  1. The only reason they were there in the first place was because of the Xbox 360 problems.
  2. I had a real fun time watching while tweeting and reading #AskEC3 on Twitter tonight. I like where pretty much everything has gone and is going. My only complaint is Taz. Seems like with every good thing he says, there's ten bad things to make up for it. I also don't like the confetti used for the foreign stars. I know what they're trying to do, but I don't think it's working. Other than that, there's nothing I can think of right now that I don't like. Now if people could just stop comparing TNA to WWE or at least be somewhat original with it, I'd be one happy camper. Eric Young is going to need neck surgery because Daniel Bryan needs it. That was just as funny the first time as it was the 1000th time! The MVP, Kenny King and Lashley stable is the "Black Evolution" of TNA, because Evolution was the original stable in wrestling. All the others that formed in the past 11 years since then are ripoffs, except not really. Just the ones in TNA, because fuck logic. I know I shouldn't let the negativity of others bother me and I usually don't, but it's hard not to when you see it more often than not. Most of the time it's completely unnecessary.
  3. Sabu is one of the very few reasons why I keep my Facebook account. NSFW-ish
  4. I think it's great that they're making room for new talent. That's what drew me into the company 10 years ago. The releases haven't been all that bad. Hernandez hasn't done anything for the company in a while and Chris Sabin is not the wrestler he use to be before he got injured. It does suck that Bad Influence is gone and that Garrett Bischoff and Wes Briscoe are still there though. As far as TNA signing "NXT rejects" goes. I think that's also pretty awesome. Just because you're a "NXT reject" doesn't mean you're a talentless loser. Take EC3 for example, I first noticed him when he was Derrick Bateman and since then I've gone back and watched him on the indies, mainly in AIW. The guy can do pretty much anything in the ring and outside of it. Now he's one of my favorite things in wrestling! Also, isn't Chris Hero a "NXT reject"? If things were different and TNA was keeping older guys and not signing new talent, everyone who's bashing them now would do a 180 and bash them for that too. Same goes with them using smaller venus. People mocked them for using large venus and now they're mocking them for using the Manhattan Center. Yes they make a lot of poor booking decisions, but who doesn't? Since the Raw after the Raw after 'Mania (try saying that 3 times fast) the poor booking decisions outweigh the good for WWE. Yet people are more willing to ignore that and enjoy the stuff that is good. Why can't the same be done for TNA? It's not because there's nothing they're doing to enjoy, because there is. Wrestling fans are the most negative people on the planet.
  5. According to the reddit page, Spring Stampede 2000 was recently updated. Any idea why?
  6. Speaking of Dustin, I'll never get over how underappreciated his match with Bunkhouse Buck from Spring Stampede 1994 is.
  7. I want to like Adam Rose, I really do! Michael Cole just won't allow it though. Also after rewatching the first Rumble on the Network recently I think I would rather call Brie "Bella Red" and Nikki "Bella Pink". You know, because of the upgraded mammaries. After that zinger, I wouldn't be confused if I woke up tomorrow banned from the board. Also, this!
  8. My mom did the same thing with a few WCW (and horror movie) tapes too, but it was around the time the place was shutting down, so the tapes were mad cheap! I believe wrestling wise she bought me Great American Bash 87, Starrcade 97, Uncensored 98, Bash At The Beach 98, Halloween Havoc 99, Mayhem 99 and Sting Unmasked.
  9. I've never seen anyone use the turnbuckle like that before! Does anyone have a link to that match? Also that Baba GIF is glorious!
  10. Back in 1999 when I was around 7 years old, I saw an issue of WCW Magazine with Sting on the cover at a local supermarket and asked my mom to buy it for me, but we were very poor at the time, so she couldn't afford it. We also couldn't afford cable or satellite at that time either, so I wasn't able to go home, find it and watch. I use to always spend the weekends at either my grandma's or my aunt's house. Fast forward a few weeks later, I was doing just that. I was at my grandma's house flipping through the channels and stumbled across WCW Saturday Night and then I was hooked! i sporadically watched Saturday Night whenever I could. When we were able to afford cable by early to mid 2000 that's when I became a full time fan. I didn't discover WWF until December 2000, but I preferred WCW instead. I didn't really start watching WWF until the last hour of Raw after last Nitro. I also remember not believing that WCW was truly gone until the week after the last Nitro when I tried to watch it, but something else was on. I cried at little and the waited for Raw to come on. On a side note. During this time my local video store use to rent out pretty much every WCW tape ever made. So from when I became a fan, up until the store went out of business, I rented out every single tape they had! To this day I still love watching WCW more than anything else in wrestling.
