  1. Haha while funny, to be fair we don't really know who started what. Poor Ryans. All they want to do is eat food and made unnecessary changes to defenses that make them worse, is that a crime.
  2. Not really true, the reason Io isn't coming over sooner is because she has more dates left on her Stardom contract. As far as we know, Kairi's contract ended and that's why she is going to WWE, no one has reporting that either Kairi or Io are breaking their contract with Stardom. We just don't know what types of contracts Stardom uses, if they are long term, short term, set by appearances, etc. But we've seen before, even ROH contracts aren't broken by WWE, wrestling promotion contracts are generally pretty solid.
  3. Nothing came of it because no one that still posts here had any desire to continue it/a general lack of interest. Ditch last I heard is fine, he just got focused on real life stuff and stopped being active on wrestling websites, pretty sure he got a job in politics so may be related.
  4. Talk about a high attach rate. Mind you, Mario Kart came out on the 28th and this is the total for the week ending the 29th.
  5. At least in the slow mo it looks like he avoided his head/neck hitting first, real time looks like he spiked himself.
  6. Yea I had found them all on Tapology, its uh quite a big gym or they don't update very often. But yea I couldn't get a solid feel on if they were legitimately sisters.
  7. I finally watched an Ice Ribbon event and I am fascinated by Team DATE. Team DATE is a group of four sisters (they call them sisters so I assume they are, but can't confirm) with MMA backgrounds, between the ages of 14 and 20. All of them have at least a couple MMA fights (the 14 year old only amateur fights), but for smaller MMA promotions. Even though they are young, I think people are so fascinated either by their backgrounds or because they are sisters, but they are already getting some press. They are featured in both the latest LADYS RING (having the back cover) as well as the Weekly Pro Women's Wrestling Edition that came out on Monday. They weren't great on the show I watched, but it was their second career match. I'm not sure if they are more focused on MMA or wrestling, but if they stick around, they will likely make an impact sooner than later. The 14 year old was going toe to toe with Tsukasa Fujimoto in the main event, so Ice Ribbon is going to push them for sure.
  8. I'd love if Buffalo tried, especially since the A. Williams money just came off the books so they have the cap, but they seemed to go out of their way this offseason to not find a WR2 so I am not hopeful.
  9. Io used to do a running SSP but stopped once she joined Stardom. I don't think women not doing SSPs is because of WWE, since its not a move that any women wrestlers ever do aside from Ray a few times. I always assumed it was a height issue, since most female wrestlers aren't very tall and height helps as it gives the wrestler time to rotate all the way around. Plus its a hard move to pull off anyway. I don't mind Lita being in the booth for the reasons stated, I just think she should be the third. I know some don't like three person teams, but that would allow her to say a few words but not be counted on to say a whole lot, as I don't think commentary is her strong suit.
  10. It will only be somewhat obvious if we know who is signed beforehand to a long term deal. They won't have someone win it that isn't sticking around. But as long as that all doesn't leak out it should be a pleasant surprise.
  11. The price is great, and I like they changed it from "one game a month" to "unlimited access to all 'classic games'" (which appear to be NES games). The voice chat though is definitely awful, luckily I don't play games online like that but I can see that being dumb and to me is the first real misstep that Nintendo has done with the Switch. Besides the availability issues but they appear to be pumping them out as fast as they can. If people haven't seen it, this is how you use voicechat: So yea that sucks. But I like everything else.
  12. I'm glad that Io probably isn't in it as I don't think she needs it. I mean we still don't know the other 30 people so its too soon to say if the field has high end wrestlers or not, but Io will be a star either way. I am not sure if Kairi is going to win either so it will make the tournament a bit more unpredictable as I am sure if Io was in the tournament that she was winning it.
  13. In a not shocking development since it never felt true in the first place, Dave is now saying that Mayu Iwatani is not going to retire. So looks like Stardom is really going to strap the rocket to her back, which I think is a fine decision as long as she doesn't break herself as she bumps around the ring. They don't have too much of a choice at the moment but it should get them through the year anyway as she is popular enough. Then they get Yoko Bito back at some point, who I am not personally a big fan of but she's an established upper mid-carder/main event level. I wonder if they will pocket the Kairi/Io money to get them through potentially slower times, use it to coerce some foreigners to stay longer, or use native wrestlers of high enough caliber to help at the top of the card.
  14. Oh. Yea I've never 100% completed anything. I think I only have like three Gold trophies. I only play/do things that are enjoyable so anything that feels grindy or broken I just move on to a different part of the game or a different game altogether. I'm a simple person.
  15. Watch Dogs was a fine but flawed game. The middle dragged but I actually did beat it, and since I only finish about 20% of the games I start it couldn't have been too bad. It got a bad rap like Alpha Protocol did but Watch Dogs did a lot of things that were enjoyable.
  16. I don't think Death Stranding will be out anytime soon to be honest, looks interesting but looks like one of those games that is teased for years. Maybe an extended trailer this year.
