the manager. We moved to Colorado a few months after our wedding and ordered our photo album to be shipped to us there. This was no inexpensive item - somewhere in the $800-$1000 range. It was shipped with signature required. UPS delivered it without even ringing our doorbell or asking for a signature. A year or so later, my wife had a repair done on her wedding ring at the jeweler in Michigan where I'd bought it. This was a rather more expensive item than our album. Same deal, shipped with signature required, etc. Same deal - UPS delivered it without even ringing our door bell. Fortunately in both cases, we got the items without issue but... On the other hand, there was the local post office. If you got a package delivered to your home, for teachers anyway, they would bring them to the school where you taught. Without even asking, they'd just make the original delivery there.
  5. Street Fighter 5 is confirmed as a PS4/PC exclusive. As in, actual exclusive, not some timed exclusive. Sony is assisting in the development, so no Xbone version.
  6. That sucks. Murray will always a place in my heart for all his work in building the Red Wings franchise into the powerhouse it's been for last nearly 25 years. He took over a team in disarray and righted the ship, big-time.
  7. Detroit's hot streak continued over the weekend with wins over the Rangers and Hurricanes. 9-2 in their last 11, they're now tied with Tampa with 39 points, tops in the Eastern conference. The young guys are playing great and they're scoring goals - 4th in the league at 3.1 per game with three guys having 12 or more. Pavel Datsyuk looks re-energized and is on a roll big-time. Really enjoying this season so far, that's for sure.
  8. Way to rock the $5 Montana bootleg jersey there, sport.
  9. It's a move borrowed from hockey - 70s Bruins, 90s/00s Devils, modern Ducks - commit so many penalties and cheat so much that the refs become afraid to call them all. In the case of Seattle, what ends up happening is that they get into the heads of their opponents and they end up complaining even on plays that are clean.
  10. That's some quality trolling right there.
  11. The other problem with Boise is that they bring less than nothing to the table in sports other than football.
  12. I thought it was PS4 and Vita? I might be wrong though. No, you're right.
  13. Art Briles arguing head-to-head should trump all since he apparently has voted otherwise in the coaches poll in the past. I agree with him about Baylor, I just think it's funny.
  14. This is some major league spin right here. Miller was hurt weeks before the season started. And Virginia Tech wasn't even Ohio's first game. They got thumped at home by a terrible team they should have been able to beat with me at quarterback. So let's stop with the "Miller got hurt" nonsense.
  15. Kinda like ND did when they played FSU. If you're referring to the pass interference at the end, that was 100% the right call.
  16. 15 minutes of gameplay footage from Uncharted 4 have been released. Similar to past titles with a few new wrinkles mixed in. And, oh yeah, it LOOKS spectacular.
  17. Heard it's good. Heard it has issues. (shock face here).
  18. Another rewatch for me, this time a movie I've seen 5 or 6 times (at least): Phenomenon - John Travolta is George Malley, a kind-hearted, simple man who is a mechanic in a small town. He's known and loved by the entire town and is celebrating his birthday one night when he sees a bright flash of light and a loud boom. Suddenly, he is super-energized with an endless thirst for knowledge and the super-accelerated mind to be able to process that knowledge. He is suddenly able to predict earthquakes, crack cyphers, perform telekinesis, and learn languages in less than an hour. All the while he's trying to win the affections of Lacy, played by Kyra Sedgwick. Meanwhile, his lifelong friends slowly turn on George as his new found "powers" frighten them. There's a sweet love story in the middle of this movie along with a bunch of kind, simple people. Hard to explain but this is a movie that really connects with me. I can totally relate to being the academic "freak show" and so, much like Good Will Hunting, that part of George's story resonates for me big time. Anyway, this is a movie I probably like a lot more than it really deserves but can't help it. 9/10.
  19. That might be quote of the year in any sport.
  20. Yeah, I had a friend that used to manage the Sun Coast when I worked at GameStop. Our end of the mall was always the busiest. And yep, both of our stores were all about helping stupid parents keep their kids from getting their hands on stuff they shouldn't be buying. I think the words, I still remember one lady beating the shit out of her teenage son in front of SunCoast after the clerk took the mother to the back and showed her why it would be a bad idea for her to buy La Blue Girl for the boy.. "It's just a cartoon about ninjas and stuff, right" "Oh, lady, you have no idea." Before working at Suncoast, I worked at Musicland (same parent company). I had a kid who was maybe 11 come in to buy NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" tape. I refused to sell, told the kid he needed an adult. Kid was cool about it, says he'll come back with Mom, no problem. Half hour later, Mom comes back with kid and beefs at me for refusing to sell to the kid. Sigh... And if I had a dollar for every time security from Hudson's (the main department store at our mall) came to us at both Suncoast and Musicland with a pile of our stuff that somebody had stolen... People would rip us off, then go down to Hudson's and try to rip them off, too. They'd get busted and would have a pile of our stuff, too. Then there's the time that mall security robbed our Suncoast at night. This was right after the release of Batman on VHS. That was one of the first movies to go directly to retail at a normal price ($19.99) and was a MASSIVE seller. We had a display of them up near the front of the store. Anyway, mall security got one of those claw/grabber things and stole a whole bunch of tapes by pulling them through the gate at the front of the store. It had never occurred to us that we might need to push the display back a bit or cover it with a sheet AFTER the mall was "empty".
  21. The general litterbox rule for multiple cats is one for every cat plus one. So, I have two cats and three litterboxes. My my girlfriend and I can share one bathroom, our two cats sure as hell can too. Your cats don't flush.
  22. That movie is freaking great.
  23. So, I just wanted to veg and surf the web with a movie on the TV. Thus, I spun the Netflix "My List" Wheel o' Fun and came up with: Dark Tide - OK, I've read the reviews so I was expecting terrible going in. No problem there. I was looking for brainless entertainment while I just chilled out. And, hey, 2 hours of Halle Berry in a bikini, how bad can it be, right? Well...the answer is "pretty freaking awful". Holy cow. This is a really strong candidate for worst movie I've ever seen. It's just such a mess of...well, everything. The story is that Berry is a diver who free swims (i.e. outside of a cage) with great white sharks. She retires after her diving partner gets eaten by a shark. So no more shark diving. Until her husband, from whom she's estranged, shows up with a millionaire Brit who wants to free swim with sharks. Halle is REALLY AGAINST THAT because, ya know, guilt and stuff, until dude backs up the Brink's truck full o' cash. They go out on the water and mayhem ensues. Along the way, we get terrible dialogue delivered by bad actors and good actors acting poorly all mixed into a choppy story that has no meat on it and doesn't flow at all. The whole thing is just plain terrible. Really, just amazingly bad. 0/10.
  24. I've got Rogue but won't play it till after Unity. Have heard, like EVA said, that it's basically another AC4. Uh...that sounds awesome.
