  1. i gave the first 3 issues of the new 52 a shot. I came back for the 0 issues to give things another shot. I used to read the whole line. I miss the damn thing. There's really nothing for me though. I'm not boycotting them due to any decision they made, on some philosophical level. I'm boycotting them because most of the comics are pretty damn terrible month in and month out and the comics are bad for some of those philosophical things. At this point I wouldn't read them for free.
  2. No one knows. https://twitter.com/VincentAbnett/statuses/420174597208932352
  3. They actually don't write together anymore, so no one's sure if these were inventory stories or just the last thing they did do.
  4. Saw Outlaws vs Rhodes Bros. First off, the crowd was definitely more into the Rhodes Bros which was refreshing. There was a pretty good opening exchange between Road Dogg and Goldust and then a really good mid match one between Billy and Cody. My biggest problem with Cody is still his facial expressions. He's the least emotive guy in the world when he's hitting his stuff and mainly just looks like he's trying to focus on doing what he's supposed to do next. That said, almost every other aspect of his game has improved over the last few months. No problem with the Outlaws win since it was framed as bs. They looked fine and it was great to see Cody and Goldust vs a different team but anyone who wants them to get the weekly tag focus over the Brotherhood right now is sort of a doofus. If I had to guess right now I'd say that the Rhdoes bros will not break up at the Rumble, if only because they're pushing it too hard.
  5. Man that'd be the best Gang Warz ever.
  6. Because MOVEZ~!, extra monines in his already small take from the show (to pay his gym membership), and more stuff for the YouTube vid to get noticed by WWE, of course!!! All our Indy Wrestlers should aspire to this higher standard of killing yourself for Mac-n-Cheese infront of 40 people.
  7. He's british. They should go with The Chap Gravity Midplaced instead. Michael Cole: "London Bridge is Falling Down onto the chest of Heath Slater!" I think a Neville/Bourne team could work fine. Even a trio with Justin Gabriel. Hell if I know what they'd do with them, mind you.
  8. A Russian Conspiracy against Mr. Aguila and his awesome dives? You decide.
  9. Yeah, skip to 2:30 or so. FWIW, that Kwang/Razor match is pretty good actually save for the problems at the end. It was a pretty good way to start a feud, actually. This was right around the same time that Albano came out with the Headshrinkers to challenge the Quebecers and IRS destroyed the headdress and beat up Tanaka and Strongbow to start that feud and Michaels help Diesel win the IC belt from Razor and Earthquake came out to challenge Yoko. If the Perfect/Luger feud hadn't fallen through it would have been a really strong month or two for WWF angles. Apparently it bore out as that was the first year they did a Wrestlemania Revenge tour and according to Meltzer it did great numbers touring in a usually very slow time of year. (They had Bret vs Owen on top and Luger vs Crush after Perfect dropped out).
  10. They're seperated. Doesn't mean they don't communicate with each other. It also doesn't mean his evil robot son with his brain patterns wouldn't totally program her personality/voice into his robot wife.
  11. I will endeavor to watch that mascara vs mascara match later depending on how my day goes since I try to watch at least one lucha match whenever we have a luchador as the WOTD, but this is a really fun five minute match with the best parts being Lita cracking up at Richards' antics and the transition as TAKA pays for trying to copy Lita and Rios' tornado DDTs from earlier in the match. EDIT: Hours later and the board is back. I did see the match. I thought Guerrero was the better guy in there but some of the aerial stuff that Aguila did was really fantastic. I loved how he hit his dives. The end of the first fall seemed a little rough. I did like the multiple comeback attempts by Guerrero before it finally set in and though the third fall got a bit over-kill-y with some of the stuff they were doing, the selling was ultimately good and it was unquestionably fun and exciting. The way Guerrero just mauls him at the end with two completely unnecessary throws before the finish was kind of great.
  12. That Breeze/Neville dropkick counter was probably the best I've ever seen that spot done by anyone. Breeze's dropkick was amazing. The angle he got on it was nuts. I can't make animated gifs on this thing but here's some hastily put together idea of it. I liked the back half of the match a lot, especially the finishing stretch and the battle for the Red Arrow. Breeze definitely has potential and I think Neville's shown a good deal of improvement even in the last year.
  13. Monsters University was better than Despicable Me 2, at least. Kristin Wiig's character was terrible in that thing. Croods is actually pretty good. The baby bought it by accident so we've had to watch it four or five times with the other kid to justify the 15 dollar on demand purchase. Basically, all I've seen this year are kids movies and Thor.
  14. Hey, kids. it's the world's second best Doink.
  15. Now think about how far from that reality we currently are and cry pained tears.
  16. I hate Children of Earth. It's edgy for the sake of it and goes to senseless extremes just because they know they could get away with it, unrestrained from the necessities of ongoing plotting. Laziest writing in the world and not clever in the least.
  17. I may or may not have a dream where HHH beat Bryan at Mania in a match that was weird like the Orton one from 25. I do not have wrestling dreams so I figure it was more about all the back and forth bitching on the board than anything else. Thanks guys. Now then, my new fantasy booking scenario involves a Regal heel turn, a career vs Mania title shot match, and the Wrestlemania X coin flip. Ready?
  18. At least a little bit sent, probably as a preemptive apology for March.
  19. I think that was an answer to the Impact live (yes) universal (no) questions.
