  1. You would imagine literally brutal match and get figuratively brutal match!
  2. This just popped into my head: Since Arn's kid is Brock Anderson and Rick Steiner's kid is named Bronson and while his wrestling name probably is not going to be Bronson Steiner, if it was, you might get a future wrestling card that said "Brock Anderson vs Bronson Steiner"! That just sounds so F'n badass, that it couldn't possibly live up to expectations, even when those two would be in their primes, no matter HOW good they end up getting. Can you think of any other pairings that sound so good that the actual match between them could never live up to the expectations their respective names seem to suggest?
  3. This may sound like irony or sarcasm, but I love that Edge can just change his gear and theme a bit and go back to his early days more than 20 decades ago, even if for a moment! I legitimately wish I could do that and be back in the late 90's for a flash or two!
  4. There has been a few posts about the crying fan in AEW on a couple of threads. It seems as if Vince really wants to create a stadium full of crying fans, too! Just not fans crying tears of joy!
  5. Yeah, and since Moustache Mountain already has a precedent where the towel WAS thrown in, the ref had to be close to just calling for the bell. "Here we go with these cowards throwing the towel in once again... wait, you say you didn't? Are you sure? You seem like a quitter, man! I'll ask the other lad!" Them BAM!!
  6. Becky will deny doing that, though! And you know Sasha will deny everything, anyway!
  7. When Becky's music hit, I was like "well, THAT's a decent replacement and a BIG surprise", then before the match even gets started, it's over. Did I say something about giving the audience what it wants, the right way? Yeah, this is not it! Hell, it's like Vince somehow did see the Punk debut and said: "That's not how you do a surprise, THIS is how you do a surprise!" I'm having The Good Place flasbacks here!
  8. You ate it right after Christian retired it? Well, ok I guess I can't have it, then. At least somebody had some use for it. I didn't really have a place to properly display it, anyway!
  9. You could almost literally hear a pin drop during Carmella's entrance, then boos, then a little promo by Belair and then...
  10. Understanding is fine, but do you also agree with this? You don't really want to damn potato chips to hell, do you? I want to believe even @jstout will reconsider, once the chips are out of his reach and/or sight. Let's not do things we can't undo here, folks!
  11. Who the hell would have ever thought that giving the audience what it wants would turn out to produce positive results? Getting people pumped up for something, then delivering exactly that, the right way, and building up for more to come. Leaving the "customer" both satisfied AND looking forward to more in the future? This is a very daring new strategy and I find it odd that no one in the history of ever has had the balls to try it before this.
  12. And it has already been like that for a few weeks or months before this. The waning interest has been going on for years now.
  13. If Christian has no use for it, I'll be glad to take it off his hands. I have not seen the design all that much, but it looks nice enough to me.
  14. I know it doesn't exactly solve the problem, but you don't have to worry about Tyler Rust taking up ANY time on tv anymore.
  15. I'm guessing the stipulation called for Lumis to stop pursuing Indi if he lost. When he did, it was Indi who took it upon herself to make the deciding move. I mean, what was NXT going to do? Fire Lumis for not adhering to the stipulation? Would seem kinda hypocritical after Kross has been allowed to raise all kinds of hell and until he assaulted Regal, pretty much was going unpunished. Also, maybe Regal thought a stipulation like that was kinda nonsense anyway, and not really worth his time to try and uphold, given the aforementioned Kross situation and other, more pressing matters (Cole-KOR etc.)
  16. Yes, and I was doing mine by being an annoyed fan (or playing the part of...)
  17. That's it, he's dead! And if he isn't, what can he do about it? Confront Faces of Fear for nearly crippling him? That would end up equally as badly for him, if not worse.
  18. SHUT UP, Young Bucks! This is not about you! You are not wanted here!
  19. In 2015. ...exactly like The Vile One alluded to on the previous page, but I hadn't gotten that far yet.
  20. Alright, I did go do the trapbar workout and just HAD to try that v-hold press with 35 lbs. I was able to do some reps but kept falling backwards constantly. I was able to struggle back up and kept pressing while falling down and getting back up, but there was definitely nothing "casual" about the whole attempt and it probably looked pathetic, but I was alone, so it's fine. I'll keep at it. Trapbar itself was fine, with 10x140, 8x220, 5x286 and 5x363 for warm-up and 6,6,4 and 5x451 for the actual work sets. Plenty of shrugs and some ab work and that's it for this week. No complaints so far, seems like I didn't lose all that much during my time off. That should bode well for the rest of the year .
  21. What a bunch of cheaty cheating cheaters Pretty Deadly turned out to be against Moustache Mountain! That was pretty amazing!
  22. As far as Punk's themes go, I'm very partial to This Fire Burns myself. I even tried to get into Killswitch Engage because of it, but that didn't really take.
  23. Fuck NO! Let's see if I can GET to that position first. Then maybe, I can tell you if I can raise my arms while in that position. Pressing weights while in that position, you will probably have to wait for quite awhile for my reply on that one! Yay! I was able to do something with 11 lbs and then 26 lbs, but I couldn't get my legs that high in the air though!
