  1. They spent 15 minutes to set up Ryback-Sheamus, but in the process, made sure to talk about how weak Bryan was and how they'd be putting the title on the line in a match that shortens careers right after talking about Bryan having his career shortened. Ryback vs. Sheamus was something else. The press slam to Sheamus on the floor was nasty, and they're really prepping Ryback up for the IC Title by having him lose two straight. Barrett-Neville really got Bo over. The other guys were in fact there. Loved everything with the Lana-Rusev deal - her accent slipped with every other word, and Rusev was hilarious. New Day vs. CK was good, but wasn't given time to be more. At least the tag title chamber guys are known now. Holy crap was everything involving Owens and Cena perfect - they made that man tonight. The Dolph-Lana stuff was unexpected to some degree, but telegraphed fairly well by having Rusev already in the IC Chamber. Harper and Rowan squash was a thing. Ditto Naomi-Nikki. LOVE CENA-OWENS AT EC! That should be fantastic. The Seth love-fest was great until the goofy cinder blocks. I'm all for Dean getting a main event push - even a surface-level one is better than being on the mid-card treadmill. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2015/05/wwe-raw-5-18-15.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/gfbngu300sfz5d14vfg9p6usqxgwpl35
  2. Stardust-Truth can fuck off. Axelmania and Mandow is such a horrible team. It's like a low-budget indy doing the lowest-budget impression of Hogan and Savage. Sheamus-Dolph was good-ish at times, but really hurt by the commentary. Blood was something different though. Tag title match was a lot of fun. Ryback vs. Bray sucked. Cena vs. Rusev sucked a bit less, but wasn't good. Ditto the divas tag match. Neville-Barrett wasn't much. Main event was easily the best match on the show. Sure, Seth winning with the pedigree, and a bad one, wasn't good in theory - but it sets up the future well. They've been teasing Seth vs. HHH and it's now clear that's the plan for Summerslam. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2015/05/wwe-payback-2015.html Screens - Kickoff - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/y5boruppo2qcilw7trrktrygtku9gu0f Payback screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/9lyv508dij2jijvk8phv71lx088yddln
  3. The show began with a vague video package about Hardcore War before Kurt and EY cut an annoying back and forth promo. EY will team with the BDC against Kurt, The Rising, and Lashley in something called Hardcore War. I have zero problems with Brooke stretching backstage. Fun little match with her and Rebel facing Marti and Jade. Heels win and swear more vengeance on Gail. Anderson-Tyrus wasn't much, but the announcer banter let us know that Brodus Clay was Tyrus's WWE name due to Tyrus coaching Snoop's son. BBQ Pitmasters brawl between Abyss and Magnus was a thing. Wolves vs. Dirty Heels was quite good, but hurt by the commentary focusing on stats and not the action. I dug Gail running wild against the whole Dollhouse and then the entire Robbie E-Jessie thing was great. They started it with each guy feeling a bit like a geek, but by the end of it, Jessie was a violent jerk and Robbie was a sympathetic babyface who got three fair wins in a row. Hardcore War was a fun cluster of a match. For literally the third time in four months, they've tried to rebuild EY as as a serious main event-level heel and tonight, they did it having him beat a man up with someone else's artificial leg. http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/100-tna/42567-tna-impact-wrestling-5-8-15-tv-report-hardcore-war Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/bu78tbg0evnzyc4nsyq89s0dsklu2qke
  4. The opening segment went on for-fucking-ever, and then Dean won a fun little handicap match with the goons. Barrett-Dolph part 393958585 was a thing that further helped Dolph a ton. He got to lose, get laid out with Barrett's finisher, and then get laid out with Sheamus's. Rowan squashed Fandango, and we got a really fun Cena-Neville match. Other than Cena selling an outside-in shoulder before it hit and running to counter Neville AA flip-out before he flipped, it was quite great. Finish was perfect for what it needed to be, as Neville shouldn't be jobbing. Roman-Kane brawl was okay, although Kane kicked his ass and Roman got lucky with two moves. Brie-Tamina was awful besides Booker's note that Tamina has put on "five to eight pounds of muscle". Mandow-Axelmania sucked. Bryan's speech was something else. He's the last real-feeling guy in U.S. wrestling. He comes off as so genuine with everything he does. He vacated the title and said that he's had an MRI and has no idea how long he'll be out. It could be weeks, months, or his career could be over - just like last year. Cesaro-Big E ruled, although E damn near broke his neck taking a risky bump off a belly to belly. PTPs skit sucked, and Ryback-Bray's stuff sucked worse. Main event was a good-ish match and I liked Dean standing tall at the end. Shame it's STILL ALL ABOUT KANE VS. SETH ROLLINS here because they have a chance to once again get a new top-level guy over. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2015/05/wwe-raw-5-11-15.html Screens - Sabrina the Tweetage Witch http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/arbd8uksd1xrqi4fbubvjobbqfc9uik4
  5. I talked about that in the full review to some degree. I highly doubt he actually said that word live and they just bleeped it to imply that. And boy did that stunt that could really cause a shitstorm avail them nothing.
