No one can say the Bills aren't trying. I like the new owner, for better or worse they are at least actively trying to improve the team and spending money to do it. The only risk with signing Harvin for one year is if he has a great season he will likely leave next year.

Yea it was the next match in the G1 Climax the same year, in 1991. Crowd was frisky that week. -

At the end of Vader and Mutoh's only singles match. A fun tradition from the good old days. -
No 'family' joke?

Bills re-signed Jerry Hughes before he hit the open market, and didn't overpay for him. Woot.
-
Shady McCoy just got paid, which meant he was unhappy about the trade to the Bills for approximately three days.

You don't have to be the best at something to train in it, just know how to teach. Pitching coaches in baseball aren't as good as the pitchers, QB coaches in the NFL aren't as good at the QBs, etc. Gunn wrestled in WWE for a really long time and understands their style and what they want from their wrestlers. For better or worse.

Absolutely not.

They just posted a one hour youtube video showing a full game being played with one boss. They go pretty slow as they explain what they are doing as it goes along.

People seem to forget the Bills were 9-7 last year with no QB and no OL, they were on the cusp of the wildcard and the NFL may add one more next year. McCoy is an upgrade at RB (goes without saying) and the Bills had a top ranked defense last year without Kiko. My concern is more that I hope that money going to McCoy wasn't Hughes money or 'upgrade the OL' money. Hughes is going to be expensive but I don't want to see any of the cogs from last year's defense gone. And a new OL is a must, a lot of the issues with QB start there, Manuel plays average when he has protection and when the defense is great and the RB is great, all you need is an average QB. If the Bills can still squeeze an upgrade on the OL (which wouldn't be hard) and sign Hughes I don't really see any downside. What I am hearing is McCoy isn't mad about going to Buffalo, he is just mad period. He didn't want to leave the Eagles. Luckily Rex is a 'player's coach' so until he doesn't show up to training camp I will assume that things will smooth over once the shock wears away. No real opinion on the Cassel trade because who cares.

Anyone else considering the Ghostbusters game on Kickstarter? It tempts me, it is just so expensive. Not that I don't have the money but i could get like 5 other quality board games for that price. But it looks like it could be really fun with the right combination of players. And even if the game didn't last I could probably display it with all the boss monsters. I guess I have seven days to decide.

I like the Bills trade. I like Kiko but the defense was awesome last year without him, and the Bills have two other really good young LBs in Brown and Bradham. McCoy is great and the Bills have the cap space so why not. I think it is more risky for the Eagles, Kiko had half of a great season for a rookie but is undersized (he is really good at coverage but was a bit of a liability in the run game), and then missed a year due to injury.

Oh yea that is what my email reply said. Then it turned into 'well we are really really trying to get everyone to pay. We'll charge them extra fees!'. People that ignore assessments also..... ignore extra fees. This will be a fun few months.
-
So my condo association has to do a $5,200 assessment to do some major repairs. Fine, I signed up for that when I got a condo. Now they sent an email saying we have to pay $6,700 because some owners refused to pay the assessment. Uh what? You think I am paying more because other people won't pay at all? I am 99% sure that isn't legal, not to mention it is grossly unfair. Stupid board of directors.

The full event aired yesterday in Japan, I reviewed it on my site for anyone interested. Hopefully we will hear an update on Act sometime in the next few weeks.

Brutalities are back, but they were changed to almost like mini-fatalities. I can see after playing the game for a long time it would be fun to do a finisher that is slightly different, even though its not nearly as over the top as the old brutalities.
-
Yea man, at first I was running, by the end I was running into a group of orcs with a couple chiefs in it and executing people left and right. Its a great feeling.

Per Tokyo Sports, they had a press conference announcing that Yoshiko was banned indefinitely. Also they announced that Ogawa, Fuka, and Nanae were taking a 30% pay cut for three months as the leaders of the promotion. Also something at the bottom about punches to the face being banned going forward and a doctor being at ringside. That sounds right. "Indefinite ban" just means of course they aren't announcing how long, it gives them some wiggle room to see how Act heals up. I imagine that would be a minimum of six months, all the way up to her never wrestling in Stardom again, depending on other factors. But she is only 21, she'll be back wrestling again if she wants to continue that career path.

