  1. What's Sylvester Terkay up to? Vladimir Koslov? Carlito? Ricky Ortiz? Maybe get Rico out of retirement. Basically, they could sign large portions of WWE's mid-2000s roster.
  2. I misread a headline on PWInsider, and it got me thinking -- with the WWE trying to fill their network with reality-show knockoffs, and with their constant vain pursuit of pop culture acceptance, they should work on a hybrid Tough Enough/Dancing With the Stars programme. You could pair downmarket celebrities with wrestlers (like early NXT), have them work with the trainers at Full Sail, and build enough "reality tv" tension that you could probably get at least one PPV sideshow match a season out of it.
  3. I remember liking him, but that was some serious grade-school Rock-wannabe material.
  4. All this Riley hate gladdens my heart.
  5. She also came back from a neck injury recently, and I'd be lying if I didn't say she might be thinking about her health given recent events.
  6. Edge was great. Team ECK-era Edge was the high point, of course, but the Rated R superstar was good. Between his feuds with Cena and the Rated RKO team, I'd argue Edge had a hand in the formative years of the two men who, for better worse, have defined the main event scene for the better part of a decade. Post-injury "Spear spear spear, spear spear spear spear" Edge wasn't as good, but I think you have to cut him some slack for that. He was obviously more beat-up than it seemed, and he was a better fit as a heel than a WWE-brand pandering face but had the post-comeback sympathy push. He also had many, many good tag team runs under his belt -- Edge and Christian, Rated RKO, his teams with Mysterio during the Smackdown Six era, and his time with Jericho (I forget if they had a portmanteau name.)
  7. Orton is at his most tolerable in GIF form. He's good enough when he's nowhere near the World Title and John Cena, and acting like a goof. Randy Orton is not good enough when he's main eventing pay per views, wrestling the same people for ten years, and taking up multiple segments with his monotone delivery. If he'd stick to SmackDown tag matches and Holiday-themed PG streetfights, that'd be great.
  8. Kay Fabian? Wasn't that the doctor who helped George Steele through electroshock therapy?
  9. Interesting Fact: In every match that featured someone who was on the WrestleMania card 10 years ago, they won (except for the Battle Royal, simply because there was more than one participant from WM 21.)
  10. Macklemore? And Maria has a long tongue...
  11. "PWInsider has learned that WWE Diva Eva Marie is slated to be the official host of the Hall of Fame." Step up or down from Lawler?
  12. Little skimpy on the contents and the details tab of course, offers no details at all. "TNA Wrestling presents The Best Of Sting" "Featuring the stars of Impact Wrestling" The fact this company still can't settle on its branding is so ridiculous. At least there's nothing else titled "The Best Of Sting" to compete with. This has been gone over many times. TNA Wrestling is the company, Impact Wrestling the show. TNA:Impact::WWE:Raw
  13. I like to imagine an "I Quit rubber match" means the loser must swear off latex for life.
  14. Just to clarify, Owen fell during, not before, the PPV.
  15. That's not generally how public domain works these days. Although it would depend in part on how old the footage was (for instance, the situation that led to Night of the Living Dead falling into the public domain so quickly wouldn't apply to a movie made today.)
  16. Might have been because you were trying it on the Genesis when it was for the Dreamcast.
  17. Other spoilers I read said it was "Total Knockouts Only", which is bad but at least fits the acronym.
  18. One of the wrestlers where I often think "I hope he gets another run", and then remember that he's dead. Depressing.