  17. Nor should a COD game win May as well give it to Madden. Shadow of War could have in a different year, the original won Gamespot's Game of the Year, I just don't think anything would top Zelda regardless this year. Since Zelda has a new dungeon DLC coming out in the fall, its not going to leave people's minds anyway. But back to E3 related, are we really expecting any big titles to be announced that are coming out his year? I usually expect trailers for 2018 and beyond at E3. I know sometimes publishers do that "and it will be available RIGHT NOW" thing but not with AAA titles, usually its for ports.
  18. I think so, yea. If a game like Horizon came out in November (in support of Rippa's point) it may have given it a run since it would have been fresher in people's minds and there are still anti-nintendo people out there that will go out of their way to not compliment a nintendo game, but I don't think anything is scheduled the rest of the year that would top it. Mario is more... I don't want to say niche but I don't think Mario has as wide of an appeal as many gamers see it as a "kids game" while this Zelda was squarely not designed to be a kids game. I mean kids still enjoyed it I am sure but it's gameplay was geared towards older gamers. I can see website that split up the awards giving Mario the "Switch Game of the Year" and Zelda the "Overall Game of the Year." Mass Effect being disappointing to many opened the door for Zelda for sure.
  19. I wanted to too, hell I even had an Oculus Rift and a PSVR (I mentioned before that I just automatically buy everything) because I wanted to see what it was like first-hand. And maybe it will still get there, I admit my slight motion sickness is part of my issue as some games I could never play, but as long as they are smooth or I have full control of the "motion" it was fine. But the controller will always be an issue as unless the game is on rails, you have to push something to move which isn't as fun. Unless we all buy these:
  20. I think since the Switch has sold at or past expectations with no signs of slowing down, more games will be announced for 2018 on it. Basically any game that isn't really resource intensive (FF XV, COD, etc.) I'd expect to come out on the Switch if the developers can make it work, being portable is a big deal to a lot of people.
  21. I finished my "light" playthrough a few weeks ago, anytime I know I am going to play a game twice I like to go through the first time and not do literally everything as then I wouldn't have stuff to do the second time. I also don't look up information online in these cases, so obviously I missed some stuff that now I know about. I figure once all the DLC comes out I'll start a new game and by then it will feel quite fresh again. If nothing else I have a lot of side missions to do and I think I only found about 65 shrines.
  22. Oh I agree, I have the same skepticism towards VR as I did 3D on TVs. I think companies are desperately trying to find the next technological advancement and be the first to do it because lets face it, we haven't had one in awhile in general. Each console has better graphics, and while 4K does look pretty its just a prettier version of what we already have. Everyone wants to find that next big new technological breakthrough and are spending millions of dollars trying to find it, but I don't think VR is that answer. At least not to be mainstream. Last I heard, Microsoft had like five companies making VR headsets for Windows/XBox, its crazy since there is no proof at all that the public as a whole is interested in spending $400+ to wear a headset while gaming or using their PC.
  23. I say this as someone that owns an XBox One, but at what point does the discussion start that the XBox One was at best a big disappointment and at worst a failure? It has sold half as many units as the PS4, and about a third of what the XBox 360 sold. Halo 5 is the worst selling of the main series (which seems to have peaked at Halo 3) and Gears of War 4 sold half that of any other game in the series (I mention those two since they are Microsoft's more blockbuster exclusives). The XBox One is by far the least played of my four systems, which is partially because I prefer the PS4 controller and that is what my brother has so any multi-platform game I get for PS4. On top of that, their 'upgraded' version coming out this fall I think will be too high-end for most gamers, so while it will sell I don't think it will really boost their numbers. In 2017 in regards to software, the XBox One has only one game in the Top 20, which is Ghost Recon at #10. I don't think the XBox One truly recovered from the bad press it got at the E3 before it debuted, and Sony did the right things out of the gate and just never looked back. I'm not sure where the Switch counts in regards to console generations, but I have little doubt that ultimately it will pass XBox One in sales even if it takes a few years, since it doubles as a handheld. I have no idea how much longer Microsoft and Sony will keep doing this, as both kinda went from "gaming machines" to "ENTERTAINMENT CENTERS" back to "gaming machines" so I am not sure what their long term plans are. I think this will probably be the last cycle I am so fiscally irresponsible to end up with every method of playing games, I'll probably take a more "wait and see" approach and see if the different options offer something different enough to justify it. I know XBox has their own VR coming out next year but I can't do VR (yet) anyway due to motion sickness issues, so it will have to be something better than that down the road.
  24. That last run by Jericho was really long, and he is getting up there in age. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him in another program for a bit, although I am sure he will be wrestling for years to come. Funny from reading his books and how it started in WWE that he is the veteran that got the "come and go whenever you want" card, but congrats to him for being able to get it.
  25. I wouldn't call this a barn burner, but its my favorite match from GAEA on 5/14/95, their second show.