  6. Loved the EC3-Anderson match. It was short, but each guy looked great with EC3's delayed backdrop being really impressive. MVP-Drew was fine. Could've done without MVP's race-baiting promo beforehand. LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE STORM-MICKIE-MAGNUS ANGLE! Dollhouse vs. Gail/Kong was fun. Boy does Robert Irvine ever look like Batista. The Wolves/Dirty Heels promo was great and I liked Drew trying to get Matt into his group. Great segment with Angelina and Velvet too. I initially feared a Winter 2.0 bit with Velvet being stoic, but they've played it off as her just being selectively nuts when provoked. EY vs. Kurt was excellent and I loved that they didn't do the obvious thing and have Bully turn heel. Instead, he was fair and actually did what he said he'd do. This might've been the best Impact on DA - everything about it was either really good or was really good and built up the future. http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/100-tna/42452-tna-impact-wrestling-5-8-15-live-coverage-ey-vs-angle-world-title Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/ldalriq07srgui5wi6zmjq2l8ccjijm3
  7. Goddamn - that is at least several dozen XWT downloads there.
  8. Dixie Carter truly is a woman who would spend $1 million to find out the answer to the $10,000 question.
  9. Jeff Jarrett kind of reminds me of Lyle Lanley from the monorail episode of The Simpsons - only he had better fashion sense. Can't wait for the GFW tapings in North Haverbook.
  10. Raw began with the traditional "people say words", but got great when Orton got into things when he started pointing out Roman's shortcomings after big RKO chants. THEN THE NEW DAY CAME OUT and Orton bopped his head to their theme and even clapped with them. The actual New Day vs. Orton/Reigns match dragged, but I loved Roman's selfishness of wanting to get his shit in costing Orton. And it led to a fun backstage bit with New Day celebrating and Kane being greatly annoyed by their joy. Dug the Cesaro/Kidd vs. Ascension squash. Dean vs. Seth was a fun little match, but really hurt by the commentary, but also aided by the crowd. Rusev-Fandango was a thing. Ditto Truth-Stardust, won by Stardust due to a baggy of plastic spiders. Loved Zayn-Cena. They made a star...pretty much in one night. He's such an amazing babyface in peril. New Naomi-Tamina duo is a thing. Loved the New Day celebrating throughout the whole show. Main event wasn't much of a match and greatly hurt by the commentators calling about 1% of the action. Dean got to stand tall though. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2015/05/wwe-raw-5-4-15.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/wxc1u6hw8oo6to80l9xxwyznh8dbqcon
  11. Pretty sure this was from a Bix news update, not Dave.
  12. Muta should really do a deal where he dyes his white beard to match whatever mask he's wearing at the time.
  13. The opening clusterfuck opening 6-man was a thing. Al Snow's wacky jackets making a comeback amused me. Ken-EC3 thing was a lot of fun. Spud losing the title sucks, but at least they had a really good and fairly safe ladder match. Plus, it led to Spud cutting a fantastic promo in the back. Taryn-Brooke was a fine booty-shorts war. Drew vs. Ki was good-ish, but would've been better without the pipe stip. EVERYTHING WITH THIS STORM-MAGNUS-MICKIE FEUD IS AMAZING. I assume it will be paid off at Slammiversary with Mickie saying "she'll stand by her man" and then picking Storm, or not. Either way, any result works out given how they've built this up. The stretcher match main event took a while to get going, but after the break, was a really good match. It reminded me a lot of the Hart-Michaels ladder match where it was this technically good match that involved a prop, but the prop was a storytelling device instead of just a thing to do stuff off of or onto. They didn't even do an Angle slam onto it - the stretcher was just there for a finish tease and the finish and the match was better for it. http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/100-tna/42340-live-tna-impact-5-1-15-tv-report-hardcore-justice Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/wjigmod1vsv6p2i70ffh6o0lkm1nzcgv
  14. That was so great. She put VICKIE over, and that was the first...so who's the second? That was like a year ago and Steph's been burying talent on-air nearly weekly since this heel character began.
  15. I enjoyed the Steph show, except for AJ being taken out of the #givedivasachance thing if Jericho hadn't brought her up directly. http://www.f4wonline.com/more/more-top-stories/96-wwe-news/42326-live-chris-jericho-podcast-with-stephanie-mcmahon-coverage
  16. I can't wait for Shelton to win the GFW Baseball Tour secondary title.
  17. I liked the show starting with a backstage bit instead of either the generic intro or 20 minutes of in-ring talking. Roman belly-flopping on a spear got a chuckle out of me. Damien Sandow's new gimmick is that he's an asshole who copies, AND INSULTS people. As a result, Axel is my choice for babyface in this feud. He also has better gear than Sandow's blue and red "DS" stuff. Harper-Ryback was proof that Harper is the best big-ish guy in the business. I loved him BRIDGING OUT OF A TOP WRISTLOCK and getting a jackknife pin. Why on Earth he's having matches with Ryback BECAUSE HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE WYATT FAMILY makes very little sense. Just put all of them together again for goodness sake. There's literally no good reason to not do it. The tag team title match was fan-freaking-tastic, largely due to Cesaro. Kidd was fine, but Cesaro looked great with delayed suplexes of various types on everyone, gutwrenches, and the gorilla press too. Loved the pre-match staredown and the post-match bit of Woods and Kofi lifting Big E up. DQ finish worked here because I want more matches in the series and don't want CK to lose a lot cleanly right now. Cameron vs. Nikki was two people impersonating wrestlers, but wasn't bad. Dean vs. Seth was quite good, but too Kane-centric for Dean to really shine. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2015/04/wwe-smackdown-4-30-15.html Screens - So badass http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/3xb81zy02o7jpgbgcoxr3s0mdxivdfdh

  21. Nash looks like a giant Johnny Mundo cosplayer.
  22. Who on Earth would buy that shirt, and why offer 80 colors?
