  1. It's a babyface move inasmuch as "frustrated isn't the goddamn word for it, this is bullshit!" was a babyface move by Bret Hart. Like, yeah, he had a point, he WAS getting screwed over in his attempts to fairly win the title, but people were just kind of tired of him and tired of hearing about it.
  2. Something is missing for Strowman with me. His offense doesn't look as devastating as it should for a guy his size. His clothesline is OK, but aside from that nothing seems like it hurts. He picks people up by their necks and then gently tosses them aside. His finisher is really weak. Guy really needs a nasty big boot and maybe a powerbomb.
  3. The co-host is really bad. He's the same guy who did Bret's short-lived podcast and I guess is now doing Bill Apter's, although I haven't heard it yet. I don't quite understand how he became the unofficial wrestling podcast co-host because he's just unlistenable to me. If you can get past that, I think Bischoff's podcast is pretty decent. It's kind of interesting to hear his takes on present-day wrestling from more of a business/production standpoint, and his interviews are usually always good. He had a great one with Ernest Miller a couple of weeks ago.
  4. RAW's babyface situation is really dire. Reigns is as hated as ever and Rollins babyface run has gotten over like a fart in church. This Shield "reunion" is probably supposed to feel like a really big deal but they almost seemed like the heels at the end of the show. They really missed the boat badly on not turning Rollins face immediately when he returned and they're paying for it now.
  5. Flair must have been thrilled to find out all they wanted him to do was go out to the ring and cry. Easiest check he'll ever get.
  6. The main event was odd. Like, it was a good match, and I enjoyed watching it, but I just didn't care. There was no emotional investment whatsoever on my end. I mentally closed the book on the Charlotte-Sasha feud after HIAC and I can't understand why it's still going on. Fun match, but I couldn't have cared any less about who won or lost.
  7. Cody Rhodes' run on the Indies is really reaching new heights. He just won Double J's prestigious "NEX GEN Championship"
  8. Yeah, I'm kind of over the Ellsworth in the main event stuff. Not really looking forward to another Ellsworth-Styles match, unless it's the squash of all squashes that makes Goldberg-Brock looks like a 60 minute iron man match.
  9. Belt? It's a championship, PAL.
  10. I'm not sure it's very fair making Goldberg go through 29 other guys for a World Title shot AFTER beating Brock Lesnar. A win over Brock should kind of already guarantee a title shot.
  11. Tough call, what does a father do when one of his sons injures his other son?
  12. I don't even know how you grade a "match" like that, but considering three of the four PPV matches he's had since HIAC were complete garbage (Ambrose, Orton, Wyatt squash) I'm not sure how high of praise that is. Again, cool finish, but after the BS with the Orton match and the listless performance he had with Ambrose, I don't think another weird, abrupt finish is the best way to book Brock going forward.
  13. In a bubble, I actually like the Brock/Goldberg finish. Problem is that coming off two straight Brock matches that over promised and under delivered, I don't know if a quick squash as a main event was the best idea.
  14. A Brock Lesnar match in 2016 is like a Kanye West concert in 2016. It used to be a once in a lifetime event, now you just hope it lasts longer than five minutes.
  15. Great fight, I thought 114-113 Ward was the perfect call. I could see why people feel Kovalev should have won, it truly could have gone either way, but Ward clearly figured him out midway through the fight. I have a feeling the rematch would be another Mayweather/Maidana 2 - total Ward domination.
  16. RE: CNN's article about Trump's cabinet being fractured. I would posit that perhaps the same media outlets who were wrong about nearly everything leading up to the election, possibly shouldn't be fully trusted to factually report the inner workings of a presidency that they swore up and down would never happen.
  17. Mick Foley really needs to be off TV. He's a mess. It's hard to watch him try to string together sentences on the mic. By the way, is the Superman Punch now the Big Dog Punch? Pretty sure I heard Cole say that tonight.
  18. It seems like the mainstream media is a little desperate to get out a narrative that Trump's agenda is already crumbling and he's breaking all his promises. I guess that's one way to look at it, but wasn't everyone who didn't support Trump hoping he'd move a little closer to the center once elected and attempt to give a nonpartisan look at key issues like healthcare?
  19. People were going to regret whatever decision they made. I'm a black man who voted for Trump, so perhaps I can offer a different perspective. The last two elections, so many in my community voted for Barack Obama solely because he's a black man. When he spoke to us, he gave the impression that he was going to fix our problems just because he was the same skin color. People were walking around inner cities wearing Obama t-shirts – and not campaign shirts – but literally shirts with his face on it, and some cool-looking "Obama" logo, as if he was a rock star. SO MANY of those people feel varying degrees of regret. They still live in gang-infested, poverty-filled areas and they still can't find jobs. I don't necessarily think those people regret their vote in the sense that, if they could do it over they'd vote for McCain or Romney, because they probably wouldn't. Obama is still largely a beloved figure in certain portions of the black community, but again, it's primarily because of nothing more than his skin color. We kind of all realized it was nothing more than politics as usual, which I think is ultimately what turned so many people off to Hillary Clinton. She's politics as usual on steroids.
  20. Trump's announcing his candidacy as a PR stunt for the next season of the Apprentice. He'll never last until the primaries. He'll never actually win a state. OK, he got a state but he'll never win the nomination. So now he's the nominee, but he'll drop out. He never actually wanted to be president. He's staying the course, but he's got no chance to defeat Hillary. Fine, so he beat Hillary, but nothing he's promising will actually come to fruition.
  21. Donald Trump taking out the Bush/Clinton dynasties in the span of about 16 months is the political equivalent to Chris Jericho beating Stone Cold and The Rock in the same night to become Undisputed Champion.
  22. This Orton/Wyatt's thing would be a lot more effective if the crowd wasn't so completely apathetic toward Kane.
  23. Is it possible that this entire Daniel Bryan retirement is one giant work to set up a match with Miz at Wrestlemania? I mean, it wouldn't be the strangest thing to ever happen on WWE TV.
  24. I'm considerably more excited about this after hearing Goldberg on JR's podcast today. He basically said he's willing to spend a few days in the hospital if it means having one last great match. I expect these these two to just beat the ever loving shit out of each other.
  25. I was hoping Ellsworth would turn on Ambrose and become AJ's lackey, but what they did last night was actually better. AJ's missile dropkick to Ellsworth was picture perfect.
