  1. When you're taking the bloodiest of money, it's best to keep it on the down low until the last possible second,.
  2. I don't really follow these things, why is Oppenheimer a summer release? I just don't picture people running off to the theaters in July to see a movie about the man who became death and destroyed a world. I've been interested in the Manhattan Project ever since my grandmother told me she worked in a factory that made wiring for both bombs(had a letter signed by Harry Truman thanking her) and I have no desire to see this movie.
  3. Apple is going to give them an insane amount of money for a few more seasons, spin off, and/or movie, that has to be why it was listed as a Season Finale and not Series Finale. It seems like everyone involved is smart enough to make it work, they could do two separate shows, one with Ted back in Kansas City and the other with the Greyhounds and the start up of the Women's team.
  4. Having actors in make-up or CGI'ing in aliens cost money, that's why they're all humans.
  5. Couldn't the Empire have had just "humans" at that prison, since they were the best suited for the work they were doing? Wookie's would have been at another prison doing another job, Greedo's at another and so on.

    30 For 30

Co-signing that Part 1 was really good, way better and different than I was expecting. Apache Dan was all over the Showtime doc about early MMA in Pittsburgh, really hoping he shows up in Part 2.
  7. There were multiple reasons the WW(W)F ran the main event before intermission. The building curfew, OT for arena workers kicked in after a certain time. At MSG and a few other arenas it gave fans time to catch the last train or bus out of the city. Ticket sales for the next show started before the last match on the card, whatever angle happened in the main event would hopefully entice fans to buy tickets for next month that night. Crowd was less drunk, so less inclined to riot before intermission. Allowed the main eventers to avoid cheering or blood thirsty fans after the show. I grew up in Pittsburgh and they also did the main event before intermission, but for most of 1983 the "main event" went on last with Backlund defending the belt against second tier challengers, Don Muraco defending the IC strap got the slot before intermission since those matches set-up the draw for the next month, more than half the crowd would be gone when Backlund hit the ring.
  8. King Rat is on tonight at 8, if you’ve never seen it check it out!
  9. Same, but that's my issue with a lot of podcasts.
  10. The Brady Bunch house is for sale, the interior was remodeled to look like the original set a few years ago. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/11222-Dilling-St-North-Hollywood-CA-91602/20025974_zpid/?utm_source=zillowgonewild&utm_medium=zillowgonewild&utm_campaign=zillowgonewild&fbclid=IwAR0VKYi7Nl0v9MzoTDb4DK2ml9gs_4IkDTSLlWU3KiYM6bWJxiybFbX7PPA_aem_th_AbLT2J3cU7gWdA-pHkCsfF12l7fYtbCv7qmPAmsj_Z4ua14LRhIk_qAUykw7aEKtx0U
  11. Peacock has another $19.99 for a year deal going on, the offer code is SUMMEROFPEACOCK.
  12. He seems like an Imperial, Grand Moff Something.
  13. Not sure where to post this? Rick Dalton passed away at the age of 90, totally thought he died of lung cancer years ago.
  14. Also take into account that she normally wore high heels.
  15. What "shooting" skills did Bret have? Everything I've seen or heard about when it comes to "The Dungeon" was that people willingly allowed Stu to put them in holds. While I'd have my money on Bret in a legit fight, Hulk was trained by Hiro Matsuda and was aware enough to sprawl and front face lock Verne Gagne in their scuffle, also Hulk would totally go for Bret's eyes if shit went down.
  16. After thinking about it, I wonder if this was some sort of test Vince tossed out there to see what Nash's response would be. Like if Nash said "fuck yeah I'll knock him out" that would show Vince he's loyal or something and would do whatever Vince asks of him, it seems like some sort of executive bullshit Vince might have read in a magazine or copied from some other asshole he knew. I'm sure if Vince gave Bret the same spiel that Bret would be totally into it and would have told Vince he'd "wrap Tyson up like a pretzel".
  17. Tyson would punch Hogan in the gut and the Hulkster would be shitting blood for the next year.
  18. Unless the Commissioner wants to unify both parties in Congress into something they can agree on, that game will be on the NBC affiliate in the local markets and possibly the secondary markets.
  19. I think the Noogie was his finisher when he returned in the summer of 1990, then once they started to exploit the war he switched to the Camel Clutch. Or they realized the Noogie was a bad finisher to use with Hogan and made the switch, the Camel Clutch is a great heel finisher for a babyface to sell then break out of.
  20. Just a reminder that Hunt and Liddy were evil mother fuckers.
  21. I used GI Joes for my wrestling league prior to the release of the WWF LGN figures. Some of them got to keep their Joe gimmick like Steeler who came with the tank, he got the big babyface push since he was from Pittsburgh, Rock n Roll the machine gunner was Hogan, Gung Ho was Sgt. Slaughter, Snake Eyes went heel and was The Masked Superstar.
  22. Apple is going to give them an insane amount of money for another season or two.
  23. Tito started using the Figure 4 during his feud with Greg Valentine, after that he’d break it out once and awhile but the forearm was always his main finisher.
  24. The WWF was pretty good with not allowing someone new or returning to use the finisher of someone who was already in the company, DiBiase had to use the Million $ Dream since the Figure 4 was Greg Valentine's finisher, Sarge had to use the Noogie when he came back since MDM was using a version of the Cobra Clutch.
  25. Joe Kapp passed away, he was before my time but he was all over old NFL Films stuff ESPN used to air on a loop back in the day. Besides taking the Vikings to SBIV, he was a CFL Hall of Famer, actor, coached Cal and no sold Angelo Mosca. https://www.sfchronicle.com/sports/college/article/joe-kapp-former-cal-quarterback-head-coach-dies-18087424.php