  11. I think it was more for Angle than the crowd being Xenophobic, if that's what you're suggesting.
  12. I absolutely hated the last segment. Not only because i'm sick and tired of heel authority figures in wrestling in general, but because the canned heat that came along with it was absolutely terrible! Especially when it was obvious that shitty Impact Zoners couldn't care less. MVP became the director of wrestling operations nearly two months ago to the date and has already turned heel. Why does almost every authority figure in wrestling have to be a heel and why does TNA especially have a hardon for it? Anyway, besides that, I was fairly entertained by the show overall. Especially coming off of a mostly terrible Raw, almost anything would be entertaining! Once again, Spud was the best part of the show for me. That guy has more charisma than his little body should be able to hold. I can't wait to hopefully see him get killed by Bully in a match soon, but not as much as I'm ready to see Dixie get put through a table. I can't tell you the last time I've seen an Evening Gown Match. I was expecting the worse, but it was alright. While I'm obviously not happy that Kurt is hurt again, I am glad that it most likely means that he might be finishing up with the company. The guy hasn't done much of anything lately in TNA and desperately needs a change of scenery. I like the idea of him having one more run in WWE. I think he would stick around a lot more than the other older guys they have currently signed and would definitely bring out the best in everyone he could possibly work with on that roster. The ladder match was crazy! That's all I really have to say about it. I didn't know what to expect from The Menagerie, because I really didn't care for the vignettes that lead up to it, but I was very impressed with that segment. I think Taz said it best (for once) when he said that it was how a debut should be done (ala Adam Rose). I can't wait to see where this goes. I think this is one of the last times that we'll see Kazarian in TNA for quite awhile sadly. I'm digging the whole Magnus/Bram storyline. Seems like they found a logical way to try and fix Magnus after burying him for the past few months. Willow is something. Sometimes I enjoy him and then sometimes I remember it's Jeff Hardy under a mask and I lose my interest. Especially when his in-ring style hasn't changed one bit, but I do love the goofiness of his promos though. I love EY's title run as any of you following the TNA forum know already. He's the first champion since Punk that I've wanted to pull a Bruno and hold the title forever. Hopefully with the ways things are going with Roode, MVP and others the title match at Slammiversary will end up being a King of the Mountain match. That's all I want from TNA is for them to go back to the way they were before Hogan and Bischoff came into the fold. Those were much better and more original times.
  13. Back to wrestling photos. I stumbled across something I shopped awhile back. Besides the ROH buffering logo, this is the best thing I've ever made bar none! In case you're wondering, here's the original pic.
  14. After I tweeted it I went off to do something else and totally forgot about it. I wasn't expecting him to reply back anyway, but when I saw that he did I marked out. Is that bad?
  15. The weird thing about it is that I haven't been on the board all day up to that point.
  16. On DVDVR there's such a thing as being too positive? Since that seems to be the case, hey Mike Zeidler I like and agree that The Natural provides great stuff in the wrestling photo thread.
  17. I think I gave Booker T the wrong impression. I really dislike the whole #wcw thing so every Wednesday I try to post at least one picture from the real WCW to combat the teenaged tweeters.
  18. I didn't get to watch because I was out of town and the hotel I was staying at had piss poor internet. Hopefully I can finally see how my internet and Roku can handle the next live PPV.
  19. I do t think it gets any more 80s than this. If only that was from the 80s. Doesn't make it look any less 80s, though.
  20. Knowing that a bunch of you don't watch TNA I purposely made this for you guys to take it out of context.
  21. I do t think it gets any more 80s than this.
  22. Sooo .... Mankind, then? Not really. I watch both products religiously so I know better than a lot the people comparing Daniel Bryan and EY because from what I can tell a bunch of them don't even watch TNA or they would know better. I'm not saying there's no similarities between the two because there are. Both won the title after wrestling earlier the same night, both were underdogs and both have beards, but other than that there's nothing else that's really that similar. I'm also not saying that it wasn't their intentions to capitalize on the Daniel Bryan craze, but I doubt it. Even if it was, I don't care because I've enjoyed the past few weeks of TNA more than anything since sometime in 2012. In my opinion Abyss is more of a mix of Cactus Jack with a touch of Kane than anything else. I appreciate that Daniel Bryan has a different style than EY, but let's face it - he's 5 times better than EY, who is fine and all, but still a little goofy for my tastes. Abyss is no Cactus Jack either - Foley isn't cool thesedays but c'mon man, Abyss is beyond terrible. What was wrong with Joseph Park? I don't really see how Magnus is supposed to have gone soft after he kicked out of both if EY's finishers. The show is back to being watchable, so I am almost a defender of the Crash TV approach. I still think that EY has been given too much too soon; it should have been Roode - by having him take out A.J. Styles they kind of had to wait on that passing over, but it still feels like that's the general shape of things. I see EY as a transitional guy and doubt he'll be defending at BFG. The BFG series could be a lot of fun though - it's the one thing that differentiates them from WWE. Abyss use to not be terrible IMO. I use to really enjoy his work up until around the time he started talking. I really miss Joseph Park. I especially loved when he was trying to become a wrestler and starting out as a rookie and didn't understand the terminology. A lot of fans seemed to not like him though. They would rather have the terrible looking Abyss we now have. Makes no sense, but that's wrestling fans for ya.
