  1. How is that different than Bryan or Dolph?
  2. Hey, they could give Peck Ziggler's spot too.
  3. Watch the frigging Can-Am vs Funks match already. It's all about them not seeing Zenk on their level and then no longer trusting Martel as part of the fraternity after he gets pissed about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqnyBjGcLZM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1h90uyBFUo It is awesome.
  4. One thing is that Razor aligns, in part, with the Start of Raw, so he was maybe more of a weekly presence than he might have otherwise been. Razor was also a really cool character. Dressed cool, acted cool, and had cool music. Some kids in school were Bret Hart fans, but the majority in my school were Razor fans. Well he was portraying a drug dealer, basically.

  6. You can run Orton vs Punk and even have them trade the belt back once or twice. Pretend Punk is foley. Or Cody, sure. I'd be fine running Christian vs Orton at the Rumble since that's always a "weak challenger" show and play up that They wanted Orton to be the face of the world championship in 2011 even though christian was super over.
  7. Bryan winning and holding the belt for any length of time is just about the very worst thing they can do at this point. They set up a chase. Why the hell would they hotshot the payoff? I don't think he should get it til Mania. Big Show for a couple of months. HHH in December to get into the Rumble. Wins the rumble. Mania. Made forever.
  8. Last night, I saw that and my mind went "Curtain Call!" so it was a pretty great moment when he hit the Cross Rhodes instead, yeah.
  9. Stop that. It only makes sense if it's Ted.
  10. They can tease Show turning, but turn someone else instead (Corporate Cody?) and perhaps do an Orton-Show program to portray Orton as a guy who can beat anyone while keeping the champ occupied. Part of me still wants the Ted Jr. retirement to be an internet-working thing so we end up with Corporate Legacy
  11. It's sort of a tricky place for WWE to be in. The best way to get Bryan away from Orton for many months (which is necessary in the same way keeping rock and Austin apart in 98 was) is to turn Show on him. They've done it already two times in the last two years in similar situations. I think they have to be playing with everyone's expectations that Show will turn.
  12. I want Fowler to write his masters thesis about whether AJ is more like Kitty Pryde, Veronica Mars, or Buffy.
  13. I have nothing but respect for Lawler but as an announcer he has been terrible for well over a decade. Lets be honest.. I'd say he was pretty terrible as Heenan's replacement during the 90's as well. Lawler was great in 93. The Magistrator was awesome and he had a line for everything. Vince had so much faith in him that on the first episode of Superstars post-mania X (when he came back), they had the post-tape done with Johnny Polo already (And this is after trying something like 5 guys to replace Lawler) and they just scrapped the Polo commentary and did it with Lawler instead. I've never seen anything like that in WWF before or after.
  14. Since that's not what's going on, I don't want to know what you're doing with your second browser tab right now. Bob Holly would be great in a sort of weird shooty way. I want Masters though. London and Kendrick? If they really want to go with the "working the net fans" angle, they should bring in Davey RIchards for one night to get demolished and then they can get rid of him.
  15. What about guys like Hansen, Gordy, Williams, Lawler, Savage, Steamboat, Windham? When was the last time there was a favorite wrestler tournament or whatever? That happens every year, right? Of those I'd probably take Dustin over Williams, Savage, Steamboat, and maybe Windham. I haven't seen enough prime Gordy or Hansen to judge.
  16. This is really interesting to me. Dustin Rhodes is one of your top five favorite wrestlers? I thought he was great & really underrated in WCW but still, there's a lot of great wrestlers over the years. I'm curious who the four above him are now... Are you new here or something? Dustin's one of the best wrestlers of all time.
  17. Shit, they should just give Dustin Dolph's spot at this point.
  18. I was really hoping Bryan would interfere and cost Orton the match. That's such a Stone Cold spot, and always a good way to get some heat back for the babyface amid all the beatings. It's perfect to leave HHH screaming and cursing at the end of the show too. Maybe they missed the boat on that...or maybe I'm stuck in 1998 Brah!! I thought that's where it was heading too. They were giving Dustin so much in the match that I thought they were going to kill a few birds with one tv segment. They really gave it a ton of time both in the video packages and the match itself. Then the payoff would have been Cody not apologizing. I wonder if they're going to run it again after the PPV with higher stakes, or maybe even on Friday.
  19. Alright, I love you guys, and I'm sure AJ did well tonight or whatever, but let's go back and talk about how awesome Dustin Rhodes is already. I think Orton had a blast working with him and he gave him a ton.
  20. Really, could we have possibly hoped for a better Dustin showcase than that? It was bizarro land. They built him up with video packages through the show. I liked how he was so quick with his strikes that the camera switches were absolutely failing to miss them like they usually do.
  21. I sent some to Alabama.
  22. And I think a lot of the issues were editorial in nature.
  23. Because this might make Marvel a bit more money and who cares?
  24. Who cares if the story is good?
