  1. I just don't see Cody as deserving to rise above the midcard. He's perfectly fine and acceptable, but is he really on the whole any better careerwise than pre-TNA Jeff Jarrett? He just seems to be a modern day Jarrett (jack of all trades, master of none, average at best athleticism)
  2. I like the idea of giving the women the 8-9 slot on RAW, or maybe 930-1030. They got enough women to fill an hour, with an extra match on a C-show sometimes. I'd say let the tag champs and world champ appear on both shows, and give former champs the right to appear on the other show for a rematch. The New Day could use this rule to scam things- and have say, Big E try to steal the IC belt while RAW talent. Also maybe throw in a rule for US/IC champs where if they spend long enough with the belt they get to be auto #1 contender and get a world title shot. There's always going to be some messiness and handwavium unless they enforce "rules" strictly.
  3. The whole fired thing makes no sense- unless you wanted to be fired. Also led to the Odarg the Great stuff which was pretty dreadful recently, and I like Grado.
  4. I always thought Gagne was decent, just a bit bland. Would have been perfectly acceptable as a midcard cruiserwright in WCW's early days of the Cruiserweight Division.
  5. The New Day was a unique case- because much of that I think was due to Up Up Down Down giving them a bit of insurance. Also Miz can get anyone over- think Miz & Morrison, his world title run (which was deserved), and even getting useless Riley ever. He could have gotten Erik Watts and Greg Gagne over.
  6. Cody is a guy who would have done a lot better in a less athletic era, like 30 years ago.
  7. didn't he get a major knee injury that derailed his career shortly after?
  8. I thought it was a nothing episode myself, though I'm ok with chickenshit Chavo- he has a use- and that is to die for us- hopefully sooner rather than later.
  9. I'm kinda expecting the Mayor to be a Wolfgang Krauser or Geese Howard type for some reason.
  10. Sexy has grown on me a bit, I liked what I saw of her AAA work when I was able to watch that (plus I hated the Apaches so that was a plus) That match was good 90s-style wrestling, minus the headshots, which I'm glad we don't have anymore.
  11. On the Ryback stuff, what he is making is a case that talent should be "harder to work with" and should refuse to job at times, because ultimately if they are draws, it is good for their bottom line to protect their spot.
  12. If something happened to Rusev Japan or AAA would love him, he'll be fine.
  13. I thought Dash and Dawson would make great midcard mercenaries, or at least an upgrade over J&J Security.
  14. Jarrett had some good early career matches- he had a good series with Eric Embry in World Class- which set up Embry's face turn down there, and his 1st WWF run had plenty of solid to good matches. Yeah, he was booked higher than he should have been later on his career- but he was a very solid wrestler, capable of having good upper midcard matches. If you want underwhelming for the money- look at guys like Kronik. or Stevie Ray, or Kurrgan.
  15. https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/4fvjgs/got_to_hang_out_with_kenny_omega_last_week/ Kenny Omega is a pretty cool guy. This is what he did for the person who made him his arcade stick he'll use at CEO/EVO.
  16. Alexa to me would be a good midcard manager- that's her ceiling.
  17. I want to see the Disciples gone as well- they're by far the worst performers in LU. Texano- I can tell he's good, he just hasn't been part of the big LU picture much. Maybe it's just hard to work his character into the mix against the monsters/ninjas/aliens at the top of the card unless you went Survival Tobita with him.
  18. Does El Rey run this on replays at any point on weekends or during overnight hours? Wondering if the time they normally show it is the only time they do it?
  19. Thought it was Lance Storm who was really into the Cracker Barrel.
  20. Actually, Obamacare can't discriminate based on what you do I believe- so I believe pro wrestlers could get fairly cheap coverage compared to what they should be paying. Just get a platinum plan and pay $500/mo.
  21. I think with Silas it's more his offense doesn't fit his gimmick at all. Agree with everything above.
  22. Mine is Big Daddy matches. In the US, Midnight Express squashes and Eric Embry bleeding.
  23. A Kyle show would easily be fujoshi-bait enough to fit on the CW.