FEBRUARY 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION
Kevin Wilson replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
If that is true about Reigns, you'll hear it from Meltzer soon, too many people would know about it for it not to leak. It would kinda be fitting if Lesnar ended up screwing WWE over for whatever reason since it is the same time of the year he quit last time. -
Someone speaking for/on behalf of/in support of Act posted a long blog post about the incident (I assume, it was posted on Act's twitter page), Google Translate as always is rough, any Japanese people/readers here able to give a bullet point of what it says? http://ameblo.jp/tkhr-lovepunk/entry-11994326922.html

Stardom still hasn't announced anything, but Tokyo Sports reported that Act has a broken left orbital socket, and the right eye (the one she had surgery on) is still too swelled up to check but they fear she may have a detached retina. If those two things are true, regardless what happened, I don't think they could justify having Yoshiko still in the company. Even if the promotion knew they were going to do something shoot-y (just hypothetically), with the injuries this serious there just isn't any real way to have her back. I am guessing Stardom is waiting to gauge public outrage, and the seriousness of Act's injuries before making an announcement, obviously they've had plenty of time to meet by now so they are definitely waiting for a reason. It also made the cover of Japanese Wrestling weekly magazine, so needless to say it is getting a fair amount of coverage in Japan.

I agree, I think if it went one or two steps not as far it could have been ok for business, but how it ended up, no one is winning here. This was posted at 420chan as on Alpha Female's Facebook. I went to her Facebook (hours later) and I didn't see it anywhere, so please take it with a grain of salt. Although it may have just been deleted (I know famous people do that), and it sounds too detailed for someone on chan to make up: "Yoshiko is and always was a bully. Things like that happened all the time backstage/at training/ streets. Act loves wrestling and would continue to fight even she knows she will die! Stardom has two parties, the ones who are "old school" and love to fight and kind of think pro wrestling is real and the other side do not agree with them, but can't help it. Because guess what, the leaders like Takahashi and Natzuki having the mentality "if you can't take it, stay out!" Do I agree? NOT at all! Its a disgrace! This needs to stop! This is also a shame, because it affects the whole stardom rooster, but believe me not all of them are like that. I hope act has a speedy recovery. She will be back, there is no question about it! I worked for stardom a long time, I know what is going on. I know act, she is a real life hero! ! Many girls left, some didn't even debuted. Iroha is leaving soon. Asuka ramey left. My hope is that yoshiko will be banned forever. Nanae said she is having a surgery on her ankle soon and will be out for a month or so. That means that the other girls hopefully get the chance to change some things. I know from the chats with the girls that they are terrified, few really just want to quit! This is not wrestling I used to love!" Honestly that makes sense.

I know but we are all just speaking in hypotheticals anyway, it was just an example. My point being if the suspension doesn't match the crime of 'unexpected vicious attack' then it probably wasn't completely that and there is more to it.
-
There is such a fine line between looking like you are shooting and shooting, wrestlers have legit busted each other open in the past by accident when they were trying too hard to make it look real, but there is no real way of knowing if that is what happened here. I mean if you watch Act vs. Yoshiko from 2013 it opened in a very similar way, just without the actual damage. Either way once the damage was done it should have been stopped which supports the notion that at least part if it was planned, if Yoshiko had just gone off on Act unexpectedly for no reason you'd have to hope that, knowing Act's medical condition, someone would have stepped in. We'll know more soon as Stardom announces something. If they announce Yoshiko is fired, then most likely it wasn't a planned angle at all and everyone else was just playing along to try to make an angle out of it since that is what wrestlers do. If she is stripped of the title and given like a three month suspension then we can assume it was at least partly planned and it just went too far.
-
It just got uploaded so I got to watch it, yea I dunno. It looks like they both came out swinging and Yoshiko just took it too far, and at times Yoshiko was 'working' (ie she did let Act up when Wada told her to at one point) while obviously at other times throwing legit punches. I stand by my earlier prediction Yoshiko will be wrestling again this year, something else was going on here. If Stardom is aware they had beef and that things may break down, they aren't going to throw Yoshiko completely under the bus. I think fan's emotions are up because it happened to Act, and everyone loves Act, but behind the scenes it may be a situation of two people that hated each other and wanted to throw down, and one going too far with it. Which obviously deserves a suspension but this whole 'banned from wrestling' thing is silly, shoots have happened before, no one gets banned for it. We may or may not ever get the true story but I sense a lot of apologies in our near future. For anyone interested, it is on Dailymotion.
