TNA has been full-time at points though, and asked people to relocate to OVW full-time. Additionally, they've often made it harder for their talent to get other bookings. Part-time or not, when you want to be taken seriously as a WWE-altenative you don't want your talent on food stamps or working Sunglasses Hut. Which bit of that do you not get? -

That's nothing. I just had to Google Jennifer Lawrence. -
The thing is it's not the Year 2000 and there's lots of ways to catch up on what happened on RAW, not least all the other WWE programmes which will show the important bits. I think we all know at this point that WWE is overexposed with way too much programming, not least the weekly 3 hour leviathan. The fact that Brock Lesnar has disappeared is a problem, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk being off the show probably isn't helping. There's no one cause, but the ratings for one show in one market aren't nearly as important as the global success of the Network and merch sales.

Russia already has WWE Network. The Russian flag is pretty new, I doubt it carries the same significance the Stars and Stripes does to the USA.
-
Say what you like about The Miz, he got Alex Riley over - this is a great gig for Sandow and it's a shit load better than what he had going on.
-
Rusev has already lost once. Dean Ambrose became a made man tonight, guaranteed. The night truly belonged to him, and he deserves it. Twice, DQ losses to Swagger and Show.

Ryback is rehabbing from surgery. He wrestled for 7 months with two hernias, Roman Reigns is a pussy.

Man that looks great but I hate that this has become the most overused spot in WWE today. -

I like the idea of some big Legends tag where Sting, Taker, Angle, Austin and a couple of others have one final go round and then absolutely never wrestle again. But I just don't see an opponent for Austin that would work as a big comeback feud. People may forget that Taker's only non-Wrestlemania match since.....the last Kane feud (?) was against Dean Ambrose. An angle where none of the roster want to deal with Ambrose so he drafts in Taker, Sting, Austin and Bret Hart to face The Authority or somesuch could work really well. -

Not really, he main-evented the final PPV. He also tagged with Kevin Nash and feuded with Kanyon, which I guess was a dropdown of sorts but not really given Positively Kanyon was one of the best things in late WCW. Iirc the night Booker T won the World Title for the 1st time Kanyon had beaten him clean earlier in the show, he was fairly protected at that point. -

From what I recall, he came to the conclusion that they would never seriously push him. This came on the heels of him jobbing to Drew Mac in like 2 minutes on Smackdown. From there he asked for his release. It's rumored he found out he was going to be fired, and the "asked for his release" story was put out to let him save face (Whether that's true or not, I dunno. It seems slightly more likely than quitting a job that pays better than anything else in your profession. But, I can see ki thinking that it wasn't worth it and hoping he could get enough bookings in the indys and Japan to make out ok. Might have worked out too if he wasn't so adept at burning bridges.) Well, if we go by what DB said about his brief firing after NecktieGate, Indy-famous wrestlers like Ki make more money writing their own tickets than they do jerking the curtain for Vince. Really? Things have changed then.I remember when Punk first signed with Vince and Meltz or someone asked him in an interview what he would do if they (WWE) booked him like Shannon Moore? Punk replied along the lines of "Suck it up and pay for my house in cash, like he did." implying that the money for jobbers was much better than anything on the indy market. Low-Ki has admitted in shoots that he was released, ostensibly because they had decided that he wouldn't be pushed and didn't think he'd play well as a jobber. Various things have happened to cut pay since Shannon Moore was around. -

Indeed. He was released from development for being charged with assault on a cop, but I think if Ric likes him, the marriage lasts and he doesn't fuck up then he's a good candidate to be resigned if only for Total Divas. -

Roode couldn't get a tryout as a free agent? When was this? I don't buy it, HHH and The Rock are both fans. In terms of TNA guys who have made a decent career, I think Roode and Storm are prety good moneywise. Styles is IWGP Champion. R-Truth has had a good career - he's mostly a jobber but he'll have made his money. Christian certainly used TNA to show he could be more than a midcard heel. CM Punk was in TNA. Right now, there's probably only a few guys on the roster the WWE would consider worth signing - EC3, Robbie E, maybe Roode/Storm, maybe Bram (he's married to Charlotte after all). I don't really know what Kevin Sullivan's point is? -

As has been said in the recent 'Wrestler of the Day' thread, the Goldust skit didn't harm him - not with the put-over job The Rock did for him (and Austin by proxy). The problem was that he was there for a year, and didn't do enough to convince people that he might stay or could make a long-term career in WWE work. This limited what they could do with him. Plus Jericho beat him in a backstage fight, which hurt his mystique a little bit to the internet fans and also hurt him in the eyes of Vince - he doesn't like the idea of his champs getting beaten up. Goldberg in WCW was an unique thing that was never going to *quite* work in WWE in the same way. They rolled the dice on it, but I think they pretty much booked him okay. -

I had two halves of IPA at 10:20 on Tuesday, but 07:30 is a bit early! I have to say about that Wendy's advert, I know Austin keeps getting those gimmicks they call bills through his letterbox - but goddamn!- 2,944 replies

Despite the original plan being a Reigns push (man, check out all new intros to see that), they seem to have decided they're greenlighting Ambrose. Cena does have a couple of movies to do. -

I don't really see what he can do if no one sells a beating, he can't tie people to crosses or anything too weird, and his Family are jobbed out. Truthfully, he isn't a miracle worker in the ring which is a pity but hardly a crime - and he's performed better than Reigns in singles matches. The basic problem is the crowd wanted to turn him, but not so much Harper and Rowan. And The Shield had just turned so the timing wasn't right. The other problem is them getting rid of the World Heavyweight Title, which was still fucking stupid. Wyatt needed that title, or at least to go after it. There only being one MITB briefcase (which I am more sympathetic to) also hurt him, because Wyatt with the briefcase would have been awesome. I think he's better off taking a break and letting Harper take centre stage for a bit. Is Rowan going back to NXT? Kind of a pity if so because he's got better, but there's a lot of potential too so if he's not doing anything worthwhile he may be better off in Florida. -

Tyson was all kinds of awesome out there, but I don't really think his push can go anywhere unless they're serious about it. Tyson can beat: Diego Fernando Sin Cara Zack Ryder R-Truth Big E The Bunny El Torito Adam Rose (Has he ever lost?) Mark Henry (if he's suicidal) My basic point is that there's no babyface worth beating at the moment. That's why Dolph was excellent in the face gateway jobber role, beating him kinda meant something. -
