We had quitters in our first match together on the first day of the tourney, but we ran into a unit on Rusted Lands that had absolutely no quit. Probably the most entertaining match of the night. Happy to hear that Mis is getting back to form. He was struggling in a couple of matches on Monday and I need him lean and mean to get me to Rank 5 and carry my ass to the winner's circle in 35 PoE and the Hard CE raid so I can back into that Year One emblem.

I got a Radegast's Fury with Tripod and Grenades / Horseshoes from the match last night where I was top killer. That launcher is soooo sexy! 95% of the time that would be true but I went 15-8 in a win on Burning Shrine last night against a six man fireteam. I credit the notion that no one on my team looked at the roster queue before the match and knew what we were up against. That and we C spawned, so we had the early advantage. They skipped A and tried to rush C but everyone from our unit was there and we team wiped them with gunfire and grenades. I got my ass kicked by a unit with a 4 man team of spawn killers last night, Not fun. Only loss of the night but still frustrating. And yeah, Rippa. Mis's guys know what they are doing. We were totally Stan Hansen squash matching teams on the first night of the tournament and as usual, I went back to my General JT persona and barked out orders. Hopefully no one got annoyed with me.

I have a shiny Dead Orbit helmet in the bank waiting for the day when Xur hast he Bones of Eao in his Santa bag. That day was not today. I love how players on the Bungie boards who are armed with Gally, TLW, and pre HoW Felwinters are complaining about how Thorn users are ruining the IB. I imagine there are a few new people out there getting SUROS for when WT 2.0 drops and hopefully AR's don't suck anymore. Yesterday was bittersweet. Went 5-1 in the IB with randoms and my last match was a Comeback victory on Blind Watch where I was Best.. Around... My team did the old B/C thing and we bled out the other team for a while until 2 members of the team dconned and we quickly went down 5K points when the spawns flipped. I went into berserk mode and waded in with Arc Blade and Shotgun tactics. It was ugly. We finally got backup players with 5 minutes to play and our team just slugged the other team in the face in a last ditch attempt to take back B and C. I thought we were going to lose until some awesome dude fired the Gally rocket he'd been saving for the right time. I nearly cried. Only bummer was that the low K.D victories brought down my overall K/D to 1.36. Tonight is Quality Time night with my woman so unless we get into an argument or something, I will be offline. I am Rank 2 now so I hope to get online on Saturday and Sunday to keep grinding so that I don't have to stay up Monday night trying to get my EL nodes.

Looks like the Bungie Bounty thing was a bust thanks to XBL core services being shit yesterday to the point where the Twitch feed was screwed up. Didn't help that Deej and a couple of the Dames had PvP skills that were not as good as advertised as I mentioned before. HG x SkyHigh was the blood drinker in that unit. I have gone up against Dames members in PvP that have put up far better numbers than Miss Fortune and BelleBunny. It also looks like the matchmaker gave Euro players priority placement. Not exactly fair but makes since given that IIRC HG x SkyHigh is from Norway or Sweeden or something like that. Also explains the early start time in the states.

Trios Championship was balls to the walls if a little uneven because of the clipping. Not happy with DoD winning but I know why it happened. Not every ep can be a go home show for the Technicos.

If the story for TTK is as extensive as they say, I am looking forward to it. For the sake of my OCD, I will have to get on a successful Crota raid first, though. If the whole point of the plot is that Oryx is seeking revenge for his son's death, I have to be present at the perishing. I really like the idea that: but it also sounds like a Borderlands plot device.

Between the late start and the fubar XBL core services thing that killed matchmaking, I was happy to get as far as I did. Rank 2 is close to the horizon and 3 shouldn't be far behind if I get some trigger time in on Saturday and Sunday. I will probably hit the IB on the last day of the tournament to take advantage of the rank boon if I am really close to 5. And finally news about TTK. Bungie is very high on this quest format so we are going to have to earn our third subclass via completing the story missions.

Went to dinner with my parents so I probably missed most of you guys last night. Didn't get on until around 8PM EST. Lost two matches horribly and dconned out of three or four thanks to parent's crappy Xfinity gateway (they say they are getting a replacement soon.. not so sure..). Two of the dcons were serendipitous because the team I landed on was getting thumped badly. My team was about to lose the fourth match but a two-man fireteam lagged out on the other team. It was 6 on 4, but we were down 4K points. We took advantage of the numbers game as best we could. It was harder than you would think because the 4 remaining Bravo team members were pretty good and the lower half of our roster sucked. Thankfully the replacement players for Bravo sucked and we pulled out a win. First match of the night I had positive K/D and it was a whopping 2.25 (18 Kills - 8 Deaths) . Cashed in two bounties and two loser medals. I have two bounties left over to work on tonight. I am a quarter bar away from IB Rank 2. If I have a good run and cash in at least two bounties tonight, I should just make the cut. My kinda sorta common law wife and I have declared Friday night to be Quality Time night so I will not be online. I will try to cram in some gameplay on Saturday and Sunday as I'd like to push to Rank 5 and get that second Etheric Light node. In the first two matches of the night I was in, we lost because assholes would quit out at the first sign of a score change even if It was a couple hundred points.. So much for the warrior spirit in Milleninials and teens.

I think that DVDR and the Coalition of the Willing members from our brother clans could give them a good run if they were playing vanilla Control or IB rules. HG x SkyHigh is a total serial killer.. We'd have problems with her. BelleBunny and MissFortune 21's stats are respectable but nothing to write home about. Deej and Cozmo are the x factors. No telling what items they just gave themselves. They probably have all Light 42 HoW gear that just happens to buff Scout Rifle load speed and ammo supply so that they can effectively use the Fate of All Fools rifles they poofed into their inventories.
