  1. Corey Graves can't do it since he has to be fake Punk. They should introduce Sami as fake Bryan and bring them in as a unit. Just have Bryan still be there. Anyway, I see the Shield like some of those lucha trios that last for years with slightly different rosters.
  2. I think i actually missed the entire Ashley era. I guess I was still watching a little bit in 2005, but I don't really remember the diva search. In my mind she is "the one with the backwards baseball cap." I like that she had her own version of Matt Hardy's legdrop but with an elbow instead.
  3. It's WEIRD what happened to the Swede, let me tell you.
  4. I kind of think Punk will look like Lemmy in a couple of years, depending on facial hair.
  5. Source: https://twitter.com/RealRyback Victory is relative.
  6. re: chip/dale. Yeah, there's part of me that's even interested in the Peabody/Sherman movie but I'm sure it'll be full of pop culture references and at least one or two unnecessary dance numbers. And that's being optimistic.
  7. Them pointing out that Orton has been in 5 Elimination Chamber matches and never won one made me think that he's going over for some reason. Also, while the intensity was great in the main event, it was the selling which really stood out. Bryan's received some complaints about his selling while hitting his stuff but I think he did a stellar job here. It felt like that really great Bockwinkel/Martel match where both wrestlers targeted different body parts.
  8. Really, to me this is a frustrating movie because it shows Ferrell is capable of a lot more than he gives us, and frankly, than he is sucessful with. I'm not saying he could be an everyman Jimmy Stewart, but he can channel something very relatable and very rarely does.
  9. God. This once, I rescind my smarmy comment. It wasn't worth it.
  10. Dick Murdock & Stan Hansen vs. Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami (NJ 12/10/81) I'm pretty sure that exists on tape, actually.
  11. This is a talking point that's been misconstrued over the years. Let's go to the research. It's interesting, because the place where it was really established was Meltzer. He said the following in a may, 94 WON:
  12. You know I had just assumed that she sold high to hedge against the network failing/contract negotiations being underwhelming. I didn't realize she sold before the boom.
  13. Had money to burn. Have you seen the stock prices? Dude's a billionaire again. Time for Linda to run for #3?
  14. Watch it again. This wasn't the standard Daniel Bryan Raw Main Event formula. In a lot of ways Orton couldn't look too vulnerable in Fall as he was being established as the #1 heel and building up to the unification match. Now they can really go wild in the build to Elimination Chamber if they want to.
  15. Wendi Richter could but she didn't set the world on fire with her speech.
  16. To me, it looks like something filmed back during his run that they just pulled out of mothballs.
  17. Weisman on the Star Wars thing has me interested.
  18. Ambrose could work a Cry Baby gimmick I guess?
  19. Doing it as a legdrop night in and night out has to be hell on the spine.
  20. I think we can sum this one up with. Back to the lucha set.
  21. It wears its heart on its sleeve and it really embraces the fact it's a period piece. i can't imagine it being made so earnestly today. They'd set it in 2014 and he'd wear a purple hoodie or something.
  22. I kind of want them to bring back Dean Malenko as a Mr. F type minder for superspy gimmick Aksana..
  23. I did a quick search and didn't see this match in this note. Apologies if it was already. I don't entirely love the structure but there is definitely a lot to like. I'm not entirely sure I ever saw it before yesterday.
