This ballot doesn't have the ceiling that last year's did (minus Bonds and Clemens, of course), but the depth is still ridiculous. Biggio has to get in this year after coming so close last year, and I think Johnson, Pedro, and Smoltz get in without much difficulty.

Any writer who turns in a ballot with less than three names on it should be tarred and feathered.

Barreto was 5th leading into 2014 (and is 5th again 12 months later), Nolin was 10th, Graveman was unranked, but was just drafted in '13 and killed the minors this year. Fangraphs had Barreto 11th and Nolin 10th a year ago.

The Red Sox have something like seven outfielders on their 40-man, plus now Hanley, Pablo, and Bogaerts. They're probably going to run Hanley into the OF (lol), Sandoval at third, and Bogaerts to short. If I'm the Phillies and Boston wants me to take on the contracts of Cespedes, Craig, and/or SHANF, I'm demanding Bogaerts, Betts, and/or Bradley too.
