  1. The fans were supposed to cheer Orton. They clearly teased the Teed babyface turn but they went a different route - I don't think it was fan reaction particularly that influenced this. I am thinking they had decided it was better to give him Maryse and the Million $ Title.
  2. The feels await you. She says she doesn't want a Hollywood career, but between this and 'The Big C' I suspect she'll have a few people trying to change her mind.
  3. Find a way. Probably the best 30 minutes of TV this year.
  4. Euro rings are teeny? Yeah, he probably shouldn't be doing them but he is a big dude. He didn't actually get even close to doing it either time he tried, but if it builds towards him eventually doing it in a big match then it will be fine as long as he doesn't then start doing it every match. ICW isn't really for psychology purists anyway. It's a lot of fun though. My brother has got the On Demand. I'm off to Sofia for a couple of months, with a good amount of free time. I may consider picking up the service for a wee while.
  5. I saw Sabu wrestle last night. He didn't look too bad, but I was more relieved than disappointed when he was eliminated first in his match with Drew Galloway and Jack Jester. Damo vs Mastiff was a really fun super-heavyweight match even if I wasn't really buying Damo's Van Terminator attempts.
  6. I haven't watched a lot of Impact since the channel change - it just felt like time to move on and they haven't done anything to change my mind. NXT has obviously been a factor here, and will continue to be. If you want to make it to the WWE, it's better to be collecting $50,000pa in developmental than on a TNA pay-per-use contract. Ergo, TNA can't get anybody good who isn't a WWE reject. It's just a dead show at this point - at least with ROH or whatever, you're seeing likely future WWE guys.
  7. I saw DTP last night at The Royal Albert Hall. Pretty amazing - Chris Jericho is a pretty silly Captain Spectacular though; Captain Poopypants more like.
  8. Rousey will be mainstream famous; she just isn't quite there yet.
  9. HHH has been around long enough and during all of the Attitude Era so a lot of people will have a vague recollection of him. Whether that makes him more famous than Rousey depends on how you define terms, but globally I think you could make a case. Fast forward a year or two and then maybe not.
  10. Agreed that gutwrench was absolutely ridiculous, Cesaro is a superhero: I kinda think they should pair him with Neville rather than Kidd, have him start busting out the UFO as well.
  11. Khali is Khali, but surely if they're interested in those markets they should put a couple of likely lads in developmental - it's not like India doesn't have a shit ton of highly-trained, highly-athletic amateur wrestlers; some of them will be able to speak English.
  12. I just watched the Breeze-Itami match from last week. It wasn't really an epic, so I don't really see it as a 'feud-winner' - everyone knows Itami hit the GTS on Breeze in a later match and so it was just a match with a slightly surprising finish. The Beauty Shot is over, but NXT's main-event style is 'war of attrition' style bomb-dropping, more ROH than ECW, and that doesn't suit Breeze much. I think he'll get called up this year anyway.
  13. RVD was backstage at Wrestlemania, so things can't be too bad there.
  14. Having watched all of it in bits, it was a very solid show but I don't really see Lesnar vs Reigns as an instant classic, HHH vs Sting never really clicked from the goofy entrances to the run-ins to the awkward handshake, Bray vs Taker wasn't great and why is Taker wrestling anyway (a question they gently touch upon on commentary but not enough to make you think they intend to answer the question)? Ladder matches have been done to death (they feature on 2 PPVs a year at least), Rusev vs Cena was a little short and not their best match, and obviously that Rousey segment went on for fucking ever. Best show ever feels like a stretch; it exceeded expectations.
  15. Fair enough; they had MizDow as favourite this afternoon. I wasn't really convinced about that. You can still get 7/2 on Reigns if you think they're wrong.
  16. Rumblingz~! & money have Brock Lesnar & HHH going over tonight.
  17. Sounds like a fun way to get drunk on two pints. Gotta love a beer flight.
  18. Before people were pissed about Roman getting pushed over Bryan, they were pissed about him getting pushed over Ambrose.
  19. The only thing that's holding me back from CenaWinsLol is the fact that Daniel Bryan is favourite to win the ladder match and be IC Champion. Assuming Reigns is going over, I would have to question the logic of having the secondary belts on two bonafide main-event superstars. Ambrose going over wouldn't be that much better for Reigns. I don't see Cena losing per se, but I'm not sure he'll walk out with the title. The crrowd will deal with Cena kicking Rusev's ass, but him ending Rusev's undefeated streak not so much. Rusev goading Cena into getting himself DQ'd is probably the smartest outcome at this point.
  20. My brother is dragging me to see these guys in London this evening:
  21. Ultimately I think there will be one more Deadman entrance next year, but I'm definitely for some kind of Bikertaker. There's one more match than last year, and no obvious match you can easily do in 5 minutes (save the Divas match perhaps). Every match (save the aforementioned, & maybe they can schmozz Orton-Rollins after 6-7 at a push) kinda needs at least 12 minutes, if not 15. I am hoping they keep the two main-events to around 20 minutes so the card can breathe. Ultimately, the big matches could go either way quality-wise so they'd be wise to give the undercard every chance to deliver just in case it all goes pears in the last hour. Frankly, I'd cut Lesnar-Reigns to 15 minutes and give the time to Cena-Rusev but that's just me.
