AUGUST 2019 WRESTLING CHAT.
Curt McGirt replied to The Natural's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I'm a metal fan and the only WWE theme that is remotely good in that vein (as in supposedly "heavy") to me is Strowman's. The last one before that was... uhhh... hmmm... Vader's? -
Masters was the first film my dad ever took me to at the age of five. Of course he didn't know about the whole "parents dying in a plane crash" plotline haha Entombed deserve an extra award for recreating the theme instead of sampling it along with integrating it into the end of the song Hell, Entombed deserve an award for being Entombed

If you feel so obligated. Just saying, whether you do or you don't, there's more than enough free awesome stuff floating around to more than keep you occupied. -

Between the Wrestling Not from the Now thread and the 2019 Wrestling threads on this very board I don't see why anybody has to go signing up or looking for jack shit. -
Raw is Banks Making A Statement - 8/12/19

Seriously. Another one for the "this fucking company..." pile -
Just remembered another soundtrack I have wax of: Colors. Herbie Hancock did a good job, and there are a lot of great original songs on it from multiple genres, but the Hancock stuff is nowhere to be found. So, here's Phantasm

So I'm the one having to make this? Unemployment really isn't doing me any favors... Sasha was vicious with those beatdowns and timing them to interrupt THAT moment was cold as ice. So was the slap she gave Becky, but probably more than anything else, the crowd chanting "Thank you Sasha". Poor Nattie. Raw was also SQUASHES~! The guy with Sua-vay as his last name can't be feeling good now. I completely missed the first pinfall in Rey/Andrade and until I read a live blog was convinced they changed the rules mid-match and were lying about it. Also, that rana out of the ring, wow. Rey is certifiable doing that stuff still. -
Knowing Bob he probably thought they meant the old meaning of the term 'punk' and were going to dress him up like Goldust

Give that motherfucker the crown NOW -
Agreed on all of that, including that last bit. It went over gangbusters in a theater full of high school kids on opening night.

I saw Scott on Action Bronson Watches Ancient Aliens, which for some reason exists on Viceland. Seeing him paunchy and full white is weird. Sabu and RVD were on there too. Sabu threw a chair at a dude

Gotta say, the hopper that came with Dish is already coming in handy. I now have Shivers, Re-Animator, Serial Mom, Cecil B. Demented (screw you I enjoy it), and An American Werewolf In London, none of which I have copies of except for a VHS of Shivers, recorded. Not only that but Epix Drive-In is killing it (Friday the 13th marathon tonight for whenever Raw is sucking it hard!).

Oh, did that crack me up. Perfect response and reaction. On rewatching the episode

WRESTLING ON THE INTERNET NOT FROM THE NOW
Curt McGirt replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Heh, Lugar did like eight "lariats" in a row on a card that probably had Choshu somewhere towards the top. If I was a fan in the crowd for that I would've laughed him out of the building. -
Stomper's belt looks like one of the Hart kids made it for a school art project. I was not gonna bring up Harley's intestines exploding but yeah... that's fucking gross. Harley was hard as nails.

As much as I love punk rock, and as much as I love Heel Backlund, that would be like oil and water. Bobby was pretty much his heel persona in real life. You can't beat that.

What's the context behind that? I mean, I know Bagwell and Norton were NJ guys but Lugar and Wight? BTW, if you want to see Wight do a kip up, hit an Enzuigiri and do a dropkick this is your match -

Today I realized I never really watched any Pierroth. So here's some Pierroth. -
It helps that Eddie's getting to portray a character that was intentionally absurd rather than just being a parody of himself like he has been forever now.

I was just coming here to post that Definitely NSFW

Until watching it yesterday at the theater I had no idea Tana took the hand gesture from Big Trouble in Little China -
