  1. YES YES YES YES YES YES YES HEADING TO SAN FRAN YES
  2. If your goal is to extend the game and get to overtime, kick the PAT. If your goal is to win the damn game in regulation, you go for 2. I mean, this isn't obscure math. And they still keep a path to getting to OT despite not getting it. Seth Walder explained it here really well. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28100383/going-2-8-points-why-nfl-teams-keep-doing-why-analytics-backs-up Bucs made the right decision, just didn't execute it.
  3. Julian Sayin to Ohio State is kinda weird? Two five star freshmen pro style QBs in one class isn't something you generally see a team do.
  4. Damnit I really think Mayfield was down before he released that pass. Wish they would've challenged it.
  5. He referenced Big Time Wrestling during the Lions/Chiefs game that opened the season as well.
  6. I hate this but what a fucking catch.
  7. In a bit of a surprise, Noah Fifita and Tetairoa McMillan announced at a basketball game they are both staying at Arizona. Huge win for the new coaching staff.
  8. He has way too much Kobe-brain for that.
  9. IIRC, on the intro to the director's cut of Alien on the Blu-ray, Scott specifically says the theatrical cut is the definitive one and he just made that cut because Fox wanted to have alternate cuts for all four for the quadrilogy box
  10. That trade was terrible, but at least Tunsil has been really good to great ever since. Takes some of the sting out of it at least.
  11. I don't want to make light of the Terrence Shannon situation at Illinois, but the judge who ruled in his favor today is named Colleen Lawless. I could totally see a Judge Lawless as a villain in Judge Dredd. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if there has been one.
  12. And for anyone who doesn't know, Authentic is the company that buys the likeness rights from the families of dead stars and sells T-shirts and such of them. SI's classic photo and cover library is probably more valuable to them than the magazine possibly could be.
  13. Tomlin I don't think has ever went outside his current staff to hire a coordinator. He also often hires guys most other NFL teams aren't particularly interested in to fill out his staff. He might need to step outside that comfort zone and get a true fresh voice in the locker room.
  14. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Mike Leach dying in-between the end of the season and bowl game last year. But even then Mississippi State had about three weeks before the game.
  15. Though, to be fair, I don't think Saban and his staff would've given the kid preferred walk on status if they didn't see at least a little bit of potential in him. They definitely did not need a low level recruit to bring extra attention because of who his dad is. I wonder if he's fast enough to move to safety or something.
  16. In other other news, nobody is ever going to feel sorry for Alabama, but I think Kadyn Proctor just became something like the 22nd player to hit the portal since Saban retired.
  17. At first I just sighed and went "another guy failing upward." But I had forgotten that before TAMU he was the AD at Ole Miss who joined with Freeze in just flat out lying about what the NCAA allegations were in order to fool a recruiting class into signing their NLI and being locked in by the time the real news came out.
  18. Apparently was committed to Bama as a preferred walk-on. 247 lists him at 6'0" 210, which is, uh... Undersized for a linebacker.
  19. Siakam is gonna step on the court the first time as a Pacer and try to figure what all that wooden floor with nobody standing in the middle of it is. "You can actually just, like, go to the basket here? Without four people in the way? The other team actually guards guys further than 18' out?"

  21. Detroit gonna be loud as fuck again. (Even a couple Lions players said it was so loud it interfered with their playcalling and signals on defense.)
  22. Yeah it's nuts. Especially if Fisch ends up getting some of his top players to go with him, etc. The domino of one guy retiring is insane. With Harbaugh still up in the air, it's possible 3/4s of the CFP field will have new head coaches next year. Which is pretty nuts. Off hand, I don't remember any team changing the head coach after being in the playoffs that season before.
  23. Their JLA was 1-17, 22-31, 34-41, 1,000,000 and the JLA: Earth 2 OGN. You've read their Arkham Asylum book, right?
  24. Although Michigan is, obviously, losing a ton of talent, there was some good news for the program. Safeties Rod Moore and Makari Paige, Edge Josiah Stewart, and RB Donovan Edwards all announced they are returning to Michigan for another year There's a ton of holes and questions on offense, but the defense has a hell of a lot coming back. Graham, Grant, Hausmann, Johnson, Sabb... Definitely got the talent to be one of the best in the country again (though I kinda suspect if Harbaugh leaves, Jesse Minter probably goes with him to the NFL.)
  25. JDR has way too many misses for me to put him real high, even though his best stuff is great. Waid is my favorite guy for straight up classic super hero type stories. Grant... Well, they are the best. Period. For me, at least, there's never been anyone better than them.
