  1. I'm sorry, friend.
  2. I feel like druids would trade in magic and not robots.
  3. He has a hell of an "I hate you all" heel promo in him if he ever DOES come back.
  4. I kind of like fry guy. He's salty.
  5. I was going to post the same thing I always post for every wrestler: Inverted Shoulder breaker. But...add this thing whatever it is... This GIF into the Papa Shango. I posted this in the animated gif post earlier this month!
  6. It hurts to have relationships with others, and you can't be hurt if you don't care and don't make yourself vulnerable. If you don't put yourself out there, you're untouchable, but i suppose eventually, you do look back and wonder what you've gotten other than a lack of conflict. The most jarring part of the book to me, more than anything else, was how quickly the rest of his life was rushed through at the end of part 1 when a few choice years were really highlighted for a number of pages before that. It was very believable, which really highlighted how utterly meaningless whole decades could end up being depending on your decisions and then how you and others view them.
  7. I'm curious if anyone else knows anyone that they consider to be like Adrian? Do we ALL know someone like that? He reminded me a lot of my freshman roommate (of the 1600 SAT, who dropped out of college after a year because it just wasn't working for him). I checked in with him last week just to make sure he was doing okay.
  8. I felt really bad for Alicia Fox at the hof pre-show when she said that she might be in the hall someday. Maybe she will get another push someday.
  9. Eh, by 1997 there wasn't really WWE/WCW fans. Both feds had comprehensive international TV coverage. It wasn't like the 80s where certain fans could only watch certain feds (I know I couldn't see WCW, save for PPV or a couple shows here and there or TBS free preview weekends, on a weekly basis until some time in the mid-nineties), I think by the late nineties you had less "I'm a WCW fan!" or "I'm a WWE fan!" and more "I'm a wrestling fan". I mean, people had their preference of shows, but I don't think there was really any "I don't like so-and-so because he's a WCW guy/WWF guy" anymore. We know this to be untrue. When WCW died people assumed that those fans who weren't already wwf fans would just go watch wwf. It didn't happen, those wcw fans just moved on with their lives. The feds had different and often vocally different fanbases. And they're all just waiting for Sting to appear now!
  10. I badly want someone to photoshop a Nexus armband onto Man-Thing now.
  11. My list probably has Deadline and Adventures of Captain America and maybe Dr. Strange: The Oath, and Wolverine: Manifest Destiny, and The Burnt Offering in Cable/Deadpool ... actually, a better list to make would be the most important stories to your life. AT that point things like Thor 437-450 (the start of the Eric Masterson as Thor stuff) and Avengers: The Crossing would be way too high. Operation: Galactic Storm.
  12. Beautiful timing. It's not WWE, but it's still quite lovely that this popped up on my FB stream just now.
  13. I think they did enough for him not to be just a Hogan goon. There's some good stuff with DDP, Sting and others. I mean, sure we could all fantasy book that period of WCW a little better, I just think the idea that there was a ton of mileage in ace babyface Bret Hart is more than a little questionable and that really his run in WCW is more than a little underrated. What was the value in making him heel before the Hogan match, except for to have Hogan leech off of his heat and make sure that he didn't have to put him over?
  14. Do you have the complete segment of this...I remember it being 'eventful.' I do not. Not that nor the Dusty With a Witch's Hat, from the halloween previous one. They were on justin.tv or dailymotion at some point but no longer.
  15. I do think the ref went to check on Alicia after the fact.
  16. I really want to read Gregg comparing and contrasting Cena vs the Wyatts and the end of Return of the Jedi now.
  17. The initial heel turn is the issue. I think the general idea behind it was that he wanted to beat Hogan so he'd make sure he kept the belt until he had a shot at him, or something, but it really ended up making him seem like just another Hogan goon. Some of his momentum got gobbled up by Goldberg's rise too.
  18. I'm pretty happy raising the daughter, in a few years, the machete way. It seems reasonable enough to me. I might babble on about Wedge Antilles somewhere in the middle, mind you.
  19. Hulk doesn't work in the Star Wars universe. I think there's a lot less room for certain shades of grey. In the Marvel Universe, rage can be a pure, good thing.
  20. Talk about unforeseen consequences. FSW goes. The board gets about 1000% more pleasant and congenial and friendly except for Dank who becomes the grumpiest bastard around.
  21. It was all over facebook too, which is weird since people are interfacing with the guy on a level totally different than how we knew him, which was mainly through groaning and ridicule.
  22. Man, the Producers is so much better with Lorenzo St. DuBois as Hitler.
  23. The Death Valley Playas!
