    From the way Burkman described it himself, he was trying to get another fight in to get an impressive win and leave on a high note and use that WSOF had to change his pay because they didn't have him budgeted him for that card in order to get him a fight. Like up his value and put it to the court of public opinion. I like Burkman and all, and fighters have to do what they have to do to make all the money they can. But the way he described, it did sound a little underhanded on his part.

    He should. Frank Miller helped make him a lot of money and cement his career.

    People keep talking about that, and my apologies but it makes me uncomfortable. The guy is 64 years old. Plus, it's not like Shandling was this big heart throb back in the day. People's bodies and their faces change when they get older. Not everyone can look like Harrison Ford at 64. Maybe he had some bad plastic surgery though, dunno.

    Didn't they want Burkman to fight the Palhares/Fitch winner? And Burkman was trying to get released from the promotion after his last fight.

    Sting is the obvious choice.

    I think they really should've gotten Nurmagomedov/Dos Anjos on Fox because that fight's a potential title eliminator. The Fox card prelims on FS1 usually only get about 600K-700K viewers anyway.

    In Belfort's defense, Johnson was 197 lbs for that fight. Johnson then fought as high as heavyweight outside the UFC and is returning as a light heavyweight.

    All this kind of lends credence to the rumors that Glenn Robinson just paid some big names a bunch of money to come and train and be labeled as a "Blackzilian" to give the stable legitimacy. Then all their fighters started losing all their big fights.

    They'd probably give him some sort of UFC for life job in Brazil to keep him in the family.

    Also Harley Davidson just released this today for some reason. Does have some neat BTS footage at least.

    Nogueira should've retired after the Herman win in Brazil. Some guys just can't give it up. Fighting and winning is an addiction for them and they will do almost anything to feel the thrill of winning again. UFC really need to make Nogueira retire now. Offer him a Hall of Fame spot. No reason for him to continue fighting anymore. He's never going to be a contender again.

    If Nate Diaz believes he has the right to re-negotiate his deal in the middle of it, he should have it in writing. Otherwise it sounds like his manager could've misled him as well.

    I'm at a complete loss right now. I just got his blu-ray a week ago, he goes to the Hall of Fame, pours his heart out on Raw has a fun promo, things are looking great for him. I'm praying for his family right now. I really hope it wasn't suicide and a heart attack.
